Pros

Ryver is easy to set up, easy to learn to use and has so many options to customize it to your needs. You can set up private teams, open forums, have 1:1 chats, all working smoothly. We use the task and topics tabs in the groups a lot to see who needs to do what and stay on track without creating chaos. Everytime we tried other similiar apps, we have come back to Ryver because it is the best. Also has different integrations, for example, answers from a google form will be directly converted into tasks in a team, and much more is possible if you want to use zapier. We also only had great experiences with their customer support.

Cons

The mobile app sometimes takes a long time to load when you start it. A few more design customizations would be nice.

Pros

Messaging App but has team collaboration facilities.

Cons

Not satisfactory as a team collaboration app. Bad navigation, no free plan, less customization options and screen sharing support up to five people only.

I do not know how much Ryver would cost a business because I am not on that side but I can imagine it is cheaper. It works almost the same as other similar software so this could be a big problem for its competitors.

Pros

What I like most about Ryver, it gives the user so many options when using the chat options. You can dress up your chat room to make it your own

Cons

What I like least about the software is the way the chat is organized. I couldn't tell if I was replying to a chat person or it was posted by someone else. Also, uploading a document or screen shot was not easy to do the first time but after the user is used to the features, then this software might out-do other chat/team similar software.

Decent product, wouldn't pay to subscribe to full-version based on my experience.

Pros

Ability to customize text and posts using shortcuts and the ability to create endless groups.

Cons

The software crashed more often than should be acceptable, and often new updates were rolled out and caused issues.

I enjoyed that my team is able to keep track of daily tasks and chat via this platform.

Cons

It was not as easy to collaborate with other team members or departments with this platform. This is a use for one or two teams max in my opinion.

It has a "forum-like" section which they label it as "topics" where you can consolidate all the topics you wanted to discuss and every user can post/comment inside the topic just like a "comment" Ryver also has application for Android and iOS

Cons

UI appears to be very old design. I'm observing slow response when switching from 1 channel to another.

I use Ryver as part of the communication channel implemented for task management from our client end. It makes tracking of tasks easier.

Pros

Can chat as well as call team members over the app. Each task that is communicated via chat can be converted to tasks and the tasks can be tracked in projects. It also has its own mobile app version that is efficient to communicate. Thread communication is possible to track any requests. External collaboators can be added as guests.

Cons

Mobile app login can be more user friendly rather than having to key in org name. Use of a QR code can be more efficient.

Overall, Ryver works, as a solid option for mass communication, but doesn't over-perform in the field. I would recommend it to smaller businesses that don't have more than 40-50 employees, but future updates may make the user experience much more positive.

Pros

Ryver works as a mass communication tool for our independent/contract workers that need to be engaged on a daily basis. Ryver is responsive, allows for easy identification of contacts, and ensures that all contractors are up-to-date with business affairs.

Cons

I dislike the inability to understand who is speaking to whom within large conversations, as well as the inability to easily understand how to use the software to private IM, send direct replies etc..

Up until we stopped using it, everybody loved Ryver. IT worked exceptionally well, had great support and an administrative console that was top notch. Again, if it remained free for us, we'd still be using it!

Pros

It does everything Slack does. Simple chat features, easy use, easy setup. At the time we used it, it was free for what we were doing. Unfortunately, they took away the free features, making my firm change to Slack's free model. With that being said, if you are using the paid features of Slack, Ryver is almost an exact clone of Slack, with a competitive cost. If I was paying for the added features, I would totally be satisfied with what Ryver brings to the table

Cons

As mentioned, it is great, however, due to the fact that it does not have the financial resources of Slack, they had to eliminate the free usage model, thus my firm moved away from Ryver and went with Slack.

Ryver is fine, but I much preferred using Slack. It just works better on all platforms.

Pros

The web browser-based version is fine, and reminds me a lot of Slack. It's nice to have the "topics" and "tasks" sections.

Cons

The mobile application takes forever to load and just throws errors sometimes. It's unreliable and it's hard to figure out how to get the notification settings just-right.
