I love the email notification feature which helps me to follow up the tasks/bugs without verifying indivually. When compared to other management tools like Jira and Quality centre I see ease of use in Target process and definetely Iwould recommend to my friends and colleuages. Cons When you want to make a quick creation of a sprint, you d'ont have a rapid + button on a exsiting sprint like + button for features, epics or user story. February 16, 2017 4.0 We have used both Scrum and Kanban and Targetprocess has been able to support both. There is a TON of functionality, some of it more useful than others. I'd like to see some other functionality included. The 'voting' system for new functionality is very agile, but I'm not sure it's super effective. The reporting options are very handy and people/team management is great too. Pros I like the prioritization features, although I don't understand/wish it was available in more areas. Continuously being updated, good release notes and fast support. Bad: The reported bugs on the other hand take ages to be address and fixed (haven't seen any outcome so far), mobile app not very useful nor bug free and the custom process setup for a project is very unintuitive. Ugly: The newly (couple of months back) project/team selector is a bad idea - liked the previous one way better (possibility to use same views with different project/teams and bookmark it). It's flexible, easy to understand, and helps us visualize workflows to absorb a lot of information quickly. Pros After years using JIRA my team and I felt like we needed something different to help us manage our projects and clients easier. TargetProcess was one of the options we demoed and it just stuck. The UI is much more, well, visual than other platforms and we found it very easy to add, move, and keep tasks/stories/bugs visible to the people who needed to see them. It's very flexible and we didn't take long to find our way around it. We especially liked the risk management module that compares your original plan to what's actually happening and alerts you if something is amiss. The reports are also very easy to understand and look professional enough to share with clients. We also found the Live Chat to be extremely helpful and a definite point in its favor. The support team is quick to respond and efficient to resolve problems. Cons While the UI is flexible and easy to understand, the aesthetic could use some tweaking. Very subjective, of course, but allowing a basic color change for each project, for example, would liven things up a bit. Other than that, had some problems running it on Microsoft Edge but it works well on Chrome. It has been good on some different scales of projects depending if I was look at many projects for one company or accross teams in many. I found it much more flexible to use than jira which has agile Kanban and scrum tacked on. This is lets you make as many different views of same base stories. Not just saved filters on the same layouts. This can lead to you adding too many screens if not thinking but this can be hidden or deleted without loosing your data. The company team also keep up a good pace of development and have seen many features and updates come through. Pros Adding any views that you can set to get the right view or dashboard of task, sprint, release, story, epic etc. Cons If you don't set up good base views then you can hide some of your data. Pros With TargetProcess Bastane is used the Kanban type blackboard which helps a lot to help in the visualization of the work since it helps us to organize and know what tasks we have pending, highlighting the time limits that we place to each task and thus not lose more time of the need, focus on what is important by prioritizing each activity and prioritize in batches, all this in a simple but well-worked application that allows us to organize work and enhance our effectiveness in working hours, is very good and deserves to be tested. Cons The graphics generation engine should be further enhanced, adding more types of graphics that can be improved if more or less accuracy is desired, this would help a lot in various aspects of the planning. Members of a team can work on their tasks from anywhere and check on the rest. Let's you manage a portfolio which is great. It also gives you the option of time + expense tracking which I have found really useful when you are outsourcing. Cons The amount of features is overwhelming (that could be a Pro, I know... but). I've used it both for short-term (3 months) projects and for managing ongoing projects. Targetprocess is very actively maintained and the team listens to customer feedback. The software allows for a lot of flexibility and has umptious ways to visualise your workflow and the state of your project. Targetprocess runs also smoothly (I'm using the cloud-hosted version). Cons Little inconveniences that, when sum up takes a certain amount of time: - Lack of out of the box views (simple Project->Epic->Feature->UserStory, like in TFS or Jira) - Views management (would like the ability to copy/clone a view to a specific folder) - Better custom fields management (ability to group custom fields) - Different languages for views, reports and measures. ScrumMaster Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Really great tool for Scrum Projects and customer support +++" February 16, 2017 5.0 We work with Target Process for almost 1.5 year and are very satisfied. We mainly work on a big project with two Scrum team of 8~9 people in each. The Product Owner can manage their backlog, the developers follow their work and the ScrumMaster play with reporting, burdown, etc. The tool is fast, once understanding, it is very easy to use (there is a lot of "shortcut"). Some functionnality are missing but the project is updated quite ofen. I really encourage you to have a look on it but not a too simple "test", the tool need some days to be well understanded. There is plenty of documentation and the customer service is ver very reactive. Pros Powerfull, the backlog management, easy to customize. Cons Rights system (to simple), not possible to easily retreive something deleted.
