Pros

The real human monitoring and checking - this is important in our colourful country full of slang, venac, and sense of humor. The ability to see trends.

Cons

I find it difficult to set up my own insights and dashboards - but the team is always son hand to assist.

Overall, it has been a great experience. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] are always super quick to assist with any technical support I may need. Furthermore, the type of insights we are extracting from this platform has enabled us to make strategic and informed decisions within the business, particularly around the COVID times. It has been so easy and effortless hearing from the Absa users and their needs during these critical and unpredictable times.

Pros

I think being able to view the actual mentions has been the most impactful part of the software. It really allows us to extract great insights and has been helpful through my use of the platform. The ability to create a dashboard that focuses on a specific topic is also a great feature. Enables the org to zoom in on specific things and gain a better understanding of those topics on live time.

Cons

I think some times the AI doesn't always accurately get the sentiment. If it sees 'thank you' in a tweet it will put it in positive sentiments, even if the tweet is sarcastically using 'thank you'. I also don't appreciate that the software does not filter out keywords that are not an exact match. If a Twitter uses a "uCapitec" instead of Capitec, then we cannot trace this tweet & analyze engagement. Another thing that could be improved, if for example #AbsaPrem is generating a lot of engagement, and people are replying to that tweet, but not using #AbsaPrem in their response; it becomes hard to 'calculate' how much of the conversation is actually driven by the #AbsaPrem as the filter will not filter out those reply tweets unless they actually match the #AbsaPrem. Hope this makes sense.

One of the added pressures of working on a sporting event is that your sponsors and partners expect a tangible measure of their brand reach through your online conversations. The Cape Town Festival of Running is one such event. While it has been running for 18 years, they have never had an online presence, until 2016. Thanks to Brandseye's unique offering and structured reporting capabilities, I was able to provide accurate insights to my client throughout their marketing campaign, which allowed the extended team to make informed communication and business decisions. In addition, we are now able to provide current event partners with an accurate measure of their brand reach. Through the BrandsEye platform, the data provided played a fundamental role in how we drove the communication strategy, while the overall information assist us in making recommendations for 2017. I have worked with a number of SM monitoring and analytics platforms, and I always return to and recommend Brandseye.

BrandsEye allows us to: - Access to demographics of those engaging with brand & connecting with specific target audience on on-on-one level: reward loyal fans; - Do trend analysis of consumers helping us to tailor ads/create better paid media strategies; - Create ads based on consumer behaviour/behaviour of audience that tends to engage with our profiles. The tool helps us to choose which platforms to switch focus between, instead of marketing everywhere all the time, which can put strain on budgets.

Pros

BrandsEye allows us to: - Access to demographics of those engaging with brand & connecting with specific target audience on on-on-one level: reward loyal fans; - Do trend analysis of consumers helping us to tailor ads/create better paid media strategies; - Create ads based on consumer behaviour/behaviour of audience that tends to engage with our profiles.

Cons

Not all new social platforms are covered, like SnapChat, for example. But we do understand the limitations of API's for certain platforms.

Pros

Ease of use. Not complicated at all. The colours are not harsh on the eye. Things are easy to find. The support team is amazing - always there to assist whatever time of the day it is. Any technical issues (very rare) are resolved very quickly. No manual tagging required as The Crowd takes care of that.

Cons

I would recommend that they consider increasing the size of the white space where we type our responses back to customers.

The client management team is always very available and helpful. Quick turnaround, and also open to learning, growing and so on.

Pros

In this day and age of marketing, we cannot rely on sales information only - we need to understand how our customer felt about the product - and at what point in the purchasing journey. BrandsEye is innovative and very much aware of the full context of the customer experience, so the feedback is always on point and reliable.

Cons

The dashboard was initially quite difficult to work with.

Brandseye customised their dashboard to our demanding and urgent needs tracking upsurges in violence and perceptions of political leadership in crisis countries.

Cons

It was on occasion drinking from a water hydrant. But their analysis and reporting enabled us to get insights we could not have got otherwise.

See above plus South African (ie company from an emerging economy with the insight that this would bring.

It's been invaluable for or Social team and has already proved an excellent tool. Our best use-case to date was monitoring higher volume and increases in negative sentiment on one of our products. We drilled down into the detail and determined the cause and created a report showing the impact. This eventually went up to Senior Management and relevant shareholders to resolve the problems and make better business decisions.

Pros

The ease of use and always available support. The BrandsEye team (thanks Amy!) have always been on standby for queries we've had and have always come forward with great suggestions.

Cons

There really isn't much to not like. I guess from a consolidation point of view we'd like to reply from within BrandsEye - but this may or may not already be happening.

Pros

The software does what it says on the box, its the account management and engagement that is making the difference. I really like the human element of their vetting process...

Cons

In the reporting tool & feedback, there have been a couple of instances where the "insight" hasn't been contextualised and can be misinterpreted and create confusion in the presentation. Nothing major, and more a feedback, than a software issue.

The ORM aspect of the tool is fantastic and if set up correctly, no mention or sentiment, good or bad slips through the cracks. The platform also uses a crowd to validate sentiment which is fantastic. After training the system is fairly straight forward to use. It's easy to export data as well and the dashboard itself gives you great visual graphics of your stats. It's also very easy to export and adjust the criteria required when monitoring your brand. Perfect for presentations. The team are always on hand for support and are incredibly courteous.

The sheer quantity of data allows me to conduct thorough analyses of my projects/campaigns, and offer my clients valuable insights. As there are so many functionalities, it sometimes gets a bit overwhelming but Brandseye's customer service is excellent. They're always around to help (pro-actively or on request) and service is prompt and cheerful.

Pros - The best social media monitoring tool I have come across. Easy to use and navigate around the dashboard. Cons- Author tab back track can only give you a certain amount of data and not the full analysis.
