Cons If there were some email templates prebuilt in the system that would have been great. March 19, 2025 5.0 Our HOA's accounting and record-keeping were quite disorganized prior to our implementation of PayHOA and the difference since has been night and day. Our record-keeping, invoicing, and collecting of member dues has greatly improved. Pros It is extremely easy to set up and has made managing the HOA much easier and more efficient. Cons The monthly cost is a little expensive for a small HOA but overall it's worth the price. March 4, 2025 5.0 I tried several products before choosing PayHOA. This product makes it easy to invoice owners, collect dues, and levy special assessments. Bookkeeping is a breeze and setting up your own external deposit for dues is great. They do not force you to use their own escrows, which is a feature I enjoy. Pros It's very easy to use, and the software has many options available to streamline your HOA. Cons The monthly price isn't terrible, but it is a little high when you have a smaller community. Overall, the simplicity of the software and ease of use is worth it. Their software saves us over $350 a month by not having to hire a third-party to maintain our bookkeeping. Pros PayHOA has been an incredible blessing to our HOA. We no longer have to spend hours upon hours working to maintain the bookkeeping tasks! The reporting is fantastic, the invoicing is truly "set it and forget it!" Our residents love being able to make online payments. Additionally, the ability to send nicely formatted emails to the entire HOA, is easy and very professional. Cons There are very few "cons" that we can find with PayHOA. The only improvement that I'd like to see is an easier Payables process. The software works very well and has more features than I have even used yet, but so far it is not lacking anything that I need. Pros I love having visibility into all bank transactions and the ability to automatically categorize them based on a flexible rule-based system. Also, all the features around management of monthly fees, invoices, automatic payment, linking bank accounts, etc. is excellent. Cons The monthly price is a bit high. Also, the transaction fees were increased this year even for ACH. An ACH transaction should be free as they are in most applications. When we used QuickBooks, I worried that if something happened to me, the whole thing would fall apart. Now we have three of our four board members with admin privileges. Backup and accountability all in one. Pros Inexpensive and easy to use for our 4-unit condo building. It's made specifically for condo and homeowner associations with reports and features that I care about. We can charge bank fees back to the unit owner. Cons I'm still trying to figure out how to reconcile the bank statement. It keeps telling me that there is a discrepancy. There are a few who just find signing up to a website a bit of an invasion of privacy or security risk. Those are primarily older residents. The newer or younger residents really like it. Pros Ease of which could set up for all homeowners in our HOA, pulling in data from local clerk and recorder. The accounting and billing makes our management of finances so much easier and clearer, also great tracking and reporting. Pros Pay HOA is easy to navigate and has all the tools we need in one spot. We are an HOA with 84 units, and we just switched to self management. This platform had really helped to keep things organized snd easy to locate. It’s easier for us as a board to share documents, and it’s very easy for our residents to use. Cons This is a small issue, but I’m not able to edit a survey once it’s been sent out. I wrote a survey and sent it to myself just to see what it would look like, but after that, I wasn’t able to go back in and edit it.
