### "PayHOA a Timesaver for Volunteer Treasurer"

Overall I would recommend PayHOA, particularly with the integration with the AAB banking and bookkeeping services. The lockbox feature is great, processing expense payments through Payables is easy, and it has decreased the necessary time for our HOA volunteers.

Pros

PayHOA has really streamlined our processes, particularly around our financials and annual mailing.

Cons

PayHOA can be slow to roll out new features, but they have kept to their roadmap and helped us work around any issues.

Pros

It appears to be a well designed system. Your people are very courteous and responsive.

Cons

### "PAYHOA is a LifeChanger for HOA President"

Overall, we are a small HOA that really doesn't need to spend a hefty amount on a property manager to handle all of this. The payment system in place for automated payments is simple to join, secure and reliable. For those owners who insist on checks, recording a payment is a breeze. The tax features are great, bank reconciliation, broadcasts. All work seamlessly together and very easy to use. Highly recommend this software for the price.

Pros

Easy to set up. Easy to use once it was set up. Love the broadcast feature, calendar and file storage. It's a great way to keep everything in one place. The tax features are also nice. Was able to send out 1099 NEC forms to all vendors this year quickly and inexpensive.

Cons

The budget feature gave me fits. Of course, it's probably user error, but I couldn't get the previous years amounts to populate, so I ended up entering in manually.

### "Seamless HOA management "

We went self managed 4 years ago and never looked back. PayHOA made this incredibly easy. We chose to input the owner information ourselves as part of the learning process and to fact check the information that was handed off by our previous management company. The PayHOA team is responsive and helpful.

Pros

The ease of use for board members (or managers) as well as owners.

Cons

That's tough because it is a great SAAS. However, I do not like that I cannot void a transaction. I prefer voiding a transaction as opposed to deleting it to maintain history. This might have changed as the PayHOA team is very receptive to suggestions.

PayHOA makes managing several associations seamless. The up to date integrations are very user friendly even for older people that are not tech savvy.

Cons

A small con that I would like fix would be the ability to customize monthly reports with pre saved branding. I manually do this, but that feature would be amazing.

The new system for collecting votes on initiatives for the homeowners association is really a great addition

I wish that the forms and documents that it can generate were more customizable and I wish we could have a spreadsheet for voting.

Great! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. I found this as I was searching for HOA management software, and I was immediately drawn to it. After looking through the product, it was clear that this was going to be a great fit for my business and Associations.

Pros

It is easy to use, has a great supporting staff and meets all of my small business needs in one place.

Cons

So far, I have not a single complaint about the quality of the product or the services I've received with PayHOA at this point.

Outstanding Staff readily available for assistance. On-line bot provides timely answers to simple problems.

Pros

We are a small self-managed HOA. It would be nearly impossible to meet Virginia law requirements without PayHOA. Its accounting program exceeded our expectations. Annual assessment invoicing is a breeze. Communication has been significantly enhanced. Architectural control is easy, trackable and clearly communicated. 1099 completion is a breeze. And they do tax returns for $399!

Cons

Nothing comes to mind. It was easy to learn and obtain board approval to use it. It has streamlined all processes for our 56 home association.

Pros

The website is very easy to navigate. Support has been efficient getting back to you if you have any questions

Simple, fairly intuitive, no bloat, designed specially for HOA purposes. Easy to learn, to set up and to update

Cons

Updating residents as they change is somewhat confusing. E.g. you can delete a resident or move a resident out. Not clear which option is better or right.

We appreciate the note about resident updates too. When a resident leaves, we'd recommend using the "move out" option rather than deleting. This keeps your historical records intact, which can help track past communications, payments, etc. Deleting works, but it potentially removes that data history from the system. Great from day 1. They made onboarding, setup and use so easy.

Pros

The platform easy easy to use as a board member administrator or association member. It makes it so easy to keep records and budgets.

Cons

The only thing I have seen lacking the ability to edit units once a requests is sent in (just if someone enters wrong) and the ability to delete un-needed emails sent. Really nothing bad to say.

Overall the value is great, with some tuning up of the service responses and the elimination of added fees it would be a perfect service.

Pros

PayHoa is relatively easy to use after getting used to the placement of everything. It has all the features a small building like ours needs, and customer support is responsive.

Cons

PayHoa's support is responsive but inconsistent, as issues often get reassigned after a few exchanges. Keeping the same representative would improve continuity. Additionally, the default response to complex issues tends to be, "Consult your tax pro" or similar, which can be frustrating. The platform also feels like a nickel-and-dime experience—for example, mailing a bill payment via USPS costs $1.50.

We switched from a property management company to Pay HOA this year and the transition has been seamless!

Pros

Super simple to use from a homeowner + board member point of view! And price concious! We love the pictures of the houses too in the neighborhood so it’s easy to match an address to a location.

Cons

Bank information system is difficult to add if you don’t have online access to your account. Maybe I am not doing it correctly so some instruction in that area would be helpful.

### "PayHOA as a Homeowners Associations (HOA) Online Accounting System"

Once this online accounting system is understood, it runs pretty well. I have used PayHOA's support team on several occasions and they have answered all my questions in a timely manner.

Pros

PayHOA has many distinct features fully suitable to Homeowners Associations (HOA's). Some features are not necessarily intuitive upfront, but once you know the little quirks of the system, everything moves smoothly. Monthly reconciliation within PayHOA is pretty straight forward. All that said, PayHOA appears to be a reasonably efficient online accounting program for HOA organizations with many prominent features customized to HOA's. Coming off QuickBooks after 10 years, I can state PayHOA is a good value and I would recommend this product for HOA's.

Cons

The most notable and disparaging feature is PayHOA's third party bank interface. PayHOA uses PLAID as their Bank Interface. The balance pulled by PLAID from the bank is often several days behind the actual balance posted in the associated bank account when viewed on PayHOA's "Transactions" page. It does eventually catch up, but it is frustrating not being able to see a matching bank balance on the same day transactions are posted in the bank account at the bank. In addition, PayHOA lacks aspects of automation other online accounting programs have typically, such as Recurring Journals for such things as monthly Depreciation. Manual journals are required for each month's Depreciation. Report customization is somewhat limited, but I'm hopeful this may improve as time goes on.

Overall, the experience has been positive. PayHOA saves time and is worth the monthly fee.

Pros

PayHOA has made the administration of our HOA much easier and more transparent. The board has access to all aspects of the software and can collaborate and respond to issues easily. The residents can make payments, requests and access their accounts which helps the process run smoothly. We are able to share documents with everyone. I am a CPA and set the software up myself, which took time, but was not too difficult.

Cons

I am having difficulty getting the bank account to download transactions since changing a password. I have disconnected and re-linked it, but it still does not work. I should be able to select any account on the general ledger when making a deposit or making a payment, but this is not the case, so I am forced to make journal entries for some transactions. I should be able to put accounts payable in the system and write a manual check.

PayHOA has made my life and the lives of the other Board members so much easier. I work full time and can't devote an unknown amount of hours to managing something for free. PayHOA has made balancing my HOA duties and my real life requirements so much easier.

Pros

I love the ease of sending mailings right from my desk. No waiting in lines at the post office or hand stuffing 87 envelopes to send out. I love the fact that there is customer service help available to myself and our residents during office hours. I love that I can track payments received and allow residents to pay online.

Cons

The structure of the Budgeting tab can be a bit confusing when trying to add new line items to consider in the budget.

The transition to PayHOA was extremely. I love how easy it is to get started, create invoices, reoccurring charges, etc! Homeowners are able to see their accounts in real time and make payments. When we have a question, the search tab is super helpful. If we cannot find the answer, the chat feature is great! I have also used the meeting feature which was perfect and got all my questions answered.

Pros

I love that PayHOA is so user friendly for both the management company and the homeowner!

Cons

I wish I would be able to create bills for vendors to link payments too.

I have had an overall great experience. Our demo had to be done rather quickly as we needed to make a quick decision on a new product and the staff were able to accommodate our request. Questions are answered with a quick response time and they assisted with uploading our data for our communities. I highly recommend this product after using a different product in the past.

Pros

I enjoy that the system is intuitive and therefore easy to navigate and use.

Cons

When adding new properties, it would be beneficial to have the ability to backdate recurring payments.
