I just hope my books succeed so my email list can grow! Pros I like how intuitive it is to use. I've never email marketed anything before and the steps were so easy. I've slowly started building an email list as a self-published author. I would recommend to anyone building an email list! Cons It would be nice if the design stage of a subscribe integration was easier to make. But I'm sure that's difficult programming. December 12, 2024 5.0 I've tried email marketing platforms that were expensive and much more difficult to set up. EmailOctopus has everything you need, in a very clean user interface and very reasonable pricing. Pros Email Octopus is SO EASY to use. I had campaigns up and running quickly, and I have very little prior email marketing experience. Easy, but still powerful, with great reporting, and outstanding customer service (the product didn't need help, I did). Cons I honestly can't think of any cons. Some may not like that there are fewer design templates than some email marketing systems provide. Personally, I consider that a plus, as there's less to wade through. Plus, it's quite simple to design your own. Implementing a feature to manage and categorize templates would streamline the process for me to handle multiple campaigns more effectively. I particularly appreciate the responsiveness of the entire support team. Pros The support team is incredibly responsive at EmailOctopus. A company may have a good product. However, without a good team behind the scenes answering questions and providing necessary support, a product can only be as good as the level of customer service. The platform is super user-friendly – I can easily customise the templates to fit my website and within 10 mins or so, I can send an email to all my subscribers. To top it all off, their support team is always helpful and seem to always be online! Cons It would be fantastic to have a built-in option for sending birthday emails to my customers automatically. Instead, we recommend sending from an email address under your own domain, which you can authenticate, ensuring better security, deliverability and overall results. That said, you can, of course, still use your Gmail address to send emails through EmailOctopus – we're set up to send from any kind of email address you can verify. It's just not something we'd particularly recommend from the customer success point of view. Easy to use and set up and lots of attention from them to check I was getting everything sorted out. Cons Its not a major thing but it would be great to have an app so I can get updates on my mobile too. I can have an email ready to go out in just a few minutes. It's also easy to see my reports and see who has opened and clicked on our emails. Pros It's easy to use and right now, we have everything we need in the free version. Cons I haven't figured out yet how to manage my email subscribers efficiently. There's a few I would like to remove (obviously outside the US for a US company, haven't opened an email in years, etc). Last time I tried, it took longer than I wanted.
