I find the template easy to work with and very intuitive. Pros I find EmailOctopus super easy to use. I can set up my newsletter quickly and I have even been able to set up some automated emails to welcome my new subscribers. Love it! Cons I struggle with the different email lists. I would like to be able to merge them and not just segment them. I have two lists that I use each month but as of right now, I have to send my newsletter out twice to get it to both lists. They make me feel like my questions are important and worthy of a prompt response/resolution. Pros The reporting that is available to view who has opened, clicked links, bounces, etc is fantastic! I also love the sample templates to give ideas on layouts and content. Cons There isn't anything I don't like about EmailOctopus. Seriously, I have been using EmailOctopus for a year now and even the things I first wished I had access to, later became a reality as the developers enhanced the platform. I was able to set up automated emails and used their tools to make great looking campaign emails. I've been very happy that I switched. Pros Email is a full value email client. They are also very very reasonable unlike most competing email clients. Cons There are no cons so far. I've enjoyed using EmailOctopus and haven't found a reason to contact them for any issues. I haven't received a single complaint from a subscriber about not receiving our emails, so this is dependable. If you have an issue or question, the customer service is excellent. Cons Their embedded forms don't allow subscribers to choose which of our emails they'd like to receive. It only allows them to subscribe to all. It has allowed me to get up and running with monthly newsletters to my readers. Pros I have zero experience in setting up a news letter. With EmailOctopus the learning curve was fast and easy. The system guides you through it, and the templates offered exactly what I was looking for. EmailOctopus makes it simple to duplicate previous campaigns and edit for the current month. I highly recommend. I'm on the free plan for now and it meets all my needs. Cons No cons for me. I'm highly satisfied. The only things that could be better would come with me switching to a paid plan, but for now, the free plan meets my needs. It has enabled us to send out a brand newsletter and was far easier to use than the competitor sites which we tried before and did not fit our requirements. More editing options and flexibility in design. Cons Could enhance creative function a little further, whilst it offers a lot of creative direction there are some more features that could be added such as making the elements of a design more easily moveable and customisable. From importing subscribers and designing newsletters, to the reliablity of the actual sending of emails. I've used EmailOctopus for 2 years and continue to find it great value in running a newsletter for my ecommerce business. Pros User interface is really nice and clean and easy to find what you need to do. Tracking clicks, unsubscribes, etc. is really helpful. Email sending has been 100% reliable. Cons Nothing of note. There are some advanced features I've seen on other products that EmailOctopus doesn't have, but nothing that would be of any value to what I use it for. It was very easy to switch from my previous provider. There were one or two things I was confused about when switching, but EmailOctopus' support articles and asking ChatGPT made that very easy and quick to figure out. Everything has gone smooth, zero issues so far! The website is great. They make things easy to figure out and understand. I'm really liking EmailOctopus! Very easy 5/5. :) Pros I like the affordability the most about EmailOctopus. I used to use another email marketing provider, but I had that old service on pause for a long time because it got too expensive. Switching to EmailOctopus was a no-brainer decision. Also I really like how EmailOctopus gives back. They donate some profits to an Ocean Conservation charity, and give discounts to non-profits. In a world where the vast majority of businesses seem to only care about making as much money as possible, it's very refreshing seeing a company do things like this, and actually makes me feel good about using their service! Also, the service provided is very good and very secure. Currently I am on the free plan, but when my email list grows, I will consider a paid plan. The data and analytics are also easy to work with. As a teacher, time is limited so this saves time and makes it easy for parents to view. I love the. schedule feature and being able to see who has or hasn't opened their email. Cons I would love to be able to add a PDF into the layout. Sometimes I have a permission slip or a flyer that I want my students' parents to see so that would be nice to add that into the template. Pros It is very user friendly and allows me to do what I need to do for our small newspaper for the appropriate fee, unlike bigger distributors that cost an arm and a leg. I have not found similar service with other platforms (I did try a few and switched for this reason). Pros As am artist and a micro-business owner I am on very limited finances. EmailOctopus was the ONLY platform I could find where a real human was willing to talk to me, help me set up an account, and trouble shoot issues with me without having a paid account. Their customer service is amazing and I plan on continuing to use EmailOctopus as I scale my business. Cons I use the platform to send an in frequent newsletter. Easy to use templates for emails, drop and drag is great for creating your own designs. Like how you can set up your own brand so it's there to use each time. Found it does what I want but in such a simple way as I was so confused when trying and using other sites. Pros Easy to use. I have tried other site before and just got completely lost and wasn't able to do what I wanted. I was recommended email octopus and straight away I found it was easy to use, great help section if I did need help, and useful set up emails which I could use as a guide when needed. Cons sometimes when uploading my own images it can be a bit slow, but im trying hard to find something negative. It's very easy to navigate and achieve great results extremely quickly! Cons There are very few downsides to Email Octopus! If there were anything, I'd like to be able to edit contacts more thoroughly after uploading them in bulk from a csv file. I recommend to any marketeer or small/medium business as a less bloated alternative. Pros The product allows my business to send 50k+ emails a month, for a low monthly cost. I like the simplicity. Other senders are bloated and high cost. The product has similarities to my own business, british, simplicity, and well built. Cons The only thing I would change is the ability to send to multiple lists at a time / with de-dupping. But no biggie. September 25, 2025 5.0 It's been a big learning-curve for me, and I cannot fault the help and support I've received from them over the past several years. Pros I use Email Octopus to send out monthly newsletters. I'm no techy and initially found it challenging to set up but the support team were so helpful that I was up-and-running very quickly. That was several years ago, but I still quite often find myself struggling and reach out for support. The response is always very fast, and their patience is seemingly inexhaustible! Cons I can't think of anything I can criticise or would change because I recognise that I'm the one with the problem, not them!
