Based on other buyer's searches, these are the products that could be a good fit for you.
Reviewers highlight the seamless EMR integration and ease of use that Updox offers for patient communication, noting that patients do not need to download any software. They find the system user-friendly for both providers and patients, enhancing the overall experience. Nonetheless, users report issues with the video chat feature, including frequent disconnections and crashes, which can disrupt patient visits.
Users value the quick communication and HIPAA security that Updox provides for patient messaging, making it easier to send appointment reminders and secure messages. They appreciate that the system is patient-friendly, particularly for those with updated phones. Despite these benefits, users encounter limitations with the broadcast feature, dropped calls, and restrictions on form usage through text, which can hinder effective communication.
Pros
The video quality is great. That's all I enjoyed for the 4 days that costs me $94.00.
Very great experience and I love the user interface. A very affordable recommendable software.
The ease of which links can be sent to patients and connectedness to our EMR is fantastic.
I have already recommended this product to colleagues. I like that it is HIPPA compliant, ease of use, and attaches easily to patient folder in EHR.
Cons
Horrendous customer service. No appreciation for customer’s time.
The inability to fax blast to a contact list. The complexity of adding/importing contact lists.
We have been able to see patients that are high risk and did not need to come into the office. I can forsee it being beneficial as we move forward from this crisis.
There is no virtual waiting room so is difficult to schedule the calls. It takes very long to wait for patient to answer.
"A great solution to outdated fax machines"
Overall: Overall, Updox is a great tool for any office. It allows you to kick old fax machines to the curb and simplify the faxing process overall. It's simple and efficient and has many features that allow you to customize faxes to your specific needs.
Pros: Updox is great to use for any office with multiple locations or any office wanting to be more environmentally friendly. I love that Updox lets me convert documents straight from my computer to a fax and makes it a breeze to send these to other businesses or even clients. It's a great solution to so many simple office problems.
Cons: There is a learning curve in using Updox that requires time to know how to use it properly. Once this is overcome though, it's simple to continue use and makes faxing efficient.
Vendor Response
"Great Product. Can be better. "
Overall: It is pleasing, but can be better.
Pros: Its versatility and consistency. You can easily trust it to ensure that everything you needed done will be done, and if for any reason it is unable to send a fax or a message, it will alert you. It also has great staff/user settings that help in larger teams.
Cons: The inability to fax blast to a contact list. The complexity of adding/importing contact lists. The UI gets messy pretty quickly.
"Not worth the money"
Overall: Not a good experience and don't recommend to anyone
Pros: I like the Forms features of this product but you can get similar value other places for much cheaper price
Cons: Customer service is not so good. I tried to cancel the subscription and they wouldn't cancel it unless notified more than 60 days
"Updox Video"
Overall: Updox representative responds to needs quickly and service has made telehealth transition quick and relatively easy.
Pros: The ease of which links can be sent to patients and connectedness to our EMR is fantastic.
Cons: We are excited for the ability to add multiple attendees in family separation situations and group offerings. We are also interested in expanded capabilities including online screening formats. Some users have difficult enabling video/audio equipment.
"Great software option for telemed, secure and easy to use!"
Overall: Updox Video Chat has made a real difference in my ability to care for my patients. The quick roll out to address the need for telehealth in the midst of the pandemic helped me to continue to serve my patients when they needed it most.
Pros: The software is easy to use from both the provider and patient side. There is no app to download, and I find my older patients really appreciate that. Video quality is good. It is secure, which is important in a medical practice.
Cons: I would like to see better functionality with charting and using video chat simultaneously. Right now I have to either write notes and transcribe later, or use two computer screens. It would be nice if I could make the chat small and put it in the corner so I could see both at the same time.
