Pros I like that I can save the encrypted file on an external drive and use it across devices. I can even save it in the cloud. Cons I have no criticism of Folder Lock. Pros Ease of setting up either locked disks/partitions and ability to set up encrypted storage areas within folders. Coming form the 'older' folder lock my opinion is that the setup of how FL works was actually easier with the older version. having said that I have now become used to the newwer version although, still I would have preferred the 'older' layout and modus operrandi. Pros A one time payment. free updates and notifications by FL itself of newer versions. Relatuively easy to use. Cons awkward to get files in folder lock itself. Any files used from FL should NOT appear on the recent used list. How and if files are TOTALLY secure should be made clearer. With this product, you can let others use applications on your computer without any fear of them getting into files you protect. Pros Easy to install and use. I don’t use it for the majority of my files, only some very critically sensitive ones. Pros I needed a way to save some client data that would be absolutely inaccessible to outsiders, and was not somewhere in the cloud. Folder Lock does that beautifully. This ensures these documents are not compromised in any way. The Password Wallet is a life saver. As IT I am constantly contacted because employees forget their passwords. Pros I like the USB Protection most, It's really help me to protect my personal data while using USB at office. The second most likely thing is the cloud backup. As a designer, I like the key interface of master password and OK button... :-) Cons there is nothing to dislike but there are some suggestion from my side that is there should be the restriction while entering wallet and encrypt password, they should not be same as master key password. there is one more suggestion that there might be iconic theme instead of drop-down while creating card like (Bank account icon, Business Card, Credit Card, I Card etc) or some kind of eye-catchy. I have used it for several years now and am quite impressed at the ease of use. Pros The ease of use. Simply drag and drop a file or whole folder and voila! So simple. I think the hardest part is to think of very good passcodes that you can remember. Cons When I select a folder to open or lock, it does not highlight anymore under the update I installed. Or, that I learn how to do it myself.:>). Pros The software is simple and intuitive in it's design and use. There are multiple features available, including encryption/decryption of designated drives, unused space overwrites, and accessibility options. Cons The fact that the encrypted folder doesn't allow very large file storage. I have a 10 gig file, but the file structure doesn't allow files that big.
