With a single click you can start building your eCommerce or other kinds of website. It has exciting features of adding embedded YouTube videos , Vimeo videos, Facebook comments, SoundCloud tracks, embedded Facebook, Instagram and Twitter page news feeds to your website. Its countdown timer feature is awesome especially for internet marketers who wants to propel their prospects to buy their stuffs right away, not forgetting the contact-us form feature which you can add to your website to generate leads. My overall experience with Mobirise website builder is excellent. Pros Mobirise website builder has eye catchy templates, it is mobile responsive, any website built through this software can be optimized for search engines through its SEO section. This software made it possible for its users to build fast loading websites through its AMP feature (Accelerated Mobile Page). For an Android app developer, mobilerise made it possible for me to design html5 fancy templates using its rich features of bootstrap which makes the templates to adjust well on all mobile devices then I finally compile the HTML files generated by mobirise into .apk file using an external software. I love its icons, countdown timer and the most interesting part of this software is, you can host your website on mobirise subdomain or point your custom domain to their server which saves you extra money of purchasing a web hosting. Cons If by any reason you change your computer, retrieving your raw mobirise website projects on a new computer using your mobirise registered account is not possible. Seems like they don't backup raw website projects of their users on their server. Free versions of mobirise has embed footer link that can't be removed unless you have a basic knowledge of JavaScript to remove the link if you remove the link, your website will crash right away so purchasing the paid version is a must for a total freedom of the software and if you host your website on their server be ready to see a pop-up of their brand name with an embedded link. It is by far the simplest web site design tool I have ever used. It allows the creation of a simple website in a matter of a couple of hours and it's drag & drop user interface enables you to focus on more on your content without having to worry about the details of the code. I would recommend Mobirise to anyone who does not have a strong understanding of HTML/CSS and wishes to create a web presence quickly. Pros The drag & drop interface makes building pages a breeze. The customisable templates and components when combined allow an almost infinite number of pages to be constructed. Cons The code editing is not always as good as it could be, but this only impacts use if a user is wishing to edit the HTML/CSS directly. The stylesheet management could be better. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Designer Design Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "A free alternative to online website builders" January 31, 2021 3.0 I was looking for an affordable (or free) entry-level website builder that I could recommend to friends and clients if they wanted to have a go at building their own site (without getting locked into a hosted solution like Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, etc.) I built a website with Mobirise to see what was possible. While it was certainly quick to throw something together, when I wanted to override the CSS, things became a little frustrating. So I would recommend Mobirise to novices, but not to other designers and developers. Pros Mobirise makes building a website super easy—you drag-and-drop pre-made components into your page, and voila. In that sense, it's a lot like any number of online website builders (Wix, Weebly, etc), but unlike those, you're free to host your site anywhere. The basic app is free, and really gives you all you need. It's about as WYSIWYG as you can get—editing text is like editing the live site in a web browser. The UI is very simple and minimalistic, but it works. It's also responsive, allowing you to display your page in desktop or mobile view with a single click. Cons If you're a designer, or anyone who likes to have full control over the look of your design, Mobirise probably isn't for you. Customisation of themes is very limited. You can turn elements off and on, change alignment of text, and other basic options like that. (In some ways this is both the app's greatest strength and weakness.) You need to be careful to look over every element before publishing your site—pre-made components contain alt tags and links to Mobirise, some of which are all too easy to overlook. Searching the exported code for ‘mobirise’ is worth the effort! The app includes a built-in FTP client, but in my testing it was pretty broken. (Your mileage may vary.) I use it to do a quick mockup of a client's site and it works well for that as well as simple websites. Pros It was easy to use, just drag & drop blocks & add content. I like that you can build your site on your computer and not need hosting or a domain to get started Cons Some of the blocks were limiting. if you went over the character count, it made a mess of the template. Others were not as flexible as I would have liked- couldn't get the blocks to fit into the layout as I wanted it to. You can build an entire website with just a few drag & drops. It has multiple pre-built templates and the structure make them a one-of-a-kind platform. You can upgrade and buy plugins to improve your designs. You can save your own modules so it helps a lot to work faster. At the end you decide if you want to export as HTML or to publish and see a preview. Cons Sometimes it closes. You can't include your own icons. I am pretty sure that with a litlle of coding capabilities you would be able to do more, but for a former aint-got-time-to-code coder, it works perfectly fine. Pros It works like an IDE but allows you to focus on the upper level of program coding (UX and features), rather than handling raw code. Cons The things you need to pay are basically themes. Pros Mobirise works on 'blocks' i.e. a block is a layout template for some pictures and associated text. There are a huge range of blocks each one suggesting a picture size and text size/font layout, with functions such as galleries, 'click to enlarge', video clip inserts, a simple PayPal shop system, Google maps, plus most of the functions you need. You can adjust the picture size and amount of text as required. You can save your modified blocks and move them around. Cons The only downside is that the blocks are not 100% adjustable but this is not too much of a problem bearing in mind the advantages and ease of use listed above. Pros This is a drag-and-drop website builder that sits on your desktop, so you have to know how to upload the website to hosting. But the rest is easy - the templates look fantastic, and it's simple to create a great looking website in minutes. Cons The free version allows you to do most things but if you want to edit HTML or CSS you will need the paid plugin, which I strongly recommend. Mobirise is well-maintained but occasionally there are software releases that accidentially break things, so you have to check on the forum whether it's a reliable release. It isn't really designed for blogs - so if you're a regular blogger you might want to look elsewhere. Mobirise doesn't have the functionality of, say, Wordpress, but nevertheless it's pretty good and you be can up and running with a great looking site in minutes. No coding required, almost no design skills required, as the templates are already looking good. Pros Mobirise is one of the best drag & drop website creators - and I know what I'm saying, because I spent hours on Product Hunt creating a collection of all drag & drop website creator tools I could find there. And trust me, there are quite a lot. 90% of Mobirise features are free, which means you will be able to create the website you want for free (they don't even include a watermark!). Also, they run a lot of promo discounts so you'll be able to get everything cheaply, if you really need more features. It's really easy to use yet fairly customizable, so you will be able to create the website you want easily. The sites created on it look amazing. They have small but brilliant features, like integrated image searching. And they also include support for AMP websites - that's the icing on the cake. So, for creating small static websites and landing pages, it's my go-to software. January 7, 2020 4.0 Very intuitive and ease to use, fast to update the projects and with a build in ftp software mades an excelent choice for any small project. Pros It was a love at first sight! As soon as I've noticed about Mobirise I've donwloaded and start to use it at once! It's very easy to use, it has a lot of functionalities that every webmaster needs as an ftp software embeded, many temaplates to choose and a very good resource in the code editor module. If you have enought it worth the bucks expended on it! Cons It's an expensive software and the most important is the way it puts code on the header of page, slowing till death the page loading what will made crazy any concerned webmaster in order to keep page fast as demanded by google, among others.
