Overall, my experience with LEAP has been very good. It is a useful system that helps manage matters, record time easily, and organise documents in one place. The AI features also make research and daily work more efficient.

Pros

LEAP is easy to use and has a clear layout. I like the helpful features such as Research AI, LawY, and Matter AI, which make legal research quicker and easier. It is also simple to record time and find documents quickly.

Cons

There are many features in LEAP, so it can take some time to learn how to use everything- but the training sessions provided by \[sensitive content hidden\] are very informative and helpful.

### "LEAP is amazing"

My overall experience with LEAP is very good, and I have been using it for about 2 years now. The client support is prompt and responsive. LEAP's utility and features exceed many of what other legal practice management solutions offer within the same cost range.

Pros

LEAP has all the features I need in my practice. I rely on it to help me run my solo practice efficiently. They have WealthCounsel, USCIS immigration forms, LawY, LawConnect, billing capabilities, and practice management.

Cons

There is a learning curve that I think would discourage practitioners who may not have a good level of aptitude in software.

### "Good but needs improvement, especially for smaller firms"

Overall our experience with LEAP has been positive. More training would be nice to target all areas. But as this has to be paid for by the business and only being a small business it was just not cost effective. I would say it is value for money if you use all aspects of the system. It would also be good to know more about the system and be able to have someone that knows it inside out, but given we are a smaller firm this is just not possible.

Pros

The system is great for, and seems to be a lot more tailored to, Conveyancing. Our team find it easy to use and has made their jobs a lot more streamlined. The layout is easy to use and it looks good. We have a great account manager at the present, but previous account manages have left a lot to be desired.

Cons

The main issue we have is with our accounting department. This could be a user issue but the main complaints are from them saying the system is complicated, difficult to use and there is little to no support from LEAP. The system is not particularly great for Probate or Family Law. I don't think our Probate Department use much of the system at all. This could be down to the Training, all raining is outsourced, only so much is provided and as our conveyancing team is the largest department, the training was focused more towards them. The system does not handle large documents very well either. Particularly the Form E in Family Law. It takes an age to load and sometimes pulls through duplicate information from different areas of LEAP. Not great when you just need to make a small amendment which should take 30 seconds but ends up taking 15/20 minutes. I have debated not using it. The theory behind it is great, but in practice it needs a lot of work.

### "Exceptional Software"

Finding the right practice management software was extremely important for my firm. After implementing the LEAP Legal Software, I can confidently say it has been a game changer for us. LEAP has streamlined both our practice management and accounting in a way that is intuitive and efficient, significantly improving our workflow and overall organization. Several features really stand out, including how user-friendly the platform is, the excellent training provided during onboarding, the integrated AI tools designed for lawyers, and the responsiveness of the support team. Overall, LEAP has helped our firm run more efficiently, reduce time spent on administrative tasks, and focus more on delivering quality service to our clients. I would highly recommend it to any law firm looking for an all-in-one practice management and legal accounting solution.

Pros

Standout features for me is how user-friendly the system is, how great the training has been, the integrated AI for lawyers and the support team.

Cons

At the start I had a few glitches with LEAP and word, but now that it has been rectified, I can confidently say it is a great software.

### "LEAP into cases"

i have used it for document and client management and appreciate how seamless the accounting and client service functions are which allows collaboration with my staff and office manager on case management

Pros

the value is excellent for my small firm. The customer support is far better than any prior product that i have used.

Cons

the updates often are buggy and its interplay with other programs can crash on occasion, but they are good at attempting to resolve.

### "LEAP =good for file management"

It has been okay. We went from PCLAW which was very dated and pricey. It has been nice to switch to something which is cost effective and user friendly.

Pros

I can have an app on my phone. It is good to produce various reports on efficiency/productivity. It is easy enough to use to keep track of time and to bill client files.

Cons

Conflict checks are not formatted in a clear way. Customer service take too long to respond to issues. There should be e-mails sent out when updates are available to be downloaded.

Overall I have had a positive experience with Leap. It has helped me as a Sole Practitioner to transition to remote working when out of office and I have found that new staff have managed to operate the system without any extensive training.

Pros

Since we installed Leap we have found it to be a User friendly system which minimises time for staff training. As a Sole Practitioner I haev also found that the system makes remote working very efficient with great remote access to files and accounts records. We are also finding the new AI capability to be very helpful.

Cons

Overall I havent had any reason to complain. On a minor point I do not like the recent changes which requires users to open Leap Accounting on a new screen.

My overall experience with LEAP has been extremely positive. It offers excellent value for money, particularly for a small or sole-practitioner law firm. The system supports both legal and accounting functions in one place, integrates well with external software, and is backed by a friendly and supportive team. Pros

LEAP is extremely user-friendly and well suited to a small law firm. The case management system is intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes day-to-day file management efficient and straightforward. The accounting functionality integrates seamlessly with Xero, which is a huge benefit and saves significant time. The LEAP team are also very approachable, responsive, and genuinely keen to help whenever queries arise.

Cons

There is a lot of functionality available, which can feel slightly overwhelming at the very beginning. However, with a bit of use and support from the LEAP team, this quickly becomes manageable and is ultimately a positive given how comprehensive the system is.

Excellent, I have always found the team very very helpful. The Wills Suite operatives are excellent at working out issues and assisting with problems. I found the software tricky at first but was given training and that really helped. Very grateful to \[sensitive content hidden\] who helped me during a problem I had recently, she spent time looking for the issue which was holding me up completing the job, she solved it and explained why the programme had not worked. She confirmed times that she would phone me back and she was kept to her word. Another breath of fresh air in the complex world of computers! Thank you \[sensitive content hidden\]

Pros

Excellent Customer Support, really ingenious software which really helps your daily work. Excellent staff who explain issues and problems and help you progress your way through the software.

Cons

I do not have anything negative to say. I think this software has revolutionised law in the UK. It has simplified tasks and put everything that we all need into one helpful computer programme.

### "It has changed the way I work"

I would not be able to work remotely in the way that I can if we did not have Leap. The AI integration is also very useful.

Pros

Not having used a Case Management system before, Leap has enabled me to work remotely having everything in one place. Having Leap Accounting as a separate tab really helps with time recording as you can look at the matter and input time in a separate window, you don't need to jump between two tabs or write everything down and then key it in separately, it saves a lot of time. The new Legal Aid Submit a Bulk upload was seamlessly integrated into Leap as the Legal Aid Agency changed and this meant that we could start using it immediately with no issues. Recording key dates on the calendar is a very quick way to see what is due on a matter and enables you to keep on top of deadlines. If the file is quite large the search bar helps to find documents so you don't have to scroll through the whole file.

Cons

When drafting Court Applications, although Leap brings through details from the cards, it usually brings through the persons details and not their Solicitors and this means that you then need to go into the forms and change the information Leap has brought through.

My overall experience has been very good. I find the help desk is responsive, whether I click on "Feedback" on a form or contact the help desk directly to open a ticket. (Not that I have to do this often.) The ongoing training that is available has also been an asset.

Pros

I like that all of the features of a practice management suite are present together, including forms and financial requirements. The AI prompts are developing nicely, and having integrated LawY is proving to be helpful as well.

Cons

Sometimes forms don't populate properly. However, there is a "Feedback" button to contact LEAP about a form not working and it's usually cleared up within a day or so.

### "LEAP review"

While it can be efficient to have one repository for all of our documents, it is difficult to get past the errors and slowness when using LEAP.

Pros

The ability to share documents with others in the organization. Having one storage space for all of the firm's documents.

Cons

The lag time with plug-in apps like Word, Excel, and Adobe. The error messages when things do not open properly typically force a restart of LEAP. It can be frustrating to not be able to work efficiently because of these issues.

### "Learning new Leap features"

awesome, fletcher's visit has been very helpful its been awhile since we had someone representing Leap out to the office.

Pros

Customer Support - excellent. 5 stars to Fletcher. Assisted me firstly in the Statement of Adjustments new documents on line and followed up with visit to the office. Very knowledgeable, personable young man. Information provided for AI service which we do not use at the moment but after showing us the processes, we will have the confidence to try it! New features were shown with updated Statement of Adjustments. Assisted us with email support and was very helpful.

Cons

occasionally get issues with features of the software however support is very helpful and quick to react.

### "LEAPs AND BOUNDs ABOVE THE REST"

WONDERFUL, FABULOUS, SPECTACULAR, AWESOME. The people are patient, kind, knowledgeable and supportive when the need arises. Tho that happens few and far between being they have the program down pat.

Pros

I have been using since they first came to the US. LEAP software is SPECTACULAR - the CADILLAC of legal software. I have looked into less expensive legal software programs and none hold a candle to LEAP and all it can do. It is PRICELESS.

Cons

There are some work arounds that I have to make to suit my personal work needs. Still leaps and bounds (pun intended) any other legal software program and I'd have to make work arounds for the other programs as well.

It is cloud based which is extremely useful for seamless remote access. It is reasonably easy to use and integrates well with MS Outlook for linking emails and attachments which is a very helpful feature.

Leap and still perfecting their phone messages function but the team are very helpful at accepting feedback and there is continuous development.

### "Excellent Case management System Overall - some limitations for family lawyers"

I have been using LEAP for several years now. It is by far the best case management system that I have used. The training provided initially was informative and there is plenty of useful information in LEAP University if you need help with something after this or a refresher.

Pros

LEAP's automation of correspondence, document storage, and ability to share documents securely and efficiently works well for all of our departments. I find the billing and time recording tools really useful and the new separate tab for accounting is helpful when time recording. The more recently added AI Functionality can save a significant amount of time. The "By Lawyers" legal guides and precedents are very useful and updated regularly.

Cons

As a family lawyer there are some limitations and I do not believe that we get the same out of the system that other areas of law do. The "My Finances" app is a good idea in theory but practically the system struggles to then pull through the information to generate/open the Form E. I feel that LEAP could focus more on how the system could be improved to be more useful for family lawyers.

### "Efficient Case Management with great AI"

We have had Leap since our set up and it has has significantly improved how we manage matters, collaborate as a team, and keep on top of client information. The system overall has streamlined our workflow and reduced administrative time. With some refinements to reporting, it could easily be the best legal practice management software on the market.

Pros

LEAP provides an excellent all-in-one platform for case management. The document automation and integration with Microsoft 365 make it easy to generate, store, and share documents securely. The client and matter management tools are efficient, and the ability to access everything remotely is invaluable. Data security is strong, and the migration process from our previous system was well supported. Their customer support is very quick and much of it can be rectified through their AI support saving a lot of time. It is really user friendly and not clunky like other CMS.

Cons

The system can be slow at times, particularly when handling large files. Some of the financial reports can be difficult to tailor. The cost is on the higher side compared with competitors, so it may not feel like great value for smaller firms but it really is when looking at what can be done.

### "Strong management tools "

Changing to a new case management system was always going to be challenging for staff in learning a new way of working in addition to their very busy day to day work. The last year has therefore been a learning journey but one that was supported by Leap's online training guides/videos etc. I now feel that we have a safe, reliable and comprehensive system.

Pros

As a director the most valuable aspect of Leap for me is the suite of management information reports which have enabled me to track performance, wip and billing. I find the AI tool a very helpful way to navigate around files. I am often asked to pick up a file at short notice and by asking AI to summarise the file I receive a summary of the key issues which gives me a starting point as to the documents that I need to read. It is also a time saving tool as we work mainly via email and often there are so many emails on the file it is time consuming to scroll through to find the one that is needed, I therefore use the AI tool to find the email for me, which it does. As a law firm it is vital that our data is protected and the use of European based AWS was a key factor when choosing Leap. Leap is also a stable and reliable system, our previous system, which was server based, often suffered outages and down time. We have now been using Leap for over a year and there have been no outages. As it is cloud based it is accessible which facilitates our hybrid working. Staff have also reported that they find the mobile app helpful.

Cons

As we are a legal aid firm we are unable to use the automatic time recording option. It would be good to have that ability and I understand that it is something that is in development with the Leap Team.

### "First Class Law Office Management"

Frantastic. It saves me time. It saves me irritation. I am a sole practitioner and have long done without an administrative assistant. LEAP is now my admin.

Pros

Leap has a user-friendly interface, comprehensive support material on its site, and access in real time to technical support when needed. But it is much more than a timekeeping and billing app. It is a comprehensive law office management tool. It has vastly simplified my practice. It is now longer a dreaded, tedious, chore to prepare invoices. A few simple steps, they are done. Payments are easily credited. I can call up every invoice from the client account. I can also find all correspondence and email in each client account. Am AI feature conducts research for me.

Cons

I dislike the new timesheet. It replaced one which I considered to be more intuitive. LEAPs online technical articles do not always keep up with changes made to the app.

### "Record Kepping Made Easy on LEAP "

LEAP has been great value for money. My firm transitioned to the program for the paper-based system. It has made collaboration on files more practical. We use it on the go and in court for accounting and client management.

Pros

LEAP is a secure Legal Software that my firm can trust. The customer support sent a team out to our firm to explain the program and follow up on our use. It is a highly practical management software that we can be used on a laptop, on the go, in court. Client management is made easy with all files online and available.

Cons

It can be slow at times due to the size of the application. It can also be difficult to navigate and requires quite some explanation.

### "Modern and user friendly - better than other systems"

I really enjoy using LEAP. Much easier than other systems I have used previously. Very modern and user friendly.

Pros

Easy to use and very user friendly compared to other systems I have previously used. I like the use of cards for contacts/clients and when keeping contact details up to date, everything syncs up when wanting to send letters or emails. I like that you can set each file up how you wish with different folders. Easy to drag and import files and docs from File Explorer/downloads/scans. Great use of AI assistance and I love the connection with InfoTrack/eCOS for ID/AML purposes. I also love the update of marking which emails that have been imported to LEAP with a blue mark. Before they couldn't be imported until I wanted them deleted from my mailbox which was difficult when multiple people work on the same files, therefore this new update is great.

Cons

As I work 2 days a week, it has been known to take over 24hrs for the system to catch up. For example, my colleague has put some documents into a file but they haven't appeared until a long time after, making it sometimes hard to be productive and up to date on individual files. You also cannot drag and drop documents into LEAP from emails like you can with File Explorer/downloads. LEAP can also be known to crash quiet frequently.

I FIND LEAP TO BE VERY EFFICIENT WITH QUICK ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE WHEN NEEDED. AGAIN IT IS USER FRIENDLY AND CONTAINS A GOOF BANK OF PRECEDENTS TOGETHER WITH THE ABILITY TO CUSTOMIZE MY OWN PRECEDENTS.

Pros

USER FRIENDLY WITH VERY GOOD SUPPORT SYSTEM. I HAVE LEAP SINCE I OPENED MY PRACTICE JUST OVER 3 YEARS AGO. AS A SOLE PRACTITIONER BEING ABLE TO WORK WHILE ATTENDING COURT AND WHEN OFF SITE IS HUGELY IMPORTANT.

Cons

I HAD AN INCREASE IN MY SUBSCRIPTION THAT I WAS NOT EXPECTING BEFORE CHRISTMAS HOWEVER I APPRECIATE THERE IS AN INCREASE IN COSTS FOR THE SUPPLIER

### "Leap review"

Pros

Document management and templates are what i like most about leap. Organzing documents and combining docs is very easy.

Cons

Not cloud based and not compatible with my macbook. Leap software takes up a lot of space on my PC. Wouls be nice if it were cloud based instead.

### "LEAP making work life easier"

Very positive, customizable, and user friendly. It is obvious that LEAP is committed to making work life easier!

Pros

The integration of different aspects of work ie client information, drafting of documents, emailing clients, tracking progress, diarization features, and billing.

Cons

Lacks convenience of dragging and dropping from other desktop applications. I still can't get used to the new accounting window, I much prefer the accessibility of the previous design.
