December 11, 2024 5.0 it was great. very easy to use and very cheap. those were the major wins for me. the monetization features of some competitors and such were not as important for me at the time. volume of followers for a cheap price was the major selling point Pros i liked the affordability of the service the most. i had a list of about 3-4k but didn't need all the bells and whistles of some other services. this was the perfect solution for my needs. Cons i couldn't figure out how to use the api service of the platform. there was a lot of content that i needed to programmatically input into the campaigns but i couldn't figure out how to. that led to me spending a lot more time than i wanted on content creation that i would have preferred just coding. i think i'll try it out again now that i see a v2 api now. We are utilising the email marketing and hope to start email campaigns very soon. We are also able to take advantage of the data management components, allowing us to keep track of our donors, volunteers, and students for individualized campaign marketing opportunities. Pros EmailOctopus is a great and flexible platform that has worked well for my small but growing organization. The User Interface is friendly and very easy to navigate. I also like that they have tier packages, so when our time comes to graduate from free, we have options, making it a great start-up value for the money. Cons Thus far, I have not encountered any obstacles with EO that I haven't been able to find a workaround for or received support and excellent help with. I think they hit a sweet spot that the larger alternatives have given up. I've already recommended Email Octopus to others for this very reason. Pros Reasonable price structure and easy to use. Really good value and it provides everything you need for email campaigns. Cons No cons so far, although something broke in my subscriber list that I have to figure out what happened. I found EmailOctopus as a suggested alternative and have not looked back. I have found the platform easy to navigate, and love the simplicity of it. I have been able to create clean and professional looking emails to send out. I find that the free service of EmailOctopus provides everything I need, unlike other platforms that lock customisable features behind paywalls. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to send bulk emails with a minimalist aesthetic. Cons At the beginning, I was receiving too many emails, but they can limit the number they send, so there are no complaints. I thought the lower price meant diminished features, but that is not the case. The response time to my questions was very fast and I got everything I needed! Pros It was so easy to navigate and gave thorough step by step directions on how to set up the emails. The templates already given were super helpful as well for someone like me who doesn't have that creative tech eye for things like this. Each week I am able to create an email chain in less than 10 minutes and set it up to be sent. It's great! Cons I don't want to pay for an upgrade to send more emails. Would recommend to every business founder or marketing head to use. Pros The UI is very easy to use and the insights i get from my mails are next level. The developer API integration is also convenient and the fact that almost everything is programmable makes my work very easy. Cons There are limited features when it comes to making content, for example in text editing i cannot align my content elements freely and have to follow a strict pattern set by the software. Now it might be due to the way the editor is designed but if a little bit more freedom could be given it would be awesome.
