### "Best home inspection software I have found to date"

\-I would rate HomeHubZone as one of the most responsive and comprehensive software programs I have experienced -- both personally and by viewing other reports from other companies. -I am exceptionally grateful for their customer service desk which is exceptionally responsive and dependable. -I really like the layout of the report as compared to many of their competitors. It is easy to read with the condition summary up front, then followed by a summary, and then all the details of the report with many, many pictures. It is simple and does not overwhelm the customers. I get many compliments on the report -- especially from realtors. -Value added services (model/serial numbers, recall check, downloadable manuals, concierge services) all make this product very popular -The more you can do to reduce time on site and time to finalize the report, the more I will love it!!!

Pros

\-Easy to use with a logical flow -I can do the entire inspection on my android phone and then finish up on my PC without having to manually transfer any files/data -Completing the report on my PC is easier than most software packages I have tried -Less time consuming to do an inspection and complete the report than most other systems -Much more cost effective than other programs -- especially with the associated services (Recall/Concierge) -The added Recall Check, downloadable manuals, and concierge service are real pluses with my customers -- value added benefit - Like the feature of being able to export media/photos to my phone gallery so I can quickly review photos with my customers as we are walking the property -Fantastic customer service -- always responsive even during off hours or on weekends/holidays

Cons

\-Still too time consuming to do inspections and reports -- average time is still about 6 hours per inspection/report -Biggest time consumer during inspections is having to manually type in model numbers and serial numbers -- would be great if I could scan the bar codes and the software would automatically insert the information into the report. I am sure this is why most inspection reports by my competitors do not include model and serial numbers -Biggest time consumer during finishing up the report is looking up date of appliances/major systems. The software identifies the age of very few of the systems/equipment I inspect -- I have to manually look up these in "Appliance411" and then transcribe to my report. I would be great if this software would interface directly. -When reviewing/finalizing the inspection report, I can edit the concerns within the report; however, I cannot modify or edit the photos -- I have to leave the report, go back into the software, make changes and then reload the report to finish reviewing/finalizing the report. This is very time consuming. It is the same for trying to make changes to the Condition Summary -- can't be done within the report -- again have to exit and make changes in software.

### "Been using HHZ for 2 years"

Pros

I like that I can run it simultaneously on a tablet, my phone, and a laptop, and it will all sync up automatically. I like that the software gives me a boilerplate framework to work with - but then I can easily manipulate that framework on-site to fit my needs at the moment. I especially like the ability to carry out my inspection room by room - but then I can report out by system.

Cons

The integration with MLS does not really work - that is, when I add an inspection to HHZ it will look up the address of the property and supposedly fill in the details - the number of rooms etc... but that never happens, and I have to populate it myself - not a huge deal, but mildly annoying. Also, I inspect a number of properties with in-law units, and there is not a smooth way to get the inspection for both buildings into the same report. I can do it, usually by calling the unit a detached garage, and then changing the name - but the fit isn't perfect.

### "HHZ Review "

The only business problem I am solving with HHZ is avoiding the high annual cost of other software. Although converting to a new report writer would be labor intensive, it is becoming apparent that HHZ is not able to sustain the ambitious goals they projected a couple of years ago. They have clearly lost their development momentum and since announcing the merger with HomeGauge, they have have all but dissappeared from the pool of growth-oriented inspection software companies.

Pros

The fact that it is free is very appealing. It usually performs well both a phone or a tablet. When in a jam, support usually responds via email pretty quickly.

Cons

There are serveral frustrations I have had with this software. The more major issues are: 1. The biggest issue we have with the software is the lack of ability to format a report, specifically page breaks. A professional looking report is vital to conveying a professional company image, and when the text for a concern is at the end of one page and its associated picture stands alone on the following page, it does not portray professionalism and attention to detail. 2. The development of the software is stagnant. We rarely receive updates on development status. Any communications we have received never commit to time the updates will be available. Straightforward communications and transparency is vital to building a mutually beneficial relationship between vendor and customer. 3. The software is developed with very limited "open-ness" that gives the customer the ability to customize to its individual business processes. For example, a user cannot upload/download or import/export concerns. This makes it very difficult to build a list of concerns with our own personal descriptions, solutions, etc. Another example is very imited integration with other applications such as ISN. I understand that HHZ is a report writer and they may not want to be in the integration business, but if that is the path they choose, then at least they should provide the ability to import/export data, copy data & reports, provide multiple/additional report formats (MS Word, RTF).

### "A couple ideas for improvements"

Pros

Mostly seamless transition between devices since this is cloud based. I also like the concept of inspecting by room but reporting by system

Cons

One of the things that sold me on HHZ is "fewer" clicks to write the report. One of the things that ALWAYS adds clicks (other software has already built this in) is adding infographics to the comments. If the infographics could be saved with the comments they need to be attached to, that would save me a lot of time as I easily put in at least 5-10 per inspection. Sometimes more. While this isn't needed, an option for Indoor Air Quality or Water Quality would be a nice category as once in a while odors are present and I have to select other and rename it to put in some write ups.

### "Cutting edge inspection"

My inspectors have saved time on the inspection, report onsite and are overall happier with the reporting experience! Real Estate agents love the new report style because of how easy it is to navigate and understand.

Pros

This software is easy to use and cut reporting time down. Reporting on-site is easy! The style and format of the report is easy for the client, agent and everyone involved to read.

Cons

Everything you need if you are 1 inspector however if you have multiple inspectors there is not as many administrative controls as you would think.

Pros

Pioneer in the industry. This software was the first to bring the modern streamlined home inspection reporting software to everyone. They changed the game with new features, a new layout, beautiful reports... and then it turned in CONS

Cons

They promised a 2 year free trial that ended up costing me a lot before the end of 1.5 years. They tried to charge me for other pricing methods in between. It's so complicated to explain how they faking people off. They started selling data to warranty and sales companies. They stopped updating the software after the first year. The technical support went to pot. OK, so basically it was a horrible experience that just kept getting worse.

We should never have charged anyone before their free trial was up and would be happy to provide a refund if that is true. You can contact us at info@homehubzone.com. We did have a partnership with a company in the industry that sells warranties, but never sold warranties to any homebuyer. However, that partnership has been altered and the software is once again free for people who passed the master class and a low price of $9.99/month for people who haven't passed and their free trial has expired. We also want to clarify our policies on using the inspection data. We do not sell the data to anyone, but do provide value to the homebuyer in the form of information and offers to help them during their move. Examples of this are a moving checklist, a buyer's repair list and discounts.

Customer service does not help solve the issues we have using the software. We have invested alot of time and work into the software but would be willing to change due to lack of support on our on going issues.

Pros

Pricing is reasonable. Software has a nice layout and makes it understandable for the client.

Cons

Too many errors, software has alot of glitches making it very hard to complete reports.

The software is very flexible and easily learned without lengthy training. I was able to pick it up at no cost spend a few hours with provided training and use it the same week during a live inspection. When I did find issues I was able to contact them and get the answers I needed quickly. I really like the flexibility of the software both online and on the app.

The software is very easy to navigate and easy to learn

Cons

The stock concerns are limited. And concerns are not easily moved between items.

Amazing tech support! I've been with hubzone from the start and it's been a rough road especially the 1st year but dispite the issues and bugs the tech support has been unbeatable. I'm so greatful for Toby and the support staff at homehubzone! Today the bugs are virtual gone and it's been very smooth sailing.

Pros

The final report looks great, ease of adding video, works great for writing as you go room by room.

Cons

Not easy to use if writing the report after or editing after the inspection is completed. Web version lacks some of the features of the mobile app. I know improvements are coming so as a guy who reports at the end of my inspection I'm anxiously waiting.

Pros

It is designed for the end user. It looks good. It flows good.

Cons

It needs more adaptability. I want more ability to modify it to how I want the report to look and what it will include (ie easier to use photos as observations and not only concerns).

Having multiple inspectors, HomeHubZone has made it easy for report consistency, reviewing of reports, and posting the reports for the client.

Pros

What is nice about HomeHubZone is the ease of use. Whether you are using your phone, your tablet, or reviewing the report on the PC, it is easy to navigate. The app allows for easy searching of your concern library using key words. You can archive photos taken during the inspection in a way that they do not appear in the report.

Cons

At times, the PC version will lock up when you are attempting to edit a concern. It does open up after about a minute, so it is more of a time issue.

Pros

I love that I can customize the order of my inspection, ON SITE! I can go by system or room. I can easily add or delete rooms or systems on site as well. Their customer service is second to NONE!

I have had a few bugs with syncing my inspections, but they are getting worked out.

It has felt like I have been seeking the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow looking for a home inspection reporting software system that is easy to use and produces a great report. HomeHubZone is that pot of gold. I am a tough critic and have tried the majority of the commercial software on the market over the past 17 years. The HomeHubZone tablet and web-based software is the only one that has allowed me to be done with the report about four times faster than other platforms, allowing me to perform more inspections and grow my business without killing my personal time. It will only get faster as I build out the library to suit my geographic region and personal preferences. The automatic synchronization across devices and platforms allows for a simple, hassle free user experience, allowing me to focus on the inspection and report, rather than technical issues.

### "The Program that Skyrocketed My Business"

As a home inspector, I need something that works well in the office and out in the field, which is how I use this program. Home Hub Zone has saved me hours of time with it's streamlined reporting software that is constantly syncing. One of the things my clients love is that I can go through all of the issues I find easily at the end of an inspection and show them photos right on my phone. It's a great way to recap and end the appointment.

Pros

The price is what initially attracted me to this product as I was just starting out doing home inspections. It's still the main reason I keep the software today: It's hands down the best low-cost option out there for home inspectors. I also love the ease of use. I have my reports set up in a template form, which didn't take that long to do. Every time I'm ready to do an inspection, I simply plug in the information and get started. It's so easy to use both on the computer and on my smartphone, which seamlessly sync via cloud. I have gotten so many compliments from my clients about how great the inspection report looks when I send it as well. The reports are beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing.

Cons

The only thing I wish I could change about this basic version of the software is I wish I were able to have a variety of templates I could choose from. I occasionally do commercial inspections, which tend to be a lot different than residential. I would love to be able to have a pre-set inspection for those. Currently I just get around this by changing a lot of the descriptions and items to reflect a commercial property.

I chose HomeHubZone because the pricing fit my budget and it was a beautiful design.

I still think it is the best software out there at the best price. I haven't seen any updates in a while though, I would love to see the software updated more frequently. Also I would love to see the software evolve to be able to do more than just residential homes as I do a lot of commercial, mold and wood destroying insect inspections and it would be nice to have one platform for everything.

Pros

I love the pricing model. I also love the way the software is setup in the room by room system, the way this shows on the report is awesome. I also like how the appliances and mechanicals pull the date from the serial numbers automatically.

Cons

The only time consuming thing is going through and checking every single item in every single category in every single room, the larger the property the more time consuming this is. Maybe there can be a "check all" button for each room or something that can be integrated into the software. I would love to see a way to automatically caption a picture to a room, say for example if I have the same defect in multiple rooms the pictures show under the defect and then I have to caption them as "Living room" or "Bathroom" so the client knows which room the picture references. Here lately the problems that I have been experiencing have been problems with syncing the report to the server, even after completing the steps to resync, I have had to complete the steps multiple times to finally get everything to sync over. The other thing I have had happen twice is the recallchek information does not get sent over, and I don't know that RWS does not get the information until multiple reports ave not been sent over and then I start getting a bunch of recallchek emails all at once. Also if there is a way to disable the internal recallchek system and just have the info sent to RWS's system that would be great. The appliances/mechanicals do not always find the date information and therefore I have to spend extra time looking up the dates. If there was a way we could take a picture and have the software pull the serials from it would be awesome and a huge time saver.

### "Good looks with a bag of issues"

I have been using it for about 6 months to produce all of my reports. If I have one report per day - I can deal with the issues that I'm not happy about the way program is designed. But when I have 2-3 reports to finish in one evening - this program is not helping - editing takes way to long! Overall experience is positive, but not overly optimistic about the use of this program in the future.

Pros

Final report looks clean, easy to navigate, contemporary design. Program is simple enough to start cranking out decent reports without spending much time setting it up; library of concerns, recommendations and disclaimers is broad and sufficient for small and not too complicated houses.

Cons

Editing! Photo editing NOT available! There is no option for changing concern once it has been assigned to a photo; it can be modified, but not changed to a different one readily available in the library. For instance, if I marked a photo as "No deficiencies noted" and later changed my mind and wanted to use a different pre-set concern, I can't detach the initial comment and attach a new one. NO, I need to delete the picture with comment, then find it in my photo folder and insert into HHZ, and only then attach new concern.

Overall I feel like this is a great app and the software is great too. I have been more than impressed with the customer service I've received if I ever report an issue. It's a great value for the price.

Pros

I like that I can keep my overhead costs low by using this software. I like that it works seamlessly between my smart phone and computer. I also like that I can add links to sites with more information. I also like the feature that allows me to flip through the issues right on my smart phone to show my client everything I noted without missing anything.

Cons

Sometimes the app feels clunky and difficult to navigate when I need to switch to a different room or a different system. I don't like that there's not a spot to add general room photos on the report. I also don't care for how the report is laid out, and I would like to see more options on organizing the information.
