Overall, Alayacare is a big help to me as it helps me keep track of the invoices I have sent and also prevents me from double-billing visits.

Pros

I like the efficiency and the organization of Alayacare and now it is broken down into sections, that it is User-friendly, and compiles all patient information in one place.

Cons

Sometimes the nurse experiences glitches in the app while filling out their forms and the note is unable to be recovered in the failed uploads section, causing the nurse to do double work.

Data Exploration 2.0: able to track clients/employees/services info. Scheduling, billing, and payroll are integrated and easy to use. The user-friendly interface ensures that staff can navigate through the system without much training or difficulty.

Cons

Less focused on employees side than customers. Lag or Delays: The platform may experience occasional delays when loading pages, especially when dealing with large datasets or complex reports.

My experience has been moderate. The support staff has been wonderful, however they also don't know the workflows of a children's treatment centre and so there has been a LOT of rework and stress

Pros

I like the ease of using the interface, and that multiple windows can be open.

Cons

I have really struggled as a Children's treatment Centre because the software is not designed for our usage. We have had to re-invent entire workflows to fit within this model, rather than having the software work for us in the most efficient way.

Alayacare has helped our organization to scale up quickly and efficiently. We're able to use reports to watch trends, and use Alayacare to present information to our funders along the way as well. It's been an amazing asset to our company!

Pros

I love the ease of information sharing amongst our field staff and back end office users. We can share data and client information within seconds which has been entirely life changing for our organization!

Cons

Ticket submission can be slow at times, however a resolution is always presented!

I am still learning and looking forward to attending the conference and learning more from fellow users in different ways. I love technology and myself and a colleague are pushing to try and add the Connector and Family Portal to our services in the near future so my overall experience has been positive thus far.

Pros

I came from zero background in health software so have nothing to compare to, but I can say that AlayaCare is very user friendly to use and the support through Zendesk is fantastic and relatively fast.

Cons

There are many things that could be done to make AlayaCare better for day to day use. One hurdle I recently discovered the hard way as this was not informed to us by anyone, nor is there any information on Zendesk is when you hide a service on a client profile and then later on discharge the client completely, we have learned the hard way that if the client returns and we have to place them back to active, the hidden service cannot no matter what be UNHIDDEN. You can unhide a service if the client is active, but if they are discharged whether intentionally or by accident, you will not be able to unhide the service and this is very unfortunate. I think AlayaCare should also provide clients who are paying quite a lot of money each month to use the application more allowances and features to personalize our version. For example, under Client Demographics, we should be able to add a new section, or rename sections. Instead of Funding and Billing we should be able to change the name of the section, and the Additional Info section, we should have the capacity to add more than a photo.

It has been good and see the effort put in to speed up activities and upgrade to high end systems. But reporting is still a week link. 1 - because of primitive system, 2 - less training given during implementation, 3 - Not much of articles or report generation exercises in the Zendesk portal. Report generation can play a major role in any user deciding on the platform and if that is made easy and user friendly there will be more takers.

Pros

The easiness with which client profile can be created & their data captured

Cons

The limitation of 5000 data entries while generating reports. Too many add ons like ACC, Looker etc which could be merged and AlayaCare should handle queries directly instead of we sending it to you, and in turn you sending it to the agencies to address them

While the path hasn't always been smooth, the experience has been invaluable, and our partnership has strengthened as a result. Today, we find ourselves in a much better place, with things improving significantly and our collaboration thriving. Pros

What we appreciate most about AlayaCare is the extensive range of options it offers for managing a healthcare business, along with its continuous growth and innovation. This combination of flexibility and forward momentum makes it an invaluable tool for adapting to the ever-evolving demands of the industry.

Cons

One of the challenges we've observed is that they often move on to developing new tools and offerings before perfecting the existing ones. While innovation is important, it sometimes feels like the potential of the older offerings is overlooked. These tools have a lot of value and could greatly benefit from further refinement and enhancements. It would be encouraging to see more focus on improving what’s already in place, ensuring that the foundational aspects of the system are as strong and effective as possible before expanding into new areas.

Billing and payroll. Regarding payroll: payrate variation by client is not accommodated. Regarding billing: Billing detail is inadequate. Regarding both billing and payroll, export to QB is required for accounting purposes

Overall I still love AlayaCare and would choose it again!

Pros

AlayaCare makes scheduling a breeze! Its simple and quick. We don't have to make those pesky phone calls to staff and get the feeling were inconveniencing them instead, we just send the offers through AlayaCare and wait for their response.

Cons

AlayaCare tends to be difficult for caregivers to log into at times. We're constantly having to tell them to delete the app and redownload it. More so with iphone uses than Android.

Cons

While it is very helpful to have descriptions when applying unavailability, it would be incredibly helpful to have this feature for availability. Family portal access is also quite buggy.

Overall system is easy to navigate. I really like the reporting capabilities as they save me a lot of time.

Pros

Data Explorer 2.0 reporting is easy to use and comprehensive. I like the dashboard display options. The ability to add custom fields in some of the areas like demographics for both employees and clients, client contacts and service to name a few is great! The means to report on those custom fields makes all the difference. The capability to build custom forms help us with our customized workflows.

Cons

Reporting on Forms is very cumbersome and in many cases not possible. It would be great to have Data Explorer updated to the studio version for more calculation options. Our staff use the field portal role for privacy reasons and are self scheduling. It would be nice if they had the ability to add the facility on the mobile app and be able to modify the facility on the web version.

A dedicated page to discuss only the new web/app version release would be beneficial. It can become confusing when there is a new version release, such as searching for dates, times, and content details of that new release.

Very good. We have been a user since 2016/17 and seen AC grow significantly in this period. Staff are very appraochable and engaged. We have naturally observed improvements along with losses during the 7+ years. Any losses can mostly be attributed to the growth in the industry. Congratulations for that!

Pros

Simple to use for scheduling of staff and client services Great to be able to use the system for assessments e.g. interRAI CHA

Cons

The software is utilized by many different sectors. it would be most ideal if the packages were customizable to the sector. Some reports and data still needs to be obtained through other means e.g. manual

Overall, it works for us. We are still learning all the features the system has

Pros

AlayaCare offers different features such as changing templates on invoice, batch emails, setting service codes and other features to make our billing and scheduling user friendly.

Cons

There are some bugs in AlayaCare. We create tickets in Zendesk to work these out. Some bugs include the rate not initially appearing on the invoice until we regenerate it. Also, dates of services on the schedule sometimes do not match the invoice.
