Pros

Nothing leap has got nothing at all to recommend it. They are non-communicative, arrogant, failed to respond to communications, failed to return telephone calls do not respond to emails in short I would rather use a quill pen and use leap. Yes I have tried to contact them know they have not bothered to respond

Cons

I am a sole practitioner and I was using the virtual practice system run by SOS legal. It would appear that SOS legal have now been acquired/taken over by Leap and the manner in which they have treated customers who have been with virtual practice for 12 years is breathtakingly bad. You cannot speak to anybody. They do not respond to emails and then they blackmail you over your data. This company should not be permitted to conduct business in the legal arena, if you are a law firm beware they will hold you to ransom if you let them hold your data

### "LEAP review"

We found that once we had been signed up as a client the team didn’t care. We didn’t have an account manager contact for three years and only learnt we had one when we gave notice to leave. There was no desire to resolve the issues we had over the three years we used this product. The prices were increased significantly at the end of our three year contract.

Pros

It was a good system and they were always up to date with billing codes and legal aid developments

Cons

We used the system from June 2018 until May 2021. We had problems with word integration and the PDF conversion. This was never resolved. The system did not communicate with Xero.

We could not be without out it. It's very user friendly and the help guides are very useful too.

Pros

The software is incredibly user friendly. It's not overly complicated and makes conducting cases so much easier. The coloured tab on emails to let the user know that the email is already in documents, it a brilliant feature.

Cons

Practitioners often dictate correspondence which means that there can be a delay in preparing an attendance note. This means that the 'created' date may be different from the date the work was carried out which impacts on the chronology in documents.

Good.

Pros

It is easy to use and intuitive. As with other providers it is cloud based which is important. The phone app is useful to record time and view matters on the move.

Cons

A little expensive compared to other providers but generally an easier product to use, particularity for users who are not overly confident with IT.

### "LEAP for immigration law"

I like a lot about it, but for a small, very busy practice, the set up and learning curve has been a big challenge, as compared to Clio.

Pros

The fact that is comprehensive and covers all aspects of practice.

Cons

The fact that the platform is not tailored to our practice area. While there are options for immigration law, even at the case setup level the options are not accurate, for example for other party there is no option for Department of State.

I am not the most tech-savvy but I was able to easily learn the nuts and bolts fairly quickly. My support representative, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is an attorney and was extremely helpful when the product was new for me and continues to be a great resource!

I wish there was a sharefile system that was implemented

### "Not sure if it's for me"

Overall I am unhappy with the software, I was promised something and it feels like a bait and switch. The IT and customer service has been very nice but the software itself does not function as it should

Pros

There are some great templates for real estate transactions. The customer support from IT is phenomenal especially Nick.

Cons

The limited templates for estate planning is atrocious. The intake forms are limited and awful. The software cannot be used for estate planning or estate administration as is. For example, the new POA form came out for NY and there are no modification templates. I have heard the software is great for billing end time purposes but those are not useful to me. The software does not work as I intended it to when I purchased it. I had asked the sales agent whether I could template all of my Wills, POA, Healthcare proxies, etc. like ForeTrust and they promised me that yes, it could do that and more. All i have experienced is frustration with the software.

### "LEAP Review Six months in"

We love it. There were certainly frustrations going from one platform to another. We are still learning every day. But overall, the cloud based system has allowed us to have virtual employees and work remotely, which we could not do before.

Pros

The access via any computer and my iphone to documents, calendar, etc is amazing compared to what we were using before. I love that chat support is available all day. I use it a lot!

Cons

The practice areas are not as customizable as we would like. I wish they would dedicate a development team to each state so they could get an understanding of the unique ways each state handles different areas of law. There are some reports they need to add.

That you cannot select how you want the letter to read, i.e., if you select an electronic letter to John Smith, Esq., from Heymann & Fletcher's card, the letter reads Dear Smith, Esq., rather than Mr. Smith.

### "false advertising regarding six-month trial period"

Terrible.

Pros

I don't like the product or service.

Cons

Does not work with Mac and use of parallel software required to run LEAP slows and damages Mac. Repeated exchanges with LEAP support to cancel contract because of inability to run LEAP on Mac were unsuccessful. Initially, I was sent me to multiple trainings/consults. I complied but my repeated requests to cancel my LEAP contract were ignored. My request was ultimately denied because I did not continuously use the product throughout the trial period despite the fact that I repeatedly reported to LEAP that it was impossible to use the product on the MAC. Please cancel my LEAP contract now.

### "BEWARE!"

We were told we could have a "six month free trial" with a money back guarantee at the end of the trial period. When we quickly realized this software did not match our needs we began talking with LEAP to end our trial at the end of the period. This is an almost impossible task and they continue to argue with us. FREE TRIAL does not mean anything to LEAP. We are even willing to just get out and not worry about money back guarantee, but still no luck. They are trying to hold us to the 3 year contract for payment. BEWARE!

Pros

LEAP Promised lots of usable features during demonstration and training. Like only the fact that it will integrate well with Outlook emails. The email feature is the best, although it is all stored with a specific matter and we are unable to see a daily email listing.

Cons

SO MUCH! Difficult to use (and we are very computer/database savvy). Have to find "work arounds" for almost all things we do on a daily basis. When information was transferred from our previous TimeMatters software, it was garbage. Not usable and so incomplete it makes no sense. We are having to continue to use our old software to get work accomplished. Does not work easily for litigation or family law practice. Looks like it would be better suited for real estate matters and estates. Unfortunately, we do not do either.

### "Easy to use"

Overall, happy with the software. It’s amazing how you can produce, arrange and keep all the documents in one place.

Pros

Easy to learn, navigate and obtain the information needed . Simple features such as being able to convert large amounts of documents into a single PDF document within seconds is so helpful.

Cons

Like any other software Leap has its flaws. Often won’t open Word or Excel documents that are saved onto Leap. Can not add any attachments from Outlook straight onto Leap ( it has to be added onto desktop then onto Leap, which can be time consuming). Other than that, I am happy with Leap.

### "We like Leap"

I think that Leap is a pretty good product. We are overall happy we switched and felt that it brought our firm more into the 21st century.

Pros

What I like most about this software is the cloud feature that allows all of our data to be in one place, and on the go. Being able to access Leap on my iPhone has been a game-changer, especially since we are still in a hybrid remote work mode.

Cons

What I like least about Leap is that there are consistently technical issues, glitches, that happen for no reason and it can be super frustrating. I do find that this type of issue happens with Leap more than other software we use.

Overall my experience has been positive.

Pros

I like the fact that it is cloud based and the flexibility this allows. I like the fact that I can get on the phone to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] (my customer success manager) if things go awry and he can usually assist or signpost me. Some of the improvements have been brilliant and I like the leap integrations.

Cons

Sometimes the updates are quite buggy and as a result the support teams are overwhelmed. Some of the LEAP integrations are not good value.

I could not express enough how much I would not recommend this product. Regardless of the product itself, if it is not supported when problems arise then it is useless.

Pros

I cannot write anything that is positive given the problem I have is left unresolved for weeks and no one is willing to assist in resolving it so I am left frustrated and annoyed and have spent days trying to contact someone for an update on where it is at an no one will speak with me or assist, either over the phone or even via email.

Cons

Complete lack of customer support. This has become a major issue for me and the fact I cannot contact them and they have had weeks to resolve the issue is extremely frustrating and affecting my ability to do my work.
