Pros

The interface is clean and super easy to use. I like especially how easy it is to create bespoke pages, and it easily exceeds other ATS options.

Cons

I haven't yet run into any particular issues with Homerun - if I were to be picky I'd say maybe some additional customisation options for dark mode ATS pages.

So far I have been really happy with Homerun. Like mentioned earlier, easy to use, you can modify everything based on your wishes, Knockout-questions which save a lot of manual work internally and customer service has been excellent.

Pros

The value the product offers for the company is high. It is easy to use, easy to modify based on the company brand/image and user experience is on a high level. The buttons/options are on places you would assume and very logical.

Cons

Maybe for the future it would be possible to still develop further the candidate survey options; this would help the companies to make the candidate journey even better for the future.

Our time using Homerun was largely positive while we were active users. The platform is well-designed, easy to navigate, and suited for small teams hiring fast. But the way our departure was handled left a bitter aftertaste. A more thoughtful approach to account closure, like a short data retention period—would make a big difference.

Pros

Homerun makes it easy to get started. Onboarding is fast, and managing candidates is intuitive and smooth. It’s clearly built with user-friendliness in mind.

Cons

Offboarding, unfortunately, is where things fall apart. Our account and all associated data were permanently deleted within 24 hours of cancellation. With no warning, no grace period, and no way to reverse it. That felt abrupt and unnecessarily rigid, especially when it meant losing access to important candidate conversations.

Very positive. I will use it again the next time we have a large scale application pool that we need to be able to sort swiftly and efficiently.

Pros

It has a simple userfriendly interface, and makes the process of sorting and evaluating applications straightforward and easy to carry out within a hiring team setting. in the arts, it is especially handy as it allows quick toggling between multiple candidates for comparative purposes, so that you can figure out who to interview as part of your hiring or selecting process. And if there are questions, customer support is prompt and helps solve any challenges quickly, so that you can focus on recruitment and not practical issues.

Cons

i just wish you could also give half-stars. one to five whole stars is a little imprecise when you are deciding between a large number of candidates.

Straightforward to use, clear to view and I visit regularly. I use the wall but my colleagues don't seem to be as aware of it which is a pity. This could be emphasised a bit more.

Pros

Easy to navigate, and view annual leave to ensure we don't overbook staff or request too much. I also like the wall to leave feedback to colleagues.

Cons

Not much to dislike, it is easy to navigate, although holiday booked doesn't always show up on the chart, I had to search in my personal account.

Pretty good overall. They are clear in their communication and respond quickly if you need their help. The platform itself is easy to use and efficient.

Pros

The adequate help you receive. They respond fast and are always trying to help you out the best way possible.

Cons

They were flexible by providing us a shorter term contract. However, the fact that Homerun only offers yearly contracts now is something we dislike as a company. But like a said, it's appreciated they shortened the term for us.

Pros

booking holidays and how organized it is, its easy to see how many days you are allowed to take and how many days for what occasions

Cons

sometimes it miscalculates holidays, but then it notifies you that how many holidays you have left and that makes up for it

Overall not a bad experience but not what we expected either. It was simple to post our job openings and to track all candidates during the different hiring phases they were in.

Pros

We appreicated that this platform was very user friendly and did not take alot of time to learn and navigate. We had a great deal of help from the support team they were great in resolving our many issues. Recruiters had a positive expereince using the platform as well.

Cons

A few things to be aware of, on the pricey side if you have a large team. Server would have glitches during high business hours and would have difficulity downloading reports. Could not customize reports to contact specific data about our candidates.

We are a team that works remote a lot. Homerun is really easy to use for remote teams, because you can let everyone access the right vacancies and discuss together in the tool what you think of certain applicants. I also like that you can make e-mail templates, which really saves you a lot of time for every applicant.

Pros

\- The design - The simplicity. They don't have too many features. Only the ones you actually need with recruiting. - The customer service. You really het a personal treatment and they are quick with their replies.

Cons

There is no option to bundle qualified candidates that you don't want to hire now, but maybe in a later stadium. This feature is on their roadmap though. I cannot wait to use it!

Reason for choosing Homerun

We were doubting to maybe don't use any software yet and only purchase software when we grow too big to handle. But I'm very happy we didn't because starting off with good software right away gives you more peace when you are scaling up. And.. the price is actually very good, also for small companies.

### "Homerun allows telling the authentic company story"

Since we started using Homerun all relevant data is gathered in one system. No scattered data across systems, but more focus on what matters most; the applicant.

Pros

The two most important features in recruitment software are: telling your company's story, and supporting the entire applicant's application lifecycle. Homerun perfectly covers both. Where job posts usually do not allow rich markup, Homerun offers all tools and widgets needed to thell the full story. We had many applicants who Once an applicant did apply, Homerun allows managing the workflow in detail. This makes hiring what it should be, a team effort.

Cons

Setting up the job posts and workflow require more time as posting a profile and letting applicants apply by email. Investing this time is a requirement for successful hiring at a big scale though.

Reason for choosing Homerun

\- Homerun did allow us best to tell our story - Recruitment software is not our core business, eliminating our previous solution.

We received a lot of applicants via the system. I think it's easy to use, the service is amazing and I think the price/quality is excellent. Also I think working with Homerun makes the overview of the candidates so much better; cannot think about working without the system.

Pros

I like that it's possible to change the page, insert mail templates, chat online, add video's and contact everyone via the system. It's very AVG proof.

Cons

What I don't like is that it's not possible to change the page totally the way you want it to look like. You cannot for example change the typo. And I would love to have the possibility to change the lay-out of the e-mail templates. Now it's quite boring and very hard/almost impossible to add a nice signature .

Pros

It's easy to implement in your own website and it's very userfriendly.

Cons

Sometimes I would like to change something what is not possible, but it's is such a minor thing that I'm not able to remember what is was.

The most important features for us as a small business are: - holiday planning, booking and the shared calendar - sickness record and bradford factor score - goals - appraisals We like that the product is focussed to suit the needs of a small/medium business and so it isn't like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. You're only paying for what you really need. Importantly, the support service is top notch and personable - perfectly suited to the needs of SMEs

Cons

I'd like to see more dynamic reporting features or even just a wider choice of reports. I'm assured that this is coming. However, it's worth noting that if you can't access a specific type of report you want then you can contact support and they'll run the report for you.

It's super simple to create beautiful landing pages for your job ads with little effort.

Cons

If you don't use it on a daily basis, you have to get used to the interface. Some things feel a bit hidden sometimes, so you have to search a bit.

If you are a SME like us you will find Staff Squared beneficial in looking after your staff and keeping accurate and up to date records

Pros

I had been searching for HR software for some time and came across Staff Squared. It's an intuitive self service app that has made everyday HR so much easier and freed up time in my day for other Admin duties. There are no set up fees or long term contracts just a monthly subscription, so easy to set up and use.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about Staff Squared. All questions are quickly answered by their support team

I often recommend Homerun to smaller companies because it’s affordable, easy to set up, and does exactly what it needs to do without being overly complex. It’s a solid, no-nonsense tool. I’ve been following and using Homerun for 3 years now, and while it hasn’t changed much in that time, it continues to deliver a smooth and pleasant user experience.

Pros

Homerun is a simple and easy-to-use tool that works well for smaller recruitment setups. It’s straightforward, without too many options, which makes it user-friendly. Posting a job is quick and intuitive, and the layout blocks make the job posts visually appealing. The candidate overview is also clear and easy to follow. I especially like that there’s a scheduling assistant, allowing candidates to book their own meetings, and that it integrates well with Outlook. The support team is friendly and quick.

Cons

What I find really disappointing is that you can’t add extra subpages to the career site. Everything has to be on one page, which is a real shame. I also don’t like the evaluation forms (called scorecard templates). They should be much more customizable. Other systems do this really well — you can adjust the questions and add open fields. In Homerun, you’re stuck with giving star ratings and adding a short comment, plus there’s always the same default question at the top.
