Pros

There are so many options to help massage therapists manage their business. While I don't use most of what they offer due to a lack of motivation to 'learn how', the opportunities are there, if I want to.

Cons

I'm sure there is something, but honestly, I can't put my finger on anything specific, at the moment.

Online scheduling is the biggest benefit. I also love the client list/addresses all in one place, and the ability to sell gift certificates online.

Pros

The online scheduling is easy to use for my clients and for me. I love the options to allow gift certificates to be purchased and to prepay for the massage - or not. The ability to complete SOAP notes and daily bookkeeping are also very helpful.

Cons

I still have a lot to learn in order to use all the features. It's not a real problem, as there are tutorials listed and the support staff is very quick to help, but the list of tutorials is a bit overwhelming for a busy sole proprietor.

Overall, it is great. I’m not sure if I need this yet, but I don’t mind trying out for awhile.

Pros

I like that it walks me through my set up. I also like that customer service is quick to respond with concerns you have.

Cons

Well, I teach fitness so I would have liked to integrate registering for my programs with this system so clients can sign up for classes. Not available now, maybe in the future.

Pros

Scheduling, email and text reminders. Daily sync to my google calendar and gift certificate sales I don't have to create.

Cons

Sometimes it is buggy, after updates. Not always a clear solution to a problem. The software support is extremely slow. The new updates take a long time to launch.

Client data base tracking is great. Offers all the criteria options I want to catalog and can upload into CV file to integrate with other software.

Pros

The price! Free is helpful when starting a new business. Great way to start your client data base and keep track of schedule.

Cons

Difficulty getting other therapist active. I had to take time to go into the system with them to click all the boxes etc. Wish they partnered with squareup for processing.

Ease of booking appointments, great website design, allows for clients to book online, it prompts for reviews, and even let's me send out specials, eliminating my need for 3rd party email marketing software.

Cons

I believe some aspects are still in development, so I have to get a little creative to book couples massages.

Pros

The progress note section allows note taking and making basic notes on illustrations - lines & circles with font color options.

Cons

They are more user error issues, but I often forget, after writing notes - while still seeing a client - to remember to come back to the note and save it - before the system times me out and I loose my notes.

The online scheduling, paperless intake form and soap notes.

Cons

Clients have to go through email to fill out intake forms. I find this nice for those that prebook and are computer friendly. But this is a hassle for walk-ins, last minute bookings, and the person who isn't tech savvy or uses email. There should be a feature in the app that allows a client to complete the intake form when they arrive for their appointment. They shouldn't have to log into their email to fill out their paperwork. Right now I am on the free 30 day trial, to see how I like it. The only reason I would pay for it is if they changed this feature, otherwise I will most likely look into another software or use the free feature for online booking and soap notes. I would hate to have half of my clients intake online and the other half, the old school paper way. I need to have it one way or the other.

I STARTED AS \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] to make a trial and se how it works. After get my licensed I decided to start my business with Massage Book and I can access from my cellphone, book appointments and see availability. It is easy to fill the SOAP note, edit, upload documents, etc.

Pros

EASY TO USE AND TO CONFIGURATE YOUR BUSINESS. I LOVE HOW TO DO MY SOAP NOTES AND UPLOAD DOCUMENT TO THE CLIENT RECORD

Cons

I DONT HAVE ANY COMPARISSON REFERENCE TO SAY WHAT I LIK LEAST ABOUT MASSAGE BOOK.

Not having to have paper files. I also love having the email and text reminders sent to my clients, this frees up a ton of time for me. Coworkers at the DC office have complained of it not saving their notes. I'm not sure why this happens at his office and not at my private office.

Pros

The fact that it's paperless, and so easy to use. I have had no complaints to date about this software.

I have/pay for the highest level offered and i love that the chat gives me access to competent people that don't give me the run around. They know the answers or find them quickly.

Pros

The flexibility of multi employees and multi rooms without worrying about double booking.

I really haven't found anything that doesn't work for me with this system.

Pros

As massage book is strictly for massage therapists they have that going for them. And they have an app.

Cons

Eeh. Yeh it is customizable but barely. There's no real way to do add-on services. Their email features can be tweaked to a point but not to the point of matching your own brand. The calendar view of the app is a nightmare

Since I am just starting my own business, MassageBook has taken a lot of frustration away. The program is all inclusive. Not only is the website extremely easy to set up, I love the online booking, the automated emails, the promotional templates, and so many more features that have allowed me to spend more time focusing on other areas of starting a new business.

Pros

The thing I like most about MassageBook is that it is very user friendly. It is extremely easy to understand and use.

Cons

The only problem I have had is the FaceBook connect feature. With being said, MassageBook is aware of the problem and is currently seeking to resolve the issue. FaceBook upgraded their product so in turn MassageBook is updating their software.

I love their customer service. 15/10 is my happiness level with them. They called me to see how I liked their software, they asked me what they could do to help run my business, they asked me how things were going during the COVID epidemic, they called me when I wasn't understanding something via the chat service. I can't say enough for their customer service. Striving for excellence is definitely a top priority for them and they do just that!

Pros

The integration of intake forms, SOAP notes, schedule, and check out in one place makes the administrative side of my job so much easier.

Cons

It is easy to accidentally get on the wrong day when booking an appointment. Could just as easily be operator error as I'm not the most techy person.

I started with the free version of MassageBook when I first opened my practice. It was important to me to have clients be able to create and edit their appointments themselves because I'm not able to answer my phone while I'm in session. The initial setup what somewhat confusing but there are videos that walk you through everything so that was nice. It was somewhat time consuming to do because I had to set up both the business and my personal even though the information was a little redundant since I am the business and the therapist. After that set up it's been really easy to use. There are definitely features I wish it had (coupon codes, shareable packages, an iphone/android app since it's WAY too big for my iPhone 5C to run most of the time, more editable intake forms, etc) but all in all I loved it so much that I went from using the free version to the clinical and it is worth every penny of the $25/mo. I've had three issues since using that I've had to contact customer support for and each time they resolve my problem quickly and better than I expected. Updates and improvements are happening all the time. You can really tell that it's run by a small team that really understands what a business owner needs from scheduling software. Thank you MassageBook Team, you are great <3

My emails came in code. It took me many hours to switch over. Then I realized if I told my friend to schedule withe online for the first time. They would take 15%. After a month of 6 new clients, all from me,that cost me $90 extra. Slick trick, changed back to my old one immediatly

Nathan, I'm sorry to hear your experience with MassageBook wasn't what you expected. It's really a shame, because a quick call, email or live chat with us could have saved you this trouble. I think it's important for everyone to understand exactly what happens when a NEW client finds your practice through the MassageBook directory: 1) You always have the option to not accept new clients from MassageBook (while still accepting new clients from other sources) OR to even be listed on the MassageBook directory. 2) ONLY when the MassageBook directory sends you a NEW client is there a one-time 15% fee for the service amount. 3) The way we determine whether it's a new client is to check your client database in MassageBook for a match. If we see a match, we know it's not a new client - and no fee applies. (It's easy to upload or add your existing clients to MassageBook) 4) You can easily dispute any new client fee from within the software if there's ever any question.

Less time on back office=more time on clients. I have grown with having online booking. before, i would lose the customer because someone would call to schedule while i was in session with someone else. no message left and no appointment made. Less paper as i now have electronic soap notes that are very easy

It covers all my needs. Scheduling, gift certificates, soap notes, etc. Clients are happy because the online booking is super user friendly

Cons

needs some improvements...I will wait it out and see what happens
