Recruitment Consultant Human Resources Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Simple, affordable, and effective " October 31, 2025 3.0 I often recommend Homerun to smaller companies because it’s affordable, easy to set up, and does exactly what it needs to do without being overly complex. It’s a solid, no-nonsense tool. I’ve been following and using Homerun for 3 years now, and while it hasn’t changed much in that time, it continues to deliver a smooth and pleasant user experience. Pros Homerun is a simple and easy-to-use tool that works well for smaller recruitment setups. It’s straightforward, without too many options, which makes it user-friendly. Posting a job is quick and intuitive, and the layout blocks make the job posts visually appealing. The candidate overview is also clear and easy to follow. I especially like that there’s a scheduling assistant, allowing candidates to book their own meetings, and that it integrates well with Outlook. The support team is friendly and quick. Cons What I find really disappointing is that you can’t add extra subpages to the career site. Everything has to be on one page, which is a real shame. I also don’t like the evaluation forms (called scorecard templates). They should be much more customizable. Other systems do this really well — you can adjust the questions and add open fields. In Homerun, you’re stuck with giving star ratings and adding a short comment, plus there’s always the same default question at the top. Homerun HR might also become our future HR solution. Pros The tool is intuitive, well-organized, easy to structure, and it's great that you can rate candidates individually and without influence, the accept or reject system works smoothly too. Cons the templates are handy, but you really need to pay attention not to accidentally send one, because that's a bit embarrassing. It was user-friendly, quite easy to learn and we moved the recruitment processes there for now. Haven´t tested the employee management for now, but will look into it. Pros A nice, simple ATS tool that has everything we need for a small company at a reasonable price. We specifically liked its modern design and intuitive interface. The ability to customize the application page looks cool, too. Cons Some of the features inside the candidate´s card could be improved for better usability, but it is good that we can suggest features to support. Also, we felt like only 1 active vacancy for a starter´s pack subscription is a bit too tight.. Like mentioned earlier, easy to use, you can modify everything based on your wishes, Knockout-questions which save a lot of manual work internally and customer service has been excellent. Pros The value the product offers for the company is high. It is easy to use, easy to modify based on the company brand/image and user experience is on a high level. The buttons/options are on places you would assume and very logical. Cons Maybe for the future it would be possible to still develop further the candidate survey options; this would help the companies to make the candidate journey even better for the future. However, some of us only use it on our mobiles and this part of it needs some work. Maybe a dedicated mobile app version would be a good option. Pros The information and the layout are well thought out. I like the one page style where i can see everything by simply scrollimg down the page. Cons It's not mobile friendly. When using a mobile, especially when trying to book a holiday. The calender is very small and fiddly to use. Most people give up on it. Homerun is clear, simple and easy going. It's straight forward in the use and very accessible to all teammates. Pros It's very simple and clear. The steps are easy to follow and thanks to the notification you can reach what you need directly. Cons I don't really like how the comment section is done. Tagging doesnt really work when adding the first comment (at least for me) and it would be good to use comments and rating to trigger flows for the application process. This way of applying feels more accessible and low-threshold. It is also well suited for our open call.
