Manager Accounting Used the software for: 2+ years ### "What I Like About PayHOA" September 18, 2024 4.0 I decided to use PayHOA 5 years ago because other software was too expensive, required an upfront annual payment/subscription, and limited free support. I like getting instant auto help feed back and if you need more help, you can email a support team member. I usually get help the next morning and the problem is solved. Pros The support and help menus. Owners can log into their accounting history and have a place where HOA documents are stored. Cons Because the software is web-based, sometimes the balance sheet doesn't update immediately. You may need to wait 1-2 minutes. Support has been excellent, and software is intuitive - multiple software functions at a fair price. Pros Support by the PayHOA staff has been superb - the response time to my numerous questions has been excellent, and answers by the staff are easy to understand and implement. In addition, PayHOA software offers robust functionality at what our condo Board felt was a very reasonable price-point compared to other software firms. Cons Steep learning curve, although that's likely an issue with any similar software product. Chat option is wonderful along with the video tutorials, etc. I think the software will get even better over time. Pros User friendly, onboarding very simple for new owners. Communication tab is a good tool as well. Cons Inability to print checks directly from PayHOA. Inability to go back and edit a transaction (memo line etc) after entering a transaction. Pros The customer service is fabulous. They respond immediately with the answers to your questions or they fix the problem and tell you how they fixed it. If you still don't understand they screen shot you the diagram so you can see exactly what they did. Cons Sometimes i get frustrated when i cannot figure something out on my own. And it takes less of our time, we make decisions quicker. Pros Easy to set up and get started. We have 8 units and all owners were able to manage their accounts intuitively. Receiving and sending payments is easy. Cons Would be nice to have more integration with their partner bank to get account statements auto loaded into the portal. I have basically been able to teach myself how to use the system. But when I had a question, I could count on getting an answer usually within minutes. It also seems that most homeowners are happy with the system. The program is exactly what I had hoped it was. Awesome! Cons I can't think of anything right now. Pros As a management company, we love their ease of use for our team and our clients. They are very communicative with our team when we have questions and solve issues within a very short amount of time. We have been a partner with them for years and will continue into the foreseeable future. Cons There isn't anything that we do not like about PayHOA.
