The software is flexible and has lots of functionality. The cattle section is excellent Cons The cloud functionality needs improving and the sheep area is not as good as the cattle area. I operate a closed suckler herd, calving all year round and the only way this works is through good record keeping. Farm Matters takes all the stress out of this and is highly beneficial as a management tool rather than just a record keeping platform. It enables any animals that are not performing to be identified quickly and helps to keep the herd operating to it's maximum efficiency. The back up and support from there rep is exceptional and they are prepared to answer even the most silly questions with patience and humour. They are also prepared to listen to modifications and suggestions for improvements with these often appearing in the next update. A cheap price to pay for good management and peace of mind over the various legislation that we all have to contend with. Cons Absolutely nothing! The fact that there representatives are prepared to adapt their software to your reasonable needs means that the "Cons" question is null and void. " 5.0 Overall Rating 5.0 5.0 Ease of Use 5.0 5.0 Features 5.0 5.0 Customer Service 5.0 5.0 Likelihood to Recommend 0/10 June 15, 2018 Pros Antibiotic usage records are very good; data is drawn from the official VMD medicines list and so allows review of both quantities used and treatment reasons very easily. Display of data is fully customisable which is in contrast with many other providers who choose what you can and can't display or modify. Development of the software is ongoing; new features, whether software designer led or client requests, are implemented frequently and offer real improvements to the programme. This includes the ability to register animals with breed societies from within the software, the ability to link EID hardware directly to the software without using 3rd party extraction programmes and the ability to import kill data directly from abattoirs. The highlight for me however remains the chaps behind the software; I can pick up the phone and be talked through an unfamiliar process or I can request a feature be added for my sole benefit, both with be well received and often acted on very quickly. For such a small team the customer service is exceptional and puts many other farm software providers to shame. Cons Nothing jumps out; maybe the ability to schedule an automatic backup might be nice however I'm prompted to create one every week or so anyway so it's not a huge problem. It's very easy to use as well as offering a good management tool for all of my livestock details and cross compliance records. The backup is probably is a strong point as customer rep goes out of his way to make sure you are always taken care of and happy with the service. I would fully recommend it to anyone.
