### "Target Process: A Continuous Process to Improve Process"

February 16, 2017

4.0

Overall, I love Target Process. We made the switch from Youtrack about 6 months ago. I wasn't a fan of the restrictions TP has when it comes to filtering and making queries for lists. I also didn't understand how the search function could not seem to pull up a correct result, even if one typed in the EXACT title of the entity. But even with those ailments, The amount of depth and structure TP provides was far superior to Youtrack, and ultimately works better for our development team. I'd also like to applaud how reliable the customer support is. I rarely have to wait more than a minute to have someone to chat with. On top of that, the continuous growth of the program is reassuring. Thank you guys for being great!

Pros

The customer experience is top-notch, and they will work with you to make the software work for your company.

Cons

The search function is a dumpster fire.

### "Flexibility nearly at its best"

September 17, 2018

4.0

We use it for organizing most of our work in the company. First in software development only (SCRUM)) and now nealrly everywhere. So it is transparent for everyone, what you do and what the others do.

Pros

It is very flexible and fits most of the cases we need.

Cons

The flexibility makes it complex in some cases. E. g. Reportings/Exports with custom fields. Some expected dependencies missing. (custom fields in multiple processes/process switch)

### "The right tool for everybody! "

June 23, 2016

5.0

I've been using this tool for almost 4 years, the customization levels are extraordinary so you can always get what you want! another amazing element of target process is their support team, one of the best out there.

Pros

What I like the MOST?? The whole platform is a valid answer? :) probably their highly customization views is what I love the most.

Cons

Some defaults set by the administrators cannot be override, like landing page.

### "Easy to use. "

March 27, 2019

3.0

I would recommend this product depending on the price.

Pros

Although I liked that this a very easy to use tool. I think the graphics and speed could be better, compared to other products. I like that I can manage different projects at the same time. There a lot of saved filters that are very useful and will give you ideas to create new filters.

Cons

I could not connect with a sales rep to learn more about the enterprise pricing and had to go with the 30-day free trial.

### "Targetprocess is a great management tool, not easy to use but with so many features."

April 5, 2019

5.0

My overall experience is positive, Targetprocess is a really helpful tool with many layers of deepening in every task. It can be very useful to big teams and for long projects as well as shorter teams who want to have very good control of their planning and the tasks they have.

Pros

This software has many features and very good documentation. Our entire team is connected and are able to make changes and record the progress of our task. Also one fantastic feature is that you can set it up so when you do changes, or you open one task some other person of the team will be notified.

Cons

There are too many levels of hierarchy and it becomes difficult to comprehend all of them at first. As much as you're getting involved with the tool, it becomes easier and easier but at first, it can be a little discouraging. Especially when you need to explain the processes to a team with no prior experience with that.

### "Great board, but crappy reporting"

February 28, 2017

4.0

I really like using the boards, but they can be difficult to setup. Also some of the business logic setup around the boards doesn't jive with what we want to do sometimes. The worst part for me is forecasting and reporting. It takes a lot of data for the burn down to be accurate. Which is frustrating.

Pros

The ease of the boards once they are setup.

Cons

Difficult to setup boards. The reporting is not great. Limitations to what I can add logic wise.

### "I really like using Target Process"

September 14, 2018

5.0

We've been using it on our project for the last 2+ years.

Pros

I think it's very easy to use and it's very customizable to suit your needs and it's a great way to keep progress and communication together for your project.

Cons

It's a minor thing but I dislike how you have to right-click -> "Open a new tab" on a task when I used to be able to middle click my mouse to get the same behavior.

### "Convenient to run parallel projects"

December 24, 2019

5.0

Pros

I work at Targetprocess with a large team. We always have more than 10 projects on which we work in parallel. One of the cool features of the platform is the ability to quickly switch between project boards and use diagrams for visualization.

Cons

For some reason, there is no integration with GIT. This makes the platform less attractive. I also did not like access control. It is difficult to configure the rights so that not all users get access, but only a certain circle of people.

### "Badly made, slow and tedious to use, didn't look bad though"

June 23, 2016

2.0

To use it effectively you essentially have to build your own tracker on top of it. Next to unless out of the box.

Pros

The design is good and the filer language is powerful. If you want a particular view of things you can probably build it. API is flexible

Cons

Slow, buggy, bad technical design means entity ids change, time is not tracked across sprints so have to work around, poor url structure

### "Comprehensive Project Management product"

March 1, 2017

4.0

I have been using Targetprocess for more than 3 years now and can't imagine using any other tool to manage projects. I have not come across a more complete product to manage sprints, features and bugs. It does so many things and does them well. I highly recommend it.

Pros

It's comprehensive

Cons

It can be a little hard to understand at first and takes effort to split the features, stories, and tasks at first, which takes practice

### "Really nice product, easy to use and adapt to our needs"

February 28, 2017

4.0

I've been using Target Process for the better part of four years now and find that it is an easy product to use and that it can be easily configured (though I haven't had a hand in that part) to meet some of our specific needs. It provides a wide range of issue types (BUG, ISSUE, TASK, USER STORY, etc) that should be able to meet any corporation's ticketing needs.

Pros

Lots of ticket types. Customizable

Cons

I can't think of anything at this time.

May 15, 2018

4.0

Pros

We are using this it to manage the stories, task, subtask, and epic. The dashboard is very good and efficient. It is easy to manage bugs and associated stories using this tool.

Cons

The report representation and retrieval can be improved. The search functionality can also be improved. Rest of the things are good to me.

### "Super customizable and intuitive but can break unexpectedly in odd ways"

February 16, 2017

4.0

We love using Target Process, most of the time. We have our workflow customized exactly to our needs and can provide specific views for developers so everyone knows what to work on and when. The filters are super powerful, and much more intuitive than in the past. The drag & drop functionality allows us to make large scale changes quickly without a headache. At the same time, there's a few services that break on a semi-regular basis, most prominently 'auto-update' (i.e. the comet protocol used to update the contents of the screen without needing to refresh the page) and full text search (i.e. elasticsearch based token method of searching all entities which, when disabled, prevents any kind of searching other than by-entity-number). These two can bring our productivity to a screeching halt (imagine a developer working. Sometimes we can reindex the search and get going again within an hour or so, but often we can't even access the plugin to do this (nor, frankly, should we have to). There have been discussions about moving to Jira (which is basically the only viable competitor at this point) because of its flexibility with integrations. However, the actual product isn't easy to work with so it's been a sticking point. But, it's not out of the question. Final note... customer support is helpful but is staffed according to European time zones. So, right when you need them the most in the US, there's one dude trying to help you and he has no path of escalation to engineers. They'll fix your problem quickly overnight, though.

### "TargetProcess needs a high learning curve, but it worths every cent."

February 15, 2017

4.0

We use TP in the organisation that I work across 300+ people, 20+ teams, 5 different countries, 90+ projects. It gives you flexibility enough to customise acording to your organisation needs. My best tip is to learn very well the tool, before you start using. Make sureyou're using it on the right way, and you jounery will be smooth and easy.

Pros

Flexibility, user interface.

Cons

reporting and some lack on workflow funcionalities.

### "Incredible User Experience. Even better Agile/Scrum management"

October 1, 2018

5.0

All-encompassing option for managing an agile scrum process.

Pros

As a big fan of the Agile/Scrum methodology, having a tool to help us keep things straight is important. Keeping everyone on the same page is really important and Targetprocess really excels at helping you do that

Cons

There is a decent amount of setup required. This isn't surprising necessarily and is a part of really owning the process but Targetprocess is all in or nothing.

### "Great product"

June 23, 2016

5.0

Great product, it's just a bit expensive. We really enjoy the flexibility of having cards that function like sticky notes; it's helped our remote team visualize their work.

Pros

In the event that you can't use a whiteboard and sticky notes to track development, Targetprocess is the next best thing. It's intuitive and adaptable, and replicates sticky notes pretty well.

Cons

Slightly pricey

### "Links of a chain"

June 24, 2016

4.0

This is used daily to manage iterations and sprints. The flexibility between boards and linking them to different boards is great to include all staff with little experience. We use Business requirements on one board then make a user story on the sprint board. You can follow your work all the way through from the business requirement to test runs and then production of the work.

Pros

It is clear and and easy to use for all levels of experience.

Cons

It is sometimes slow to update card movements, especially if you update the card in the card and not by moving the chess piece style board
