My overall experience has been very good.

Pros

I love that the site is a one stop shop. Resident profiles, accounting, invoicing, and resident communication is all done from one place.

Cons

At times, I had trouble figuring out how to do something, but thankfully, my rep sent me a link to FAQ's and I was able to navigate the site well.

Customer support is awesome!! Whenever you have a problem, there was always someone there whether it’s through a chat box or a simple phone call. Someone is always there to help.

Cons

Navigating thru the program as a first time user. Once you go through the initial process of adding all the information that is needed it is a very user-friendly program.

### "PayHOA- A great tool for our HOA management needs"

has been the perfect fit to assist our rotating HOA Board in managing our small neighborhood activites. As the Board positions are on a volunteer basis, simplifying the required tasks is always greatly appreciated. The PayHOA staff has always been very supportive in addressing any of our concerns or training needs. Additionally, they have been very open to hearing and considering any of our suggested improvements.

Pros

Many of the modules have improved the efficiency of the Boards activities, but here are a few to highlight: -The Budget module is easy to use and allows for great continuity from one Board group to the next. -The Request module simplifies communication and followup between residents and the Board. -The Broadcast module has eliminated the need to keep a seperate email list or forwarder to ensure all residents are included on Board communication. -The Documents module has eliminated the need for a redundant application such as Dropbox. -The Invoicing module has greatly simplified the Treasurer's tedious task of notifying and following up with residents on Dues payments.

Cons

The Broadcast module only allows for the Board to communicate out to the residents. There is no feature that allows a resident to communicate to all other residents.

We have had a great experience with using it for the last three years, I would def recommend it to other small self managed communities.

Pros

The ability to manage communicate with our homeowners and to be able to track when messages are delivered and opened.

Cons

I would like to see more organization around the violations section as we have some homeowners with multiple violations and it becomes hard to keep track.

Our experience has been very positive overall. Their service staff is willing to answer questions or direct us to how-to videos if necessary. When our management company let us go due to financial issues, we would have had a much more difficult time without .

Pros

They have a courteous, caring approach that makes it easy to communicate with them.

Cons

It was difficult initially to transfer financial records to maintain the synchronization of bookkeeping with our older records.

Very good. Their help desk is super responsive.

Pros

The feature we use the most and that I appreciate is the ability to communicate directly with homeowners about a wide range of issues, whether it be our monthly calendar, violations, pool operations or just about contractors being in the neighborhood. It's fast and it's easy.

Cons

There's a little bit of an educational effort that needs to be made to really get the value out of all the features but spend the time, it's worth it. As a tax accountant, I can say that it really pays dividends to be able to effectively communicate financial data to homeowners with the professional reports available through .

It's been positive overall. For the most part it is straight forward to use.

Pros

I am the Treasurer. So from that perspective, I am very pleased with how handles our finances. I especially like that when PayHOA deposits credit card payments, I can click on the deposit and see exactly all of the items that comprise that deposit including lot numbers. Very helpful when trying to track dues payments. Appreciate the documents section where I can upload our bank and financial statements for residents to view at their leisure. Great tool to assist with transparency. Love that I can email our dues invoices with very little effort.

Cons

I would like to see a tutorial because I'm certain we are missing a lot that can do for us.

Excellent! Was the best choice for our smaller HOA without the expense of a property management company! Questions are answered promptly.

Pros

It makes it so much easier for my homeowners to budget their HOA fees into their personal budgets. HOA documents are all in one place and I can keep track of delinquent homeowners, send out violations, etc. all from one platform. I can also tell when emails are opened which is really great when HO claim they did not receive them.

Cons

So many options that I haven't taken the time to review and set them up due to my time constraints.

I've found to be a 1000% improvement over the managed services company we were previously using. The ability to directly access our homeowners has saved a lot of headaches for us and the people of our neighborhood. Of course, the fact that the entire HOA board is now able to access every detail about our HOA (e.g. vendor information, budget details) with only a few clicks has greatly improved our ability to service our homeowners!

Pros

gives me direct insight into our homeowner requests, payment status, and covenant violations. The platform also gives access to a variety of communication methods to reach out to a single homeowner or the whole neighborhood (e.g. phone, email, post).

Cons

The bank account integration required engaging customer support to get going. They were pretty easy to reach out to (via a chat interface directly within the product), and after a week they had their software updated to connect to our bank successfully!

Excellent. Our HOA adapted easily to the format and we use it for everything - financials, assessments, payables, document repository, communications, etc.

Pros

Ease of use; high level of support; easy access to information.

Cons

I would love to see an easy integration to pay taxes. HOA taxes are not that difficult (especially without amenities) and it would seem an easy interface to a specifically designed section for HOA taxes.

Customer service is always there to answer questions. As long as the price continues to remain relatively the same, we do not plan on leaving.

Pros

offers an easy to use, elegant design for the end user (Members), and a comprehensive suite of products to help HOA Self Manage. Ever since coming to PayHOA our day to day operations has gotten so clean and effecient. Gone are the days of chasing a third-party inefficient and outdated manager around.

Cons

Transition over takes dedication to get things cleaned up, and a deep understanding of how the end user will receive the software change.

I have had a great experience from the beginning of my trial period. Every team member that I've worked with, starting with Mike, has been positive and given me confidence that is the right software to run a HOA management company through.

Pros

It's a hard choice between the support team and the product itself, esp. since they added the payables module! Their team is phenomenal to work with - 5 stars from every interaction I've had with them.

Cons

Some of the functionality of the financial/accounting modules are quirky and you need to take time to understand the timing of the account start dates vs. the transaction dates.

has allowed us to finally bring all of the pieces of running our community together. Banking, budgeting, receivables, payables, communication, and member info all live and interact in the same space. Costumer support is prompt and thorough when needed.

Pros

For us, perfectly fills the gap between being a self managed community while also being able to offer the technology and features sometimes only associated with externally managed communities. It's easy to use and understand, and the customer support is second to none.

Cons

There are a few nuances that could allow for more personalization and customization in budgeting and billing, but not enough to be a deal breaker.

I became a user as the President of the HOA and have found it is very robust and capable of doing things that we are not doing. I have not had to contact support but I am told that it is available and at no additional cost. This is another plus.

Pros

Pay HOA is simple to use, no training required, and it does everything an HOA could possibly need.

Cons

I have not used other HOA management tools, so I do not have anything to compare it to, but I did not find any serious short comings or flaws within the application.

The system is straight forward, the company is very supportive and we were able to reduce our HOA fees which had been going up each year with the management company we were using. The communication program they provide is outstanding and we are actually doing more outreach to our neighbors than before. The entire neighborhood has been very happy with the new system and the flexibility it provides on how to pay your monthly dues. Some members chose to pay monthly while some quarterly, bi-annually and some once a year. The flexibility is fantastic.

Pros

is very easy to use and intuitive. They have done a great job on simplifying everything you need to enable you to leave a management company and do it yourself.

Cons

I honestly can’t say that we have found anything yet we haven’t liked about the system. The first year on it we were a little lost when it came to doing our taxes for the first time without our previous management company but once we figured that out we were solid with .

It has been a very good experience since we came from a simple Excel version of keeping track of payments, etc. The efficiency of the system far outweighs the cost.

Pros

Easy to use with very few problems. We at the Hidden Hamlets in Huntington like the fact it sends invoices and in general keeps track of finances for our 33 residents.

Cons

It is hard to figure out what you owe and when you owe it.

It’s a solid platform that makes managing our HOA much easier, especially when it comes to financials, dues collection, and communication with homeowners. I appreciate how user-friendly the interface is, and features like automated invoicing, document storage, and maintenance tracking help keep everything organized. That said, there are some drawbacks. I wish there were more customization options, particularly for invoices and reports. The transaction fees for online payments can also be frustrating for homeowners. Very positive. I don’t know how we managed without it. Now to get AC on board!!

Pros

As the POA treasurer has saved me an enormous amount of time just with the billing! And there is so much more to the program! Sending 1099s was a breeze! I love having the residents list at my fingertips and all the wonderful report options!

Cons

Still having trouble sending late fees automatically. I am having to do manually. When resending email i voices it would be easier if there was an option for only those past due to click on rather than scrolling through the entire list to check the ones to send invoices to. Maybe I am missing something to make it easier.

Amazing. I honestly could not imagine how terrible this volunteer treasurer position would be w/o . Their support team has also been great to work with, the almost always reply within 24 hours--sometimes sooner.

Pros

We have 200 homes in our HOA, and I've used for the past 3 years as the volunteer treasurer. The web site is very complete, intuitive to use, and responsive. Everything from invoicing, budgeting, reporting, transaction tracking (including support for split transactions) to communications with owners, it's all very well done.

Cons

There are a few small annoyances when using the web site, notably in the transaction approval screen--sometimes a transaction will be marked as "Reviewed" before I'm done tweaking it. Then I have to go find the transaction in the "All Transactions" tab. Another minor annoyance is they could do a better job providing hyperlinks in their UI--for example, on the Dashboard under Recent Payments, they show the Lot #, amount paid, etc. and it would be nice if the Lot # was a hyperlink to details for that lot.

We are very happy with the system and the support team. It has made administering our HOA much easier.

Pros

\* Easy to set up \* Quick & simple to invoice owners and track accounts receivable \* Love the ability to prepare 1099s for vendors \* Terrific support staff \* Cost effective

Cons

The system only allows one primary property contact. To include all owners on invoices & other communications the names must be listed as \[sensitive content hidden\] & \[sensitive content hidden\]. This does not work well when the owners have different names.

has plenty of cool features. As a self managed HOA, PayHOA makes our lives easier. PayHOA has stood out from the beginning.

Pros

Super user friendly. Useful features. Customer service is great! Anytime I need any type of assistance, they reach out right away...usually

Cons

Biggest issue is mainly with the bank uses, AAB lockbox is awful. We may have to go back to our old bank :-(
