I had to leave Aweber because their costs were too expensive. Pros I like that I can have a high subscriber count for the free version (because I'm not currently making any money off my list) and I like that I can refer a friend for account credits. Cons I can't think of anything right now. So far a great experience and I'm glad EmailOctopus has a reasonable free account option. This feature was very visual and very intuitive. Cons Personally I feel there was a slim selection of templates. Most programs will offer 400+, but this one offers fewer. Cons My literal only gripe would be figuring out how to set up my custom website email to send the newsletters from. But that has nothing to do with EmailOctopus, and entirely a problem with my domain provider. But I still figured it out, and my emails send out amazingly now! It's incredibly easy to use, affordable, and perfect for small businesses or creatives like me. The automation features save so much time, and their support team is always quick and helpful. Highly recommend if you're looking for a no-fuss, reliable email marketing platform! Pros Easy to use. Once i manually added all my email's (this can be also imported but i didnt have them to import) it was the click of a few buttons and id emailed 50 people. Extremely competitive pricing. Cons The email designer could use a little bit more work. There are some paddings that do not end up in the actual email if you leave out empty columns in a row. For the most part, the email designer is great. I like having detailed reports. Cons I wish there was more flexibility in the layout. Sometimes it gets restrictive to only have the option to choose 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns in a block, especially since you can't adjust their widths. This might reflect my lack of knowledge, but I also find it difficult to align objects. For example, if I'm using a 2-column row with a photo in the left column and text in the right column, the two columns will usually have different heights. I have to manually adjust the padding until they appear to be aligned in the middle. If there's a way to do that automatically, that would be great!
