I have used this software for the last ten years. I would recommend it to anybody in the Massage business.

Pros

Customer service was excellent. Every time I’ve called they’ve been able to answer my issues. Their agents are extremely knowledgeable with their software and integrating it with my website.

Cons

I dont like the referral option. They cannot distinguish which clients are actually coming from searching from my website or word-of-mouth.

MassageBook is pure oxygen to my bodywork business. The tools and support save me dozens of administrative hours per month, and allow me to focus on client appointments. In the two years I've been with MassageBook, I've been able to increase my income by up to 50%, while spending 50% less time on the (unpaid) business end of maintaining my business. MassageBook is a 5-star, return-on-investment must-have for every serious massage therapist who wants a thriving practice.

Pros

The booking system, the eblast marketing, and even flagging opportunities making it such an overall well-rounded business tool. The dynamite customer service team tips it over the edge into an absolute must-have for my business.

Cons

Having accurate dashboard metrics would be awesome (eblast open category; month's revenue; ranking, etc.).

Switched from

[Constant Contact](https://www.capterra.com/p/31898/Constant-Contact/)

A colleague referred me, and I was getting tired of having to manage (babysit) others that couldn't get the work done on time/as expected. Now, MassageBook's emails and text reminders and clients booking their own sessions -- and I crank out a quick eblast -- and I don't manage "employee" (parental) headaches anymore, it's far more efficient, financially and time-wise. Thanks!!!

Since I've been with over 10 years, I pretty much know everything. They have very good customer service. I need booking, credit card processing, intake form, SOAP note, gift card sales, customer support, reporting, marketing, packages, texting, reminders, multiple massage therapists' access, and MassageBook does it all, and I get a discount with ABMP.

Pros

It has all the features massage therapists and businesses need at a reasonable price. I love the fact that they don't charge for multiple staff members, and that really helps. In this business, we have many people working part-time, and if I have to pay the fee for someone who hardly gets any appointments, it's tough.

Cons

When I have to pay my staff, MassageBook makes it difficult and takes longer than it should. The marketing tool is very outdated, and I hope they can update it.

I absolutely love their customer service. Also my clients like being able to handle all the scheduling themselves.

Pros

I love that I can easily keep up with SOAP notes thanks to the reminders after each session. Booking is easy for me and for clients.

Cons

The app doesn’t give access to the client account history/information so I have to go to my computer to do anything like a credit or adjustment.

I’ve been using MassageBook since 2016 for my massage therapy practice, and it has become an important part of running my business efficiently. The online booking system is easy for clients to use, appointment reminders help reduce no-shows, and the intake forms and SOAP note features help keep client information organized in one place. I also appreciate being able to customize services, availability, and automated communications to better fit the needs of my practice. One of the biggest benefits has been giving clients the ability to book appointments anytime without needing to text or call back and forth. The platform has also continued to evolve over time with added features and integrations. Like any software, there are occasional limitations or learning curves with updates, but overall it has been a valuable tool for helping me manage scheduling, client communication, and day-to-day operations as an independent massage therapist. I would recommend it to massage therapists looking for an all-in-one practice management and booking solution.

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of MassageBook is their customer service. In my experience, their support team has been responsive, professional, and genuinely helpful when issues arise or questions come up. I also appreciate that the platform continues to evolve. They regularly roll out enhancements and improvements, and it feels like they do listen to feedback from massage therapists and wellness professionals using the software day to day. The system combines scheduling, intake forms, SOAP notes, reminders, online booking, and client management into one platform, which helps streamline operations for a small business. Clients also tend to find the booking process easy and convenient, which has been a major benefit for my practice.

Cons

The biggest limitations for me are on the marketing and communication side of the platform. The email campaign editor is functional, but it feels more limited compared to dedicated email marketing platforms. Formatting options and design flexibility can be restrictive, especially when trying to create more polished or branded campaigns. I also wish there were more detailed email analytics available. It would be helpful to see exactly which clients are opening emails, engaging with campaigns, or unsubscribing so communication strategies could be adjusted more effectively. Another feature I would love to see added is built-in text marketing or SMS campaigns. Automated appointment reminders are great, but having the ability to send targeted promotional or wellness text campaigns directly through the platform would make it feel more like a complete client communication system.

For a small massage therapy business this software is great for booking and tracking appointments at a great price. If you want lots of bells and whistles like payroll and room occupancy rates, this is not for you.

Pros

MassageBook is easy to use for a multi therapist practice. You can quickly tell what therapist, which room and what service.

Cons

There are a few glitches like when you run a sales report by therapist it shows when the client booked and pre-paid and then shows the client on the day of appointment as "free" but counts it as two sessions.

It has been pretty seamless. On the off occasion that I can't figure out a procedure, I always get prompt, courteous service from the representatives when I call.

Pros

The ease of use and customer service are the most attractive elements. Also the online booking, website integration and the ability to have memberships and sell gc's is also great.

Cons

I can't think of anything I don't like about the software. Everything has worked really well for my small business without being overly complicated.

I used it for years, and appreciated the growth they had and helped with my business. The listened to feedback and made appropriate changes and improvements.

Pros

It as all of the features to run a small massage therapy practice. It is geared towards and developed by massage therapists.

Cons

Massagebook did not have all of the membership options that I wanted for the growth of my business. The fees associated with using Square for payments was high, especially for memberships.

Overall I feel that it is a good value for a professional massage therapist. I needed a service that was an all-in-one package and this is just what i was looking for.

Pros

I like the prepay options and the customer support as well as the mobile app and website. It is perfect for a massage professional on the go. There is a seamless payment processing system that helps me keep track of my business. A great value for the money.

Cons

I've noticed one or two bugs here and there but the support staff is quick and helpful. It is a complex software with a learning curve, but once you get the hang of how it works it gets easier.
