This has allowed me to keep and use my US phone number while I'm living abroad. In the digital era, there is a constant 2-step verification that needs a US phone number. I try to put the phone number is as a number to validate my identity eg a login for social media or to open a new account with somewhere and it ALWAYS says sorry this is not a valid number. Pros Easily forwarded my US calls to my UK number. Customer service was good when their billing software didn't allow a foreign address. Was fixed in a few days. Cons At the time, I don't believe you could forward text messages. I am only a single person business with all the robo calls these days, I always use an auto attendant so callers have to press 2 or 3 to leave a message.
