This amazing software helped my accounting department to safely hide and lock sensitive information with a few clicks. Pros I love the fact that my data is secure if I lose my portable media, From the many times I access the data never fails, making me feel so relieve that I can store and ready data anytime without any concerns. It is very useful application to put all your important documents encrypted. I Like this application and its is very easy to use. Thanks to Folder lock team for making such good application. One suggestion : please give some free of cost space for backup on cloud at list for license user. Personal files are now protected, not only by the standard Windows security system, but really with two more layers. The first is the Folder Lock Stealth Mode. If someone can get into my system, that I am using Folder Lock is not obvious. And once the hot key combination activates the program, they would still need to crack the password for Folder Lock. Cons I was surprised a couple of times by a file I thought to be protected showing up in the Windows Quick Access list. But I think this may have been my initial inexperience with the product. I have intentionally looked for this over the past few weeks and have had no more surprises. Review the price one more time because there are similar products available at less price. 2. I cannot understand why its not possible to add the folders to your safe just in right click and its required to open the safe and then add the new folder. Simply open the program, enter the master password, and the list of locked folders is shown. Double click on the folder you are interested in and it opens in Windows Explorer. Cons It would be nice if Folder Lock was able to prevent folders from showing up in the "recently used" list for Windows Explorer. I did not reload fokder lock because i didnt need it just then A few days ago, i needed to look at an old TurboTax file. Couldn't find it on my computer or on my backup. But I noticed a couple of lockers from FL. But what to do, I didn't have FL anymore. I went to the Capterra website and tried to sign in. They told me I could get my Program and Licence sent to my email so I could reload Folder Lock. I tried and it worked! I was able to open the folders and there was the file I wanted! Pros We had been having issues with users getting into folders that they shouldn't be in. It took some time to finally land on Folder Lock, but it came from one of the other team members as a recommendation. So far it seems to be doing what it's supposed to. Cons It took a bit of time for the team to understand how it works and what it's for. We had some usability issues for some of them, but that seems to have worked itself out. You also have the ability to to transport files to a portable drive. Cons DO NOT LOSE YOUR PASSWORD. You had better find a safe place to keep it because if you lose it yuor files are gone. Overall I think for the low price to keep it forever you can't get a much better value. Pros I liked that I could lock folders in my computer without having to worry about people seeing my personal information when using my computer for work. Cons The "locker" function where you can lock things onto Usb sticks and such, if you forget your password it seems that any information that was in your locker is gone, some of the settings are hard to figure out if you arent good with computers.
