It's fantastic but it takes time for people to get the hang of it. It's a great tool and I haven't seen anything that compares. Pros Highly customizible with a solid, flexible API so we can integrate our own reporting and management systems into it. Cons Not much. It's object design underneath make all sense from an engineer's perspective. Love all the capabilities to customize my workflow and boards, color code it with extentions etc. Support is really great! It wins JIRA and TRELLO in my opinion. The web app works great and I rarely have any issues with it. I love the mobile app and the ability to get alerts on it. The mobile app is great for looking at the status of things while away from my desk and in a meeting. I can also easily enter a story or task in to fill more details out later as soon as I get the idea. Pros Great flexable app that can be customized to your organizational needs. Cons Sometimes it can be slow to respond and when things get upgraded other features sometimes stop working the way I expect. It’s collaboartive and customizable to help with customer service requirements. The user interface is very intuitive and consisistently upgraded to better enhance user experience. Cons It can be difficult to learn for new users and does have bugs/glitches from time to time. The support team is helpful and does try to correct any issues. One of the things I've consistently run across is that Target Process has too many features exposed to every day users. I need more customization for card layouts (after double clicking) because people get bogged down in details that don't matter to them. From a manager perspective target process really embodies that a team gets out what it puts into it. Pros Good customization. Easy to visualize workflows. Simple drag and drop functionality for attachments. Makes it easy to see a lot of information quickly. Cons Can't turn off all the features I don't want to use. The text editor on cards is straight up sub par. Response times for cards isn't as quick as some competitors, I think it is fast enough but my team does not (and ultimately this software is as much about helping my team as it is about helping me) Review Source RV Rick V. It was great for tracking how far ahead/behind each team was to meeting their sprint goals. A ton of integration to be able to display various forms of charts. Cons This software took a little more training for most users than other products in this category. There are a few features a little more complex for basic users when first getting involved. TargetProcess is one of the simplest for my team to use. Need my team to spend time coding, not using project management software. This was the best solution we found. Cons Does not have reporting that easily allows viewing what each team member did each day, i.e. breakdown of user stories, tasks, etc. per day with hours. It is easy to quickly get started, flexible enough to change as you go, and intuitive enough for users to quickly navigate the interface. Pros I can develop customized processes myself and do not need a developer. The user interface is modern and easy to navigate. The "entity" model makes customization and linking easy. Customer Support is really good - from the initial contact over chat to updates while development is happening to delivering the resolution. A vendor that gives you a timeline to fix something and then delivers without me having to be the QA department. Awesome support videos and how-to articles on their help pages. You would find videos and tutorials to demonstrate the use of the application. It is a very affordable project management system. You would find application getting upgraded in the sense of features. The tickets system helps you stay updated with the tasks. You can customize the application based on your requirements. The graphical user interface is, in fact, easy to use, and they provide Gantt charts, timesheets, and third-party integrations. Cons The application is too flexible, this might create confusion for some users. The entities present in the application are quite difficult to grasp and understand. It has structured all of our work. In my company there are approximately 40 users who permanently work with it. Pros how configurable it is so that each team can set up things how they want it to be setup and for what works best for their team. Cons it is hard for people to understand the product when they first start using it. Also the queries are confusing for people who don't want to take the time to understand how they can use it. After using it for few days, it became obvious to me that the tool needed to be changed, because it lacked essential functionality for running and tracking a great development process. After analysing quite a few tools on the market (Wrike, Teamwork, Assembla etc.) my choice landed on Targetprocess, and i have convinced the company to switch. For me as a PM, the tool had everything that i wished for and the learning curve for me was not soo steep, but for devs and other departments of the company it took quite some time to get familiar and understand the benefits. Therefore, my advise would be to simplify the UI/UX to decrease learning curve, which, i assume, would drive more revenue. Pros Great set of functionality Cons Learning Curve Review Source Colin N. Development Manager Information Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Incredibly flexible and customisable" September 24, 2015 5.0 We switched to Target Process after a lot of research and then a trial of 3 different tools. We were primarily looking to move to a hosted solution but wanted to ensure that whatever we moved to could fit with how we worked rather than make us work around the tool. Target Process was by far the best and I have to say that it feels like a tool designed to favour flexibility and customisation rather than trying to oversimplify everything and make assumptions about how you work. The cross project capabilities were really the clincher for us as we have a large number of interdependent projects and most tools don’t handle this very well at all. We have also found the API's very easy to use allowing us to integrate it into our other systems with very little effort. CTO Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Function rich business critical software" June 23, 2016 5.0 TargetProcess has a steep learning curve, you have to dive decisively into the product and invest in both learning and practicing; not because the UI is difficult, but because it has a ton of functionality and you need to be somewhat familiar with SW development lingo, e.g. SCRUM and Kanban. Pros It is a safe place for all my requirements, stored in a useful structured way. It helps me manage all my development activities and has a ton of functionality, after 2 years we are still not able to take advantage of all the functionality. Cons Can you say that it has too much functionality? I don't think so, so I leave this field empty.
