### "6 months of use - still early days"

Leap is good - i think it is a lot when you set up a new matter and i am note sure we get the most from it yet but we are still new and learning daily.

Pros

how everything can be neat in folders, great for processing letters and documents and emails in and out can all be saved to the matter with ease.

Cons

having to do all your own precedents with codes etc - take way too much time and that time has to be found first.

Reason for choosing LEAP

More precedents and felt we would get more from this system than we did our previous. No support from Advanced whatsoever.

Pros

The software is easy to use and does what it says on the tin. We are paperless and the system makes it easy to run files.

Cons

The fact we cannot all access the tasks needs rectifying urgently as inefficient to keep emailing the person who the task is assigned to.

### "Look before you LEAP"

Disaster. The support staff seemed overwhelmed with the issues I am having and escalated the support ticket. However, LEAP is a cloud based product therefore, if there is a problem, it is on there end.

Pros

Cloud based and all the features that state they have. However, LEAP seems to be putting it together as they go.

Cons

You CANNOT call support. You will spend forever sending chat messages back and forth and nothing gets done. I have been attempting to get my billing out and I am having all sorts of problems. The product is NOT ready for the US market.

Based on the representations made by LEAP. They promise way more then they can deliver.

It is very slow. It has a lot of features but we don't use most of them.

Pros

The integration process and exporting our management was easy.

Cons

It takes a long time to load. It takes a long time to close. It operates pretty slow.

Had a lot of issues. Love a lot of features, but disappointed with a lot as well. We were looking to be able to get rid of all the other programs we use, and unfortunately we have not been able to do so.

Pros

The ability to create documents template to re-use.

Cons

Address field, needs TITLE on the card (instead of Previous name)

### "Probably worst mistake in my 31 year career"

I was referred to LEAP by Lexi’s Nexis. Been working on tech support for 5 months to no avail. Now begging that they do the right thing and release me from the contract bc they can’t get their own software to work. Very likely to end in litigation. BEWARE!!!!

Pros

Very little. This software is not usable for law firms. Disastrous!

Cons

Software simply doesn’t work. Relies on Outlook and too many bugs to work as advertised. Can’t calendar events or create tasks.

Reason for choosing LEAP

I was referred. I went ahead and bought My Case so now I’m paying for two. I can’t warn strongly enough. This company is terrible.

### "Easy to use practice management software"

Pros

Fairly easy to use, there was no down time making the switch from previous software, training team was excellent.

Cons

I would like if it was one-stop (I have to use QuickBooks as well), some of the accounting/financial information never transferred over from our previous software and no one at Leap has been able to resolve that issue for us.

### "make it easier to void a check"

Pros

Easy to use, you can jump from one matter to another

Cons

You can't void a check w/o reversing the payment and the invoice, keep getting errors when going into quickbooks so checks are not showing up there

It’s a cliche but it “does what it says on the tin”. The team all use it and intact it’s part of our team! The support from our account manager Tony Osborn has been invaluable and I look forward to working with him as we develop the product

Pros

I have recently joined my firm as Senior partner and together with my secretary needed to get up to speed on leap (the incumbent cms) and we have done so with ease! We are still learning but it’s very usable from the off.

Cons

Too soon to say, there are so many features I need to find them all first!

### "A leap of faith "

Really techy advanced clear to use. it can be an overwhelming system at first but it doesn't take long to get your head around it and offers a range of amazing things.

Pros

The coding and how when sending initial forms out to clients or contract packs it is so quick and efficient it takes under 5 mins. time efficiency with leap is a massive pro

Cons

i think the integration could be smoother with Perfect Portal and Infotrack. although obviously it is really good there are some areas that could be implemented to make it more seamless. It would also be good if documents could automatically be downloaded in the correct folders created from recurring matters

### "Horrible software- horrible service "

Horrible. The document management is horrendous. What normally takes one or two steps using something like dropbox takes 4 to 5 steps with Leap. It’s significantly increased the time and effort needed to create, download, upload, and manipulate files.

Pros

The one and only good feature was the automatic billing entry from email feature.

Cons

The company is crooked. They will not honor your contract or allow you to cancel. They keep sucking money out of your account even when you have written to them twice and called them and emailed them telling them you want to end your trial and not continue with their product.

Reason for choosing LEAP

They talked a good game. Again, the one and only good thing was the integration of the billing with the emails.

This software makes me more efficient at work as I am able to do multiple things such as drafting mtions, writing emails, and billing for time all from one platform.

Pros

I love that is so easy to use. I love that we can e-mail, write motions, write letters, fax, and calendar all through one platform. Our LEAP representative has been super attentive, they always answer our emails super quickly. The representative has visited our office on numerous occasions and is always so helpful, they are a great teacher, and is efficient at solving our problems.

Cons

the fact that I cannot calendar from the Mobile Application is something that hinders my ability to calendar remotely and from court.

LEAP is AWESOME! I am a solo practitioner, and LEAP provides me with the ability and appearance of a mid-size firm. From LEAP's professional looking Invoices; to the ease of creating forms and templates; to providing an easy way to track and log my billable time; to the ability to email, fax, create letters, and PDFs with a simple click of a mouse that makes the annoying task of sending correspondence a thing of the past. LEAP makes law office practice and management fun. LEAP's team of professionals like Amy Marinho and Terrance Morgan are just a phone call or an email away. They are always there to help you, by making training on LEAP fun and easy. They quickly responding to any questions you may have in regard to LEAP. I feel that Amy and Terrance are part of my law firm staff, and as a solo practitioner that feels great. Amy once said to me "anything is possible with LEAP!" that is so true! I made a great decision to become an Attorney; I made another great decision by getting LEAP! What are you waiting for... GET LEAP!

Pros

I love the ease of the forms and template creation. The simple way LEAP allows you to track and log my time and the itemizing of the services provided on a given matter. Invoices are created with great ease and look very professional. LEAP makes the accounting aspect of law firm practice simple to track.

Cons

One con, why didn't the creators of LEAP have a program to make law school fun and easy!?

### "No customer support"

Pros

The product is easy to use but is way more robust for the needs of a small office

Cons

No customer support when you need it. They do not offer phone in Tech support and your "ticket" can go unassigned for hours

Reason for choosing LEAP

Leap said they could integrate all of the data from my prior provider into the LEAP system; they failed to do so and the data was lost.

I couldn't run my practice without it.

Pros

I love the time keeping and fillable forms. It helps me get everything done faster and maximize my billable time.

Cons

It is expensive, but it is all inclusive, so you won't need to spend money on other software. Sometimes I wish it was more customizable, but it is more so than a lot of the other options out there.

### "Good for small law firms"

Pros

Leap is very intuitive and easy to use for small law practice management. It includes prompts for compliance and is useful for audit when we get our annual SRA Audit done. It links up with our accounting software which is a bonus, whilst at the same time allowing for both systems to be separate.

Cons

The interface is a little old fashioned looking, but that is a minor criticism.

LEAP is an excellent case management tool with lots of help and support available.

Pros

The client and office ledgers are an excellent tool especially for Conveyancing services. The import function for documents is extremely useful and easy to use.

Cons

Invoicing is clunky. It's difficult to amend invoices without the auto generated function pulling in the original information from the system.

Pros

Everything is located within the one piece of software

Cons

You cannot export a client file in the event they seek a copy. The software is limited to only exporting 100 files at a time so if you have a decent client file then you need to ring and ask Leap if they can export. The answer is that they can but for $4,000 !!!
