I'm also very fond of the fact EmailOctopus respects the privacy of my followers. It really helps build trust with my audience. December 12, 2024 5.0 I've tried email marketing platforms that were expensive and much more difficult to set up. EmailOctopus has everything you need, in a very clean user interface and very reasonable pricing. Pros Email Octopus is SO EASY to use. I had campaigns up and running quickly, and I have very little prior email marketing experience. Easy, but still powerful, with great reporting, and outstanding customer service (the product didn't need help, I did). Cons I honestly can't think of any cons. Some may not like that there are fewer design templates than some email marketing systems provide. Personally, I consider that a plus, as there's less to wade through. Plus, it's quite simple to design your own. However, without a good team behind the scenes answering questions and providing necessary support, a product can only be as good as the level of customer service. So in the case of EmailOctopus, excellent product, and even more excellent service and support. I highly recommend EmailOctopus. Cons None that I can think of right now. The platform is super user-friendly – I can easily customise the templates to fit my website and within 10 mins or so, I can send an email to all my subscribers. To top it all off, their support team is always helpful and seem to always be online! Cons It would be fantastic to have a built-in option for sending birthday emails to my customers automatically. They seem to proactively care about what they are doing and about managing emails in an ethical way. Pros EmailOctopus donates to ocean conservation causes and seems significantly more ethical in its overall behavior than many other email subscription providers. Cons I don't really see any problems with EmailOctopus itself yet, but I am having difficulty getting human viewers to may site and subscriptions. Pros Easy to use with great customer service. Cons The only thing I didn't like is that it doesn't recommend using gmail or any free email as the sending account. Indeed, we don't recommend using Gmail or any other free email address for sending bulk emails. This is because these kinds of email addresses are not meant for this purpose. Instead, we recommend sending from an email address under your own domain, which you can authenticate, ensuring better security, deliverability and overall results. That said, you can, of course, still use your Gmail address to send emails through EmailOctopus – we're set up to send from any kind of email address you can verify. It's just not something we'd particularly recommend from the customer success point of view.
