I think we could work on some improvements for the cost associated, but overall I like it for what we're using it for. Pros I like the ease of use related to the Apps that are available and setting the expirations and lengths for posting our content. Cons My boss wanted to have our 5 core competencies to rotate each week, but there's no way to automate it (on my end without help) and make it stick. I opened a ticket for it, but I didn't get a true fix. So I just have to set an alarm and remember to go change all of the dates regularly, which is not fun. The monitors sometimes go offline or the slides "stick" and "lag". I want to use a certain layout, but the one that scrolls across the bottom doesn't work well with the content (ESPN) that we wanted to use, so a lot of times it's an empty section or it's stuck on the screen and we have to clear it out. We also have to send refreshes to the device alot. There for a while, it was turning off by itself, too. I have been using the applications for 6 years now and I have had a great experience. It has given me a few good easy wins when it comes to meeting business needs. Pros ScreenCloud was extremely easy to set up. I had digital signage up and managed within 30 minutes. ScreenCloud is compatible with a good range of equipment and based on my experience, pretty reliable. Cons There are some slight downfalls. One is that I wish we had a little more freedom when it comes to content. I wish we could play content from a website but I also understand that that scenario starts to lean into a different service/vertical like conference room tech. The other thing that I noticed is that some of the supported devices can be less reliable. The drag-and-drop content option makes it easy for everyone to use. Even non-techy users can quickly learn how to upload and schedule content. Also, the cloud-based management and access. You can remotely access and manage from anywhere. You can update on the fly and make real time changes to content across multiple screens. Also, great for businesses with multiple locations and/or remote teams. Cons I would like there somehow to be more analytics associated with this type of platform but not sure if this is possible. Relies heavily on internet connectivity. If your network/internet goes down, the screens might not update or display content as intended. Costs can add up per screen but if using 1-2 screen fairly affordable for marketing and communications. The team was super helpful during implementation but havent heard anything from them since or evolved our use beyond where it was when we initially rolled it out. Pros It was easy to set up. I like being able to ee what is playing and where. I like that content can be scheduled with a start and stop time so I don't have to remember to add/delete it. I'm sure there are more features available that I don't use. Cons Canvas is not intuitive and does not have enough default colors or fonts. Fonts should scale with the text box instead of manually changing the font size number. I would like to have a brand feature for company fonts and colors. It's not enough for me to rate it 4 stars, but might have selected 4.5 if it was an option. Pros ScreenCloud makes my business's digital signage management very easy! There's tons of apps and customizability, and the UI is very easy to move around in. Stability is super important and we haven't had any issues since updating devices. We can easily update content or use apps to have dynamic displays. We use the API to change the screen if we have an event coming up, all automatically. Cons The only downside is the license cost. It's a bit higher than other competitors with similar or slightly trimmed back features. I also wish they had a mobile friendly site so I can more easily manage a screen on the go (forgot to update it or something after leaving work). Sometimes, temporary displays don't revert back to the original content after the time is up. I work with a lot of different tools and platforms and ScreenCloud is one of the few that I've never had issues or headaches with. It's easy to use and so effective. Pros It's super user-friendly and makes managing multiple screens and playlist easy to manage. I especially appreciate the ability to set availability dates so I don't have to constantly check if I have content that past the event date. September 24, 2025 5.0 With regards to CMS solutions, I'm agnostic and would look to recommend the CMS that best meets the users needs. Surprisingly ScreenCloud cover a lot of what a typical Digital Signage user needs, so its always in the top three. Pros This software is very powerful, yet manages to retain a very intuitive user interface. The Channels are like TV Channels, were you can add content to meet the focus of the Channel, and the easy of deployment is brilliant. It is effective in sharing messages and reminders to parents in our lobby. It is an accessible way to reach a wide spread of people. Pros I like how easy it is to upload your own canvases and connect to your device. Its compatibility is great with uploads from different platforms. The timer features for setting specific post dates and times is very effective. Cons For us, it disconnects by itself from time to time from the server to device.
