Comments: The hardest part of this project was getting our entity's management on-board and getting one of the wireless device companies to make the required changes. The transition from beginning to end was relatively painless. As with any project where change will occur, there will be hiccups. Most of the hiccups were on our end due to not really understanding the setup. Wireless Watchdogs walked us through the implementation process as well as training us on the use of their website. Their website is really easy to use and very intuitive. We went from having a multitude of wireless device accounts to only three. Through this process we were able to make changes to our wireless device accounts to make it more secure (i.e., we had employees that had left our entity years ago but were still authorized to make changes to our wireless account).

We got quite a few benefits. We were able to implement structure and clarity into our wireless device program. Before WW, we did not know the number of devices (or type), usage or how much each plan was costing. We also did not have a clear path on what plan/devices staff should be ordering as well as who could place orders. All this added confusion, frustration and extra work for staff. There were intentional and unintentional wireless device abuses. Since we have gone live with WW, we have been able to cancel some accounts due to not being used, departments know who has what wireless device, how those devices are being used and we are able to pay our wireless device bill in less time (by using WW reconciliation report). Also, department staff can get the device/plan they need in a shorter amount of time. It is nice to know that we have a company that is experience int he wireless device industry that is looking out for our interest.

I would definitely recommend Wireless Watchdogs to entities looking to add structure and clarity to their wireless device program.
