### "Long time users"

We use it constantly for more than 15 years. What more can I say?

Pros

Main advantage for us is on-prem installation. We have very long sessions with technical support and buying per use was out of question. At the time, when we bought Isl Online (15+ years ago), no other option was available, so decision for own hosting was easy. The only other option at that time was german Net-Viewer, which was much more costly. Since then, we use it constantly. Reliable, easy to use, constantly developed.

Cons

From admin point od view, there was some work and studying needed for on-prem installation. Confproxy (on-prem server software) configuration is quite challenging, options often poorly explained. From user's view, not much, really. We are so used to it, it is hard to pinpoint any imperfections.

Reason for choosing ISL Light

Net Viewer was much more expensive and not reliable (at that time). Team Viewer was not founded yet.

Single solution for supporting many platforms

Pros

Unattended and on demand support have easy start of sessions or setting up access + other features, all for reasonable price. Being able to see or even control mobile devices is a great benefit.

Cons

Connecting to Macs would be nice to get some notice that the customer needs to set their privacy settings instead of black screen and have a button to to retry viewing screen once the customer allows in their privacy settings (currently can stop screen sharing and start sharing again which usually works or start a new session but could be simplier)

Our experience with is PERFECT overall compared to other products we used in past.

Pros

The featrure that is most usefull is access 24/7 and abbility to solve issues before they happen.

Cons

The features that could be improved are use on 3rd party mobile phones that use not google Android and other OS.

When we first starting using it, I was a one man IT support function with a need to support remote users all over the country. After looking at the wide range of product available, provided the functionality I needed at the right price.

Pros

Very easy to install and use. Provides a secure and robust way of accessing remote pc's

Cons

Nothing I can think about - it is a very good system

un producto muy completo para la gestión del parque informatico en el helpdesk (sobre todo en los momentos pico de teletrabajo de la plantilla)la función de iniciar sesión para control remoto en un equipo solo desde la web lo hace muy facil para usuarios finales sin conocimientos informáticos

Una herramienta muy fácil de desplegar y que te olvidas de ella.Instalar, ajustar parametros a tus necesidades y listo.Dispongo de equipos con más de 5 años con la instalación operativa

Cons

Poder ver la información de uso de recursos de un equipo sin necesidad de iniciar un control remoto y "molestar" al usuario

E' un buon prodotto con un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, non mi sembra giri su Linux e su Android ha grosse pecche rispetto ai competitor come Anydesk.

Pros

Permette ogni volta di attivare un canale diverso e quindi un eseguibile diverso che in termini di sicurezza è la soluzione migliore possibile.

Cons

Quando mi collego ad un macchina facente parte di un dominio di AD DC e devo inserire le credenziali administrator di dominio mi viene sempre chiesto l'ok dell'utente mentre nessun problema se mi loggo come Administrator locale e quindi della macchina.

Pros

We can use ISL on any Computer in the world, it's simple and easy to use. it can be pre-deployed or run on a case by case basis.

Cons

Occasional issues with the connectivity to Apple mac's (this is an apple security issue)

Prima product, goede opties en MFA als beveiliging en meerdere lagen van beveiliging. Ook kun je klanten apart aanmaken om sneller en eenvoudiger computers over te nemen en niet te hoeven zoeken. We gebruiker dit al meer dan 10 jaar!

Pros

Met name met windows omgevingen is dit product prima, in een apple omgeving is het soms lastiger te implementeren vanwege allerlei privacy en beveiligings-instellingen. Maar uiteindelijk werkt het goed.

Cons

De omslachtige handelingen bij het instellen voor een Apple gebruiker / computer. Dit komt primair door Apple maar ook ten dele door een gebrek aan een handige wizard of installatiemodule die dit als root/admin kan instellen. Soms hoop ik dat ze dit kunnen toevoegen als functionaliteit zodat een apple-gebruiker met beheer-rechten dus ook gewoon met een paar klikken ISL-Online gewoon makkelijker kan installeren

Reason for choosing ISL Light

Omdat DCC een gevestigde naam is in deze industrie, en wij de mensen al decenia kennen en vertrouwen. En ISL is een goed product. DCC verkoopt goede producten en levert vertrouwen aan ons als MSP'er en onze eindklanten met hun oplossingen. (ook voor bijvoorbeeld een virusscanner)

We selected ISL to replace TeamViewer, as it was becoming too costly to use TeamViewer. We were pleased to have a super-quick onboarding with ISL, with good support and guides to getting things setup and secured approaching

Pros

For our business ISL helps ensure that we have secure and logged access to PC's, servers, and mobile phones of the clients that we support. Able to quickly and easily guide even the most IT challenged individual to downloading the client and enabling a connection is a huge plus.

Cons

Copying and pasting data within the tool isn't perfect, it sometimes pastes backwards when pushed into SQL Management Studio, and sometimes it refuses to copy and paste data between ISL and the local PC

Pros

Connection using the AlwaysOn setup is excellent and very quick to establish a connection to a remote PC.

Cons

On demand client setup could do with some prompts on the administrators end to describe what the user might be seeing. Often a user will start to read out a security warning and ask what to do so would be good to know what these might be as they seem to differ slightly, maybe from browser to browser.Initial setup to connec to a Mac is tricky and seems to involve changing system settings for screen recording. A quick link to help for this would be useful when establising a connection to save time.

Currently, ISL Network Start is notarized, which means that any ISL Online application downloaded through Network Start is trusted by Gatekeeper. If an ISL Online product is downloaded directly (we recommend using Network Start), Gatekeeper will prevent it from running. We recommend users to join the session via the "Join page" to avoid such warnings: https://help.islonline.com/19201/161763#macos-5 To start the ISL Light Client, two permissions must be added to enable a fully functional remote session. You'll be prompted to allow both permissions in your Mac's Security and Privacy settings in the "Accessibility" and "Screen Recording" sections. Pros

We made the change to ISL a year or two ago and have had no issues at all. We have all our customers systems set up for unattended access meaning we can support anyone at anytime from laptops, web browser, or phone app.

Cons

Some parts of the interface are not as clear and logical as they could be but that's nitpicking!

### "ISL Light - Great Product"

Pros

ISL is incredibly easy to use, intuitive and there is virtually no training required other than a quick overview. We use the On Premise version and the updates are incredibly easy to run through and it's all handled by us so we can do them at a time that's convenient to our business, minimising the impact on our global user and customer base.

Cons

The big thing that's missing from ISL is a great record session feature. You can do this in the product currently but the recordings are a proprietary file type and whilst the product does have a relatively easy to use recording viewer, it's a clunky experience to pass recordings to users who don't use ISL to watch and review as they need to download and use the viewer. Using a more widely used and common file format would really improve this experience.

Altijd zeer vriendelijk, goede ondersteuning. Denken mee aan het probleem, en lossen het op.

Pros

Bestands uitwisseling, updates en onderhoud op afstand uitvoeren. Veilig geen poorten openzetten. Al veel klanten en conculega's geadviseerd om ISL te gebruiken.

Cons

Ik ken geen nadelen, werkt zowel op Linux als Windows als MAC OS wij gebruiken dan ook alles door elkaar (incl. mobiele toegang).

Je gère de façon sécurisée tout le parc informatique de l'entreprise très simplement, quels que soient les ordinateurs, depuis partout dans le monde, et même directement depuis mon téléphone en zoomant ! L'outil parfait qui ne m'a jamais fait défaut, à un prix inférieur à ses concurrents : vraiment en tant que professionnel je recommande !

We are offering IT support for customers and maintaining IT segment. is helping us being more effective, both from time and billing aspective.

Pros

Simplicity of use from any computer, speaking as operator who is giving support and connecting to customers infrastructure. 2FA authentication when logging from a new machine, location.

Cons

COPY/PASTE for plaintext strings not working properly. Sometimes yes, sometimes no, no pattern. Always on feature sometimes fails.

Very pleased, will not be moving away any time soon

Pros

Very easy from a admin/technician perspective, easy to invite an end user for support session. Easy for end user to understand how to get the session started. Always reliable and stable. Responsive user experience much better than many other screen sharing / remote support apps. patching the on-premise server is very easy and pretty much automated.

Cons

very little not to like, initial setup was a little tricky for the on-premise version (documentation is very good though)

Pros

La facilité de déploiement a été très importante pendant la phase de test et de comparaison à d'autres solutions. est très réactif, le partage de fichiers est efficace, l'accès sans surveillance très pratique suite aux redémarrages de serveurs par exemple.

Cons

L'option Multisession qui est payante a été un frein, mais très vite souscrite au bout de quelques jours d'utilisation.

Now, the multisession add-on is available at no additional cost for all cloud licenses. This add-on has been activated in your ISL Online account. This means that with each cloud license, you can initiate multiple sessions simultaneously from a single device, using only one license per concurrent user. The number of purchased licenses now determines the maximum number of concurrent users within your organization. A concurrent user is anyone who runs one or multiple sessions at the same time from any single device.
