I have really enjoyed the switch to Workiz. The cost is a great value for the money. Invoicing customers is very easy and can be sent via email and SMS texting which is a great feature. Payments are secure and the scheduling of appointments and overall management of customers is super easy.

Pros

Workiz is really simple to use and the learning curve is not very long. Once you identify the process its the same for every Home Services business. You'll really enjoy how easy it is

Cons

I think the filed app can be made a bit more visually user friendly to show the customer BUT for the field techs it is supper easy to use.

### "Workiz – Poor Experience, Lacking Support"

Throughout the last year, we were assigned roughly six different account managers. Only two or three of them formally introduced themselves. In most cases, we didn’t even know our account manager had changed until we needed support and discovered someone new was assigned to us. Our biggest ongoing issue was with the phone system. For the entirety of our time with Workiz, we dealt with calls coming in where we would hear hold music, but no one was on the other end. We reported this multiple times, but support consistently told us nothing was wrong. After realizing Workiz wasn’t the right fit, we made the decision not to renew. We reached out proactively to our account manager, \[sensitive content hidden\] asking to be downgraded to the Lite plan to allow us time to port our phone numbers and transfer our data before the contract ended. That didn’t happen. Instead, our account was fully deactivated—cutting off access to our phone lines, app, and all client data. We emailed \[sensitive content hidden\] immediately, but this happened on a Friday. On Saturday, I called Workiz support 71 times before finally getting through to someone. They told me no one who could help would be available until Monday. On the fifth, everything was restored—but only after over 100 calls, follow-up emails, and unnecessary delays. I’m writing this because I believe in transparency, and I wouldn’t want another small business to go through the same thing. Other frustrations we experienced include: No unlimited phone plan – Most FSM platforms offer this. Workiz doesn’t, even though it’s one of the most requested features. Limited automations – Even on the Ultimate plan, you were still limited to a certain number of automatons you could set up. Unreliable mobile app – The app frequently froze or crashed, requiring us to force close and restart regularly. In short, Workiz might work for some businesses, but based on our experience, we cannot recommend it.

Pros

Workiz, like any other FSM, makes client interactions easy. I also liked the ease of use of the product and how we could minimize the number of software we needed to use in order to complete projects.

Cons

It is difficult to get a hold of customer support, and when you do, they are limited to what they can help you with. There is a lack of accountability when they make errors, and it seem they are in no rush to fix them when you reach out.

### "USE ANY OTHER CRM "

They take your money, then the support is non existent. We have been waiting over a week to get a support response and a call back. The people we communicate with via email just keep giving responses like, we will have someone contact your back in 1-2 days. I got one call back and the guy could not even tell who was in charge of my account. He kept trying to refer me to the onboarding trainer who had already told me he didn't manage my account. They have over $4000 from us and we are not in anyway confident that we want to grow a business using this platform. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I am a part of nearly every social media HVAC contractors group out there and have contributed significantly over the years. I will warn everyone that asks about CRMS ( daily occurrence) to turn and run away from Workiz. DO THE RIGHT THING, GIVE ME A REFUND, AND LET ME GO TO SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. We have not been with the business even a month since we launched. I couldn't imagine how terrible it will be as we grow.

### "Workiz – Deceptive, Inconvenient, and Full of Hidden Fees"

Workiz is the worst CRM I have ever used. They don’t honor their agreements – they promise one thing, but in reality, it’s all a scam. They offered a 30-day trial with a money-back guarantee, but when I tried to contact an agent to cancel, no one responded. The time passed, and now canceling is a nightmare. You can’t do it through your account—you have to call or email, but that doesn’t work either. Support says that cancellations are handled by a special department that is “very busy” (probably because they have too many cancellations to process, which is the only believable thing about this company). 🔴 Unreasonably expensive system – CRM + phone service costs around $400 per month. The phone service alone costs $100 but only includes 1,500 SMS messages. I used up the entire limit in two weeks—during the slowest season! After that, each SMS costs $0.01. In peak months, I need 4,000-6,000 more SMS messages, which means an extra $40-60 per month. 🔴 Issues with online booking – Customers immediately see a service fee in the booking system, even if they later choose a payment method that doesn’t require one. The only way to remove this fee is to completely disable card payment fees, which means you have to cover all transaction costs yourself. Because of this, my online booking conversion rate dropped significantly, costing me thousands of dollars in lost revenue. 🔴 Appointment rescheduling is a disaster – If a client requests to reschedule, the system does not notify them, and there’s no way to automate this process. This is ridiculous in 2024. 🔴 Their “smart” answering system is a joke – Genius Answering (Jessica) can’t even tell customers the prices of your services, yet it costs $200 per month! I have another AI agent for $9 per month that does far more—it provides pricing information and can even book appointments independently. 🔴 "Jessica" can’t be customized – You can’t change her name or voice. So, if a customer calls a competitor who also uses Workiz, they’ll hear the exact same “Jessica” answering the phone. Great way to lose brand identity. Workiz is a service that charges you at every step, performs poorly, and has an endless list of issues. I do NOT recommend it!

Absolutely nothing. Overpriced, poorly designed, and full of hidden fees. Worst CRM experience ever.

### "Functional But Newer"

Overall, the concept is definitely a great business move- to have all you need for business in one app: phone, messaging, automations, invoicing, tech assignment, etc. is very convenient! With them being a fairly new company, they just have some bugs and glitches to work out.

It offers multiple features helpful to all businesses such as phone service as well as CRM services, which include automations- super helpful for any business!

Cons

The phone service is only web based- so you’re relying on an app for all calls and we have experienced several dysfunctions using the app for this.

Horrible, lies, and deceiving! I signed up with this company for the "Lite" version as a business phone number when I'm just starting out, worked for about 2 weeks, & then got complaints of calls not going through to only be told that phone calls aren't part of the lite version. Tried getting me to buy their product as they can't offer it in the lite version. Over 500 business cards printed with the phone # to be given the run around & it's a "human error"

We have been loyal customers of Workiz for years, subscribing to their premium package. Unfortunately, we’ve encountered significant issues with their support and customer service recently. Our online booking form has been malfunctioning for over 72 hours, causing us to lose 50% of our traffic. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, our emails are ignored, and customer service only responds with vague promises of future assistance. Not overall impressed with the customer support. I think the software is getting worse and worse with bugs and updates.

Pros

It's does the basic scheduling and invoicing feature ok. Its been getting worse.

Cons

The customer support takes a month. \[sensitive content hidden\], Customer Success Team Lead, is very unresponsive. Took a whole month to try to get a refund. I asked to change to a monthly. They still charged me $3000+ for the yearly plan. There expensive for the phone services which doesn't even connect with calls to well.

Money is essential life blood for Business, However, There should always be a "Care Factor" for its customers. Money should NEVER come before CARE, It should come after. WorkIZ portrays a Caring attitude for the businesses it sells its software to, But their ACTIONS suggest differently. Money Definitely comes first........Comes out the first of every month at 7am actually. If there happens to not be enough money in the account, THEY RESTRICT ACCESS. This means that I must then Make a paper copy of new work orders that come in, and simply have no access to answer customer inquires on existing work orders. I must then look extremely unprofessional and tell them I do not know any details concerning your repair until I collect checks to cover the cost of my software, might take a few days to answer your question. MIND YOU, I HAD THE MONEY TO COVER THE COST IN CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS IN WORKIZ PAY!!!!! This was prior to the "instant Transfers", however. They have now given me the option of instant transfers, BUT I'M SEEING ISSUES WITH THAT. Customer paid me nearly $700.00 for the repair of a washer and dryer \[sensitive content hidden\] , in the early afternoon time. I told her I would be able to order her parts out of that money because my software now offers instant transfers and get the job done by \[sensitive content hidden\]. I contacted them at \[sensitive content hidden\] to inquire as to why they have not been released. My parts supplier closes at \[sensitive content hidden\] and don't open again until monday

WorkIZ "Claims" to be diligent on adding features, and they do add lots of features all the time. Most of which consists of things that make something or another more convenient to use or navigate. I have asked them to add a "Paid Date" filter option to the sales report for accounting purposes OVER a year ago. As it now stands, I can only filter the sales report by JOB. As a result, I have been sending the IRS inaccurate monthly and quarterly reports for most of 2022. Reason being, for my specific issue, I rarely create a job, complete it, and get paid on it in the same month. I get paid for 80% of my jobs on a NET 30 basis, I simply cannot filter the report by the Job, It MUST be filtered by the date I collected the payment. Sounds like an easily resolved issue, Right? Even if it is a feature that only a handful of customers will benefit from, this is a HIGH PRIORITY deal. Not something that makes something easier. As a result of them refusing to add the feature, I now must go through EVERY SINGLE job and manually pull out the accurate numbers the IRS requires of me........This is my Biggest complaint that is causing me such a headache with the IRS.

No. I never researched the alternatives. I was letting my assistant go and was in need of something better than Excell spreadsheets ASAP. I became unhappy with workIz for reasons described in review and concluded that nearly 2 years worth of jobs, pics, and info would have to be transferred......Either back to excell or to another platform. WorkIZ does not offer any Good way to accomplish this. They will do an excell comma value sheet for the clients and their info........But no way to get all the reports and pics transferred over except manually. Why would they offer a good way to accomplish this? Now that I understand The motivation behind WorkIZ, Wayyyy on the money side. What I have come to realize in business is that if you actually CARE about what you do and who you do it for, Money will flow abundantly with less resistance. I am simply stuck with workIZ , not willing to manually transfer everything over somewhere else. If you are a start up company especially, consider all I've written in my review. Jobber seems to do everything workIZ does for less cost. Excell spreadsheets actually got me by for the first 5 years, if you have knowledge of how to operate.

### "Workiz is a game changer in CRM"

Fantastic software. Fantastic customer support. I recommend Workiz to other businesses every chance I get.

Pros

Workiz makes it simple to run a business. From CRM, and scheduling, to invoicing and payment. Our clients love the added communication this software provides to them. Staff is always happy to help with questions. Many popular 3rd party software sync is supported, such as Quickbooks Online, Mailchimp, credit card payment services, and more. Workiz is an absolute must if your operating a professional service business.

Cons

The one feature I wish Mobile had, that the website does, it the ability to block time off from the schedule from the app. I have to open up Workiz.com from my mobile browser to have access to this feature.

Reason for choosing Workiz

This choice was originally made primarily because an outside call center (JRA - Junk Removal Authority), uses Workiz to input leads and jobs directly to our schedule. Our experience with Workiz over the last 2 years has shown this product to be the right product for not only our company, but for the service industry in general.

I would say overall would never come back to utilize the service. I've utilized plenty of different softwares and this used to be great when it was SendAjob but since the transition to Workiz. You guys fall short and don't meet our needs. Maybe a one man show and or someone who doesn't need detailed, efficient workflow.

It seemed like a great software that would be able to customized to our needs. They used to be "SendAJob." When they were the service was great and flowed well.

Cons

The cons can go on and on. Very hard to distinguish the schedule. if you need a client with multiple properties and sub addresses this is the worst software I have ever encountered for such client management. The card processing wasn't efficient. the technical team when needed would only answer very generic and not try to create solutions.

It’s easy to learn and keep up with for the most part. There’s usually someone available to help me and if they’re not because it’s the middle of the night, I always get an answer in the morning.

none they don't deal with problems there softwire has created

Cons

this has cost me thousands, this would tell my customers that we had no availability and if it did say that we where available it would say the available times were from midnight to 8am in the morning we are a moving company and this one this cut our business in half

### "Our Moving business is running more efficiently than ever!"

Workiz has been a great asset to our business with ease of use between the office and the techs, scheduling & mapping the job, contacting customers using the Workiz phone and invoicing/billing. This software has reduced the amount of multiple software & apps to 1, nothing is more efficient than that!!!

Pros

Integration of the software with our business was extremely easy! This software has helped our moving business streamline information to our techs with ease and efficiency; it dramatically reduced misinformation, errors & helps to get last minute changes our quickly.

Cons

Customization of our documents is not as efficient, it would help to have our already established documents translated using PDF's instead of having to re-create the documents needed. There is some issues when viewing job reports in the filter results - when you have selected the dates, then select a job within those dates and want to review other jobs in the same selected dates you must re-select the dates, there is no option to keep that same selection of dates. This can be time consuming when verifying jobs for payroll, techs & hours.

Workiz has it all and works extremely well for our moving business.

### "Great support team and very intuitive interface"

Great support team. Very responsive. I've communicated with them often and they never disappoint. Extremely helpful.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use Workiz. It's intuitive. Other programs really make doing simple task overly complicated with too many clicks and screen jumping. Workiz keeps it simple and also rich in features. I especially love the ability to automatically send text messages to my customers depending on the status of their work order. I work in the Appliance Repair industry and this platform works well for me.

Cons

There are some quirks like but being able to add commas or periods to certain custom fields, but the development team is always updating the app and improving it. So far every bug I've reported has been fixed.

### "Needs work or the old system back"

Before the update I was very happy with it, worked smoother, very little issues, layout was better. Not a big fan of this new system.

Pros

clicking address in quick edit and bring up google maps, tags option in quick edit, ability to edit columns.

Cons

So much wrong with it. Very glitchy, frustrating having the entire job page open when you click just a mm away from the job id and just in general clicking anywhere on the job will open it is frustrating, call recordings are places in an inconvenient place in quick edit, it is COMPLETELY unorganized, you have to click sub status in in-progress EVERY TIME in order to organize your jobs where before it was organized automatically. Same with submitted, very unorganized and list of jobs starts from oldest to newest so you have to click 'date and time' column to reorganize it every time. Messaging system is terrible and always says i have unread messages when I dont. Also only way to know if you have new message is if you see the red 'unread' its not colored darker or have the little yellow dot next to the name which was helpful. The new update is terrible to work with. old system was 100x better.

We started using this software as we developed our business. Workiz has been an integral part of building our business. It has allowed us to keep our customer information, job, scheduling, invoicing and payments in one system.

Pros

It is easy to enter someone as a lead, create a job related to that lead, then generate an estimate and eventually schedule the work if the estimate is accepted. We've gotten a lot better at utilizing the features of the software as we've gotten more comfortable. I love that we can manage our workflow and invoice directly from the same system. Plus being able to accept online payments helps us with billing.

Cons

They've made several changes I had hoped for. It's now easier to track a tech's time on the job, and the change to WePay has been good for us. I do wish there was an easier way to job cost within the software. We are a lot better at using the time tracking tool, but I'd like an easier way to track materials costs.

### "Great product but support is not so good. "

It has been able to run our business very well, there have been problems with response time. When these problems happen it does not seem that there is anyone there that really knows how to fix it. Deposit Report does not go to an excel file and I have been asking for 14 months for that to be fixed. Still no fix as of May 2022.

Pros

Easy to use and set up. Great start up product.

Cons

Product Security doesn't work. The support team always has a canned answer that this is the way it works. Nothing ever seems to get fixed. In 14 months 0 requests have been filled.

Very happy with all aspects of the service so far, seems like everyone is on point and ready to help. Reduced the monthly payment rate during the plague without having to even ask(who does that), unlike most companies I deal with on various front's. I ask a lot of annoying questions and everyone has been answered professionally and thoroughly. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has had to deal with the brunt of my ongoing stupidity and is constantly been very welcoming and quickly able to resolve my issues everytime. Extremely knowledgable, without doubt, the best support possible. Thank you endlessly!

Pros

Very clean user interface and logically laid out very well. Haven't had any downtime or major headaches, things keep rolling along smoothly thanks!

Cons

Importing contacts was impossible despite valid attempts from staff to help. The only option, in the end, was to manually input over 2k contacts by hand.

Pros

easy to use. This was one of my first products like this and I've found out how important it is to my business highly recommend.

Cons

Some issues with calendar reminders could mobile carrier but other than that my customers love receiving the invoice in their email and paying online.

Pros

Reminders on estimates and jobs not closed. Easy to see anything open on desk top. Has a lot of preset rules you can implement.

Cons

Messaging is a little difficult to follow. I was hoping the reporting would be a little more straightforward.
