### "A solid product for quick remote support"

Much better than we expected for the price, has done everything we wanted it to and more, although there are always areas for improvement.

Pros

Excellent value for money! Very easy to transfer files, just drag and drop. Quick and easy to access unattended machines. Secure with multiple password layers. Once deployment is set up, it's quickly scalable. Concurrent user pricing model is much better than per user. Customer support is always available and helpful via online chat.

Cons

Unable to see any info about unattended computers such as the username of the logged in user, or a screen preview. Deployment is a little fiddly, it would be easier if you could just download a customised MSI without having to wrap up the commands. There is no easy way to transfer existing ISL clients from one support provider to another. Sometimes the client needs restarting to get all features working again (especially Ctrl+Alt+Del). Product names are a little confusing, which version do users/customers need to install? No easy customisation options with company logos etc.

Its my most important support tool, gives me fast remote access to all my exisiting end users and any new ones too.

Pros

It is fast, reliable and great value investment for my business, i could not operate without, have tried many other remote support and remote access tools this offered the best performance and value for money

To date i am yet to find any fault or issues with ISL, i am very happy with the product

El sistema de grabación de la sesión remota, imprescindible en estos tiempos.El sistema de ejecución modo supervisor, muy importante en equipos con limitaciones en usuarios.

Cons

En el sistema desatendido, tener una mayor clasificación de los equipos, poder realizar sub-grupos.La transferencia de ficheros me gustaría que fuese más rápida.Posible mejora en los informes (no lo he tratado mucho).Algún conversor a mp4 de las grabaciones remotas.

Die Tatsache, dass die Software On Premise installiert werden kann und daher extrem hohe Datensicherheit und Stabilität bietet. Die Software muss zu diesem Zweck nicht gemietet werden, ein Update kann je nach wirtschaftlicher Situation und Nutzen gekauft werden. Das ist in meinen Augen wesentlich flexibler als permanent zu zahlende monatliche Beträge.Zudem ist die Software extrem Downgradekompatibel. Wir setzen sie so weit ich weiß seit über 10 Jahren ein und Kunden, die eine derart alte Version haben können immer noch mit unserem Server verbinden.Teamviewer hingegen verweigert die Verbindung scheinbar wenn zwei Versionen mehr als einen Monat auseinander liegen.

Cons

Die Zusammenarbeitsfunktionen in der Software könnten verbessert werden. Es gibt zwar eine Kollaborationsversion, der fehlen aber meiner Meinung nach wichtige Funktionen, wie die Administration der Verbindungen anderer Mitarbeiter, die direkte Weitergabe einer Fernwartung innerhalb der Software statt über einen Download.

Pros

As a Charity we are always looking to find the best software at reasonable prices. The team at ISL have been fantastic for us compared to another competitor we used for years. The software is quick and easy to use for It techs and users. It is our main tool that is used everyday on the helpdesk. we particularly like the remote shutdown and restart feature and how it automatically reconnects to the same session.

Cons

As of yet we haven't come across anything we don't like.

Muy satisfactoria, me ha permitido brindar atención a cada uno de mis clientes de forma proactiva, me permite monitorear y realizar tareas administrativas sobre mis equipos servidores desde cualquier lugar y a cualquier hora con un ambiente totalmente seguro, me permite saber si alguien de mi equipo toma control remoto de algun servidor a través de notificaciones por correo electrónico lo que me mantiene totalmente tranquilo.

Pros

Es una de las plataformas más seguras del mercado de soporte y acceso remoto, multiplataforma, compatible con equipos Windows, Linux, MAC y dispostivos móviles, excelente velocidad de conexión, intuitivo, transparente a firewalls. Conexiones a través de códigos de sesión únicos y de un solo uso, los usuarios que utilizan la plataforma solo pueden ser generados por un único administrador por lo que le da una capa adicional de seguridad. Para el tema de acceso remoto, es por aplicación ISL Always On y a diferencia de otras plataformas, no queda expuesto un ID y Password que cualquiera pudiese vulnerar, es posible proteger por contraseña la configuración y requieres de contar con un usuario activo y habilitado dentro del equipo para poder conectarte de forma desatendida. Incluye grabación de las sesiones, teclado remoto, multi monitores, atajos en teclado, resumen del estado actual del equipo, con posibilidad de obtener logs más robustos, entre otros. Para entornos corporativos ofrece características adicionales, inclusive con ambientes On Premise.

En general me ha funcionado muy bien, activamente he usado al menos 5 herramientas similares en el mercado y es la que más prestaciones me ha ofrecido.

### "Easy Remote Support"

Pros

Such an easy product to use, I have been using it for a number of years now and will continue to do so! I have a list of all my servers and can just double-click to launch into them. When it comes to providing remote - ad-hoc support - I can simply direct my client to a website - give them a code and we're up and running in no time. This is so much easier than asking people to install an app first, and then give me a code and password etc. Just simple remote support.

Cons

The only minor issue is that I sometimes can't copy/paste between my host machine and the remote machine... this could be due to my Mac making a restriction tho!

Cost was the main issue - Teamviewer's on-going costs can be very high - ISL is considerably more affordable. It also provides some better functionality, as Teamviewer requires the software to be installed first before you can provide support, not all clients understand how to do that!

### "Best all round remote dekstop support software"

We primarily use the product for offering remote technical support to our clients and customers. We are an outsourcing IT company, and we provide services and support to various business in the region. When we have the possibility of providing remote support, we use ISL. Because we only have to provide an eight-digit number to our customers, it makes the whole process much easier and faster. Some clients have become so familiar with the product, that they have it already ready when we call them and they only ask, “what is the number”. The icon is also very distinguishable, so it’s easy to explain the customers what to look for on the website or the desktop. The ability to set an “always on” connection is also very valuable, as we don’t have to interact directly with the clients to establish the connection. It also allows for a fast glance at the operation of the systems, to see if they are online or not. The ability to save the computers and categorize them in groups also saves us time. The stability and reliability of the whole system is very valuable and In our many years of use we haven’t had one incident, where we weren’t able to provide remote assistance because of ISL issues. The sessions can also be paused and transferred to another operator, so if one operator has issues, it can be transferred to another technician, without interruption from the client side. Since everyone can see the active sessions, we can also collaborate much easier.

Pros

\- Easy to use for users and operators - Very fast installation and general use - Easy to start a session with users, only 8 digit number needed - Lots of features, RDP, always on, file sharing, recording, etc

I don't have any real issues with this software.

I recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the expensive remote connect apps. I used many other remote connection software and did extensive research, and I think this is the top one.

Pros

My experience with ISL Light has been great, especially in terms of its performance and reliability during remote sessions. The speed and stability of the connection were top-notch, allowing me to connect to our computers in distant administrative campuses. Being able to use it on various devices made my work much more convenient. ISL Light's robust features and smooth operation are what I liked most about it.

Cons

I think the design can be improved and there are some ways to be a little more friendlier.

Pros

La facilidad de uso tanto para el técnico como para el usuario que va a ser atendido. Tanto si instalas el cliente como si accedes vía web, el usuario solo tiene que introducir un código y ya estás en su equipo. Permite reiniciar y mantener el control, pasar la sesión a otro compañero, grabar la pantalla, etc.

Cons

En entornos Mac OS es horrible, y no por el propio software sino por la cantidad de permisos que tienes que habilitar en el sistema Mac. Aun habilitando todos los permisos requeridos hay veces que se queda la pantalla en negro.

We can not imagine our daily business without ISL Light. We run multiple connections troughout the day to offer IT support to our customers. We tried many different solutions but ISL Light at the end proved to be the most reliable, fast and easy to use for our customers and operators.We would recommend this product over other similir ones any time.

Pros

Software is extremly easy to use, it is very reliable and fast. Connecting to customer's PC is very simple and transperent.Customer support is always there and ready if you need it - but because the product works 99,9% we almost never use it.

Cons

If you run program 24/7 as we do, you sometimes miss the software update which starts upon running the program and logging in.File management - transfers between local and remote computer is working OK but could get some UI and UX improvements.

De software is voor de klant eenvoudig te starten. Het stelt ons in staat om snel een klant te helpen.Met Always On kunnen we op een moment dat de klant de computer even niet nodig heeft de werkzaamheden uitvoeren. De klant kan laten zien wat het probleem in plaats van in woorden. Dan is het veel sneller duidelijk wat er moet gebeuren.

Cons

Nieuwe klanten zijn nog wel eens terughouden dat wij de computer op afstand kunnen overnemen als of wij naast hen zitten. Vragen zich af of dat wel veilig is.Het blijft altijd een kwestie van vertrouwen, misschien dat de software na het afsluiten van de verbinding een venster met tekst hierover kan tonen.

ISL Light has ably supported our helpdesk function and allowed us to effectively remote support users. This has been especially useful during the pandemic and the increase of remote workers.

Pros

ISL Light is very easy to use and very stable when used in unattended installations.

Cons

The support for mac displays is not as strong and sometimes can fail to display a screen even when security settings are configured. Would also like the ability to change resolutions of remote desktops whilst connected.

It's a like a swiss knife, it's a first thing you grab for any remote work. Hard to image working without it.

Pros

It's easy to use, it's very reliable, plenty of useful features

Cons

Missing option to create sort of VPN between client and support while having ISL session active so support tech can reach any device on client's LAN. Initiating a session with parameters so that client does not have to confirm or allow anything - preset full access, so client only runs the app and nothing more. Proper file manager (like total commander) to work with files between computers.

Trabajo en el SAT de una empresa de informática. Todo el soporte remoto a nuestros clientes se hace con ISL. Tras varios años con otros productos de acceso remoto, encontramos ISL y sinn dida es el que mejor funciona y más funcionalidades nos ofrece. Estamos muy satisfechos con lo que nos ofrece.

Pros

Es fácil de usar y tiene un montón de funcionalidades que van genial para poder dar asistencia remota a nuestros clientes. El acceso desatendido funciona genial. Cumple con los estándares de seguridad más elevados. Tiene funcionalidades que otros programas similares carecen, por ejemplo ver la pantalla del equipo remoto mientras se reinicía, envío de ficheros, ver el uso de recursos, etc... Permite control de usuarios. Genial para helpdesk y todo tipo de soporte informático remoto.

Cons

Todo lo buenos se hace pagar. El coste de las licencias de ISL són algo caras. Hay que pagar por el número de conexiones simultaneas que deseas poder tener,

Pros

I love that you can self host ISL and your license comes with everything without a bunch of addons. The service has been super stable and easy to administrate/update with no real issues.

Cons

The biggest drawback with ISL is that third parties have literally 0 support for it. I work with Apple computers and MDM servers have nothing setup meaning you have to setup everything from scratch. I also have not found much documented about this from ISL.

using ISL for the last 9 months has been great, the software is easy to use, I have my customers all grouped into their own containers, I can access the software on my PC and my Mac Book.

Pros

Speed of remote control. I was using Anydesk but found it to become very slow, when my license was due for renewal I looked around and found ISL and it did everything I required it to.

Cons

nothing. ISL Light performs exactly as I want it to.

Pros

The cost of ownership on this product was the main factor when we first looked at ISL. Ease of use was second biggest factor.

Cons

When installing unattended agent there should be a default option to have it shared as we then have to login and share after for other helpdesk members. Rollout of the software with a password could be easier via GPO or similar.

Reason for choosing ISL Light

ISL ticked all the boxes including cost whereas the other software is either less secure, costs more or didnt have all the features.

Mi experiencia es satisfactoria ya que puedo atender a mas usuarios con problemas debido a que no tengo que desplazarme a sus puestos operativos de manera presencial

Pros

Lo que mas me gusta es la facilidad con la que me conecto al ordenador del usuario que tiene una incidencia de software. Tambien lo sencillo que resulta al usuario dar acceso a su ordenador al tecnico que lo asiste.

Cons

Los problemas para usarlo en entornos macos.

Brilliant, we've been with them for 4-5 years now after switching from Log me in as they put their prices up just as we expanded our team, ISL were great to deal with.

Pros

Its very easy to use, quick to connect to users machines and never seems to freeze or have connection issues, which is vital to our business

Cons

There is nothing to dislike about ISL. They contact us in good time about our renewals, the comms are really friendly and they are just a nice company to do business with

### "Use ISL Remote Desktop to perform Remote Support"

We have been using ISL for around 5 years, and it is the mainstay of our ability to provide remote support to our clients. We have also been able to allow users to access their own computer when working away from their desk using some of the tools provided by ISL, which makes the product a hit with our clients as well.

Pros

The ability to group users together, to easily assign who on our support team can access which computers, and the ease of transferring files from ourselves onto the remote computer. And perhaps the greatest value is that we can set up the various parameters in a command line executable, so we don't need to set them up by hand every time.

Cons

It can sometimes take a few minutes between the user providing access and it appearing as an available remote system on our console

Reason for choosing ISL Light

At the time, Teamviewer was priced based on the number of named users, whereas ISL was priced on the number of simultaneous users, regardless of who they are. This better suits our operation. It also is a more secure product, as the remote software is tied in to our license, whereas with TeamViewer, anyone can log on to the remote computer if they have the password. We are always concerned with the security of these types of products, and we consider this to be a safer approach.
