### "Dashlane is GOOD at what it does."

July 18, 2025

5.0

Overall we really liked using and testing Dashlane. It was a long test because password management is such an important aspect these days.

Pros

Simple easy to use an did everything we asked it to do. We were content with Dashlane and seriously considered it in our final round of choosing.

Cons

Dashlane seemed a little too simple and basic for our needs. We had some of our users asking for additional features that just don't exist on Dashlane.

We were testing several different password management apps so we switched between lots of them over the testing period.

### "New to Dashlane"

January 13, 2026

4.0

What is working works well and I apperciate having it. Figuring out how to get it set up for my organization is hard.

Pros

It is very easy to share passwords and their corresponding websites with my employees. It is nice to build groups so I can assign an employee to a group and will be able to deploy by job title as people come and go.

Cons

I am having a hard time navigating it. The learning curve is huge and it is not always very intuitive.

### "Comfortable Set-Up, Difficult to Reset."

September 22, 2025

3.0

A bit frustrating. The install itself went fine, but it went all downhill after that. It feels slightly too techy for an everyday laptop user.

Pros

What I like about Dashlane is the way you can easily transfer all passwords over to the next colleague without having to go through each one. Our treasurer stepped down, and during the transition, she suggested this system for us to use.

Cons

I don't like how hard it is to reset the system. I made a mistake during setup and recorded the wrong main password, and since then, I have not been able to access the account. The steps to be used are confusing, and the system keeps asking me for the one password I actually don't have. This just resulted in frustration and us abandoning the function altogether. Now I'm entering the passwords from our Excel sheet and letting Google remember them, so I have autofill the next time I use the site. I also don't like their pop-up screens; they pop up during times when I'm filling in dates, not passwords. They are stubborn and hard to override for me.

### "Unimaginably superior"

June 24, 2020

5.0

My overall experience is simply great. It has a built in VPN which i really like and is extremely easy to set up. another huge deal maker for mee is the dark web monitoring built in(which isn't the best because haveIbeenpawned is a website where you can check this for free).

Pros

The biggest pro of all is definitely the ease of use, it is so good that while writing this review, I just realized I never had to call up customer support because of how easy it is to use.

Cons

I have no major issues with this product except for that it is just simply quite expensive for its services

### "An outstanding password manager"

July 18, 2019

5.0

Pros

I have used several password managers over the last decade and Dashlane is the best by far. The UI is attractive and it boasts tons of useful features. My favorite part is the VPN that comes included with a paid subscription. The mobile app is the best password manager app, too. It works flawlessly to fill in my passwords, personal information, and payment information.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about Dashlane.

Switched from

The mobile app for LastPass was annoying. The overlay would appear on every single user entry box (not just user name/password) on every website and it made navigating the web difficult.

### "Good, But Lacking Compared To Competition "

August 29, 2019

3.0

We ended up only using Dashlane for about a week until we decided to switch to 1Password.

Pros

My favorite feature of Dashlane is the ability to change all (or some) of your passwords at once. This is especially useful for a business that utilizes accounts that are accessed by multiple employees.

Cons

There were a few caveats that made us stop using Dashlane. Firstly, there are no folders, making it hard to manage our 50+ different account passwords and impossible to share specific folders with different media departments. Also, the price is higher than the competition, which makes it a bit unappealing when compared to something like 1Password (especially because they don't offer any multi-user plans on their lower price tiers).

### "Good fully featured password manager for business"

May 27, 2021

I used it in two projects where we needed to share access to sensitive accounts, and it has been great. The support team is really kind.

Pros

It is really simple to use, and it super secure. Not only because of the encryption, but because it looks trustworthy.

Cons

It can be a little pricey compared to other tools.

Overall experience has been fantastic. I implemented this at my previous employer and just implemented at my new employer.

Pros

I like the zero knowledge architecture, ease of use for end users, admin center functionality, and the security it brings to the company. Tee password management is easy to use for end users.

Cons

Dashlane needs to add functionality to the mobile app to log into multiple accounts and have an easy switch between. I have a personal account and an company account. I have to manually log in and out to switch between them.

January 22, 2026

Overall, very good. We have many users, and all of our users are on multiple platforms, which all require different passwords, this makes it easier.

Pros

ease of use once its set up with a browser plug-in. The walk through with the end user experience works well

Cons

end user password resets, there needs to be an admin option to reset the password. If there was an option to send the end user a password reset link.

### "A great tool for your business"

January 12, 2026

5.0

Overall, I feel Dashlane for business has been great for us all. No downtime or issues. Being able to use SSO was also a great add-on to your organization Deployment was a breeze to setup.

Pros

Using the collection features have been a great experience. All passwords can be used with all users and if somehow if one person leaves those saved password is still available. All you have to do is changed the password and it changes for everyone that has access to it.

Cons

As the administrator for Dash Lane, I wish there was a way for admin to harden the reused password for user. If the user tries using the same password and storing it in Dash Lane, they'll get a "this must be a different password."

Dashlane is a service I didn't know about until this job. It is totally worth having for businesses. Managing users and passwords is easy use and easy to teach.

Pros

Dashlane stream lines all my passwords for work and allows me to share them with others. Sharing information is quick so my employees don't have to wait around.

Cons

I have yet to truly explore the personal side of it. Though what I have tried to do, didn't work out so well.

### "Keeps all our passwords secure and easy to do a search."

July 21, 2025

5.0

Dashlane helped us to manage logins across tools safely without sacrificing security. It’s one less thing to worry about and teams can be onboarded faster.

Pros

I love that I no longer need to remember, or note, passwords. It’s easy to share access with colleagues, and safer than shuffling spreadsheets.

Cons

Sometimes, the auto-fill doesn’t work properly on rarer websites, and the browser extension can occasionally be a bit obtrusive.

### "One of the bigger names in password management, but comes with some issues."

October 14, 2022

4.0

I felt let down by Dashlane, It is a great piece of software and I can understand why it is a leader in it field. However a couple of minor issues makes it OK and not great. However please understand it does work and is great at securely storing passwords.

Pros

Dashlane is pollished and well presented. The UI is clean and simple to navigate. Password sharing is the best I´ve seem. I felt confident in storing my passwords in Dashlane.

Cons

Unfortunately the hit and miss of the autofill was a deal breaker for me. I spent for to much time having to manually input passwords.

### "Great tool to keep your passwords secure at one place"

May 19, 2018

4.0

Pros

This tool works great when you are dealing with lots of passwords on a daily basis. It comes to a point where remembering all passwords you need to use every day becomes an impossible task. Noting them down on a document on your computer or on a post-it is definitely not the most secure solution and here's where Dashlane comes to save the day. You now only need to remember one password that will unlock all the other passwords that you save on Dashlane. Once you have it open and running on your computer, it will help you auto-login as long as the password has been already saved there which means you don't even have to type anything. The tool does not only serve as a password storage but can also help you with generating new strong ones when you need to create new ones. As well as passwords, the tool also works with credit cards and with forms, so that you don't have to fill those details anymore, which can become a very tedious task. You can update the stored information at any point as needed.

Cons

There are times when you have more than one credential for a given site and the tool might automatically sign you in with one of them that might not be the one you needed at that moment. Specifically, I'm thinking test users on development tools. Also, on given sites where there are fields to enter, the tool really does not know what they are for and tries to fill them in with the option it thinks is best, but that might not be the case. As an example, I'm referring to fields that serve as filters for a given list. Having something entered there is not ideal as you may not need to filter anything but the tool keeps trying to fill the field anyways, even when you keep deleting whatever Dashlane entered there.

### "The best among the competition"

December 23, 2018

5.0

I love this product and use it daily. If you aren't using a product like Dashlane or 1Password, you've likely already had your login stolen. If you're using the same logins for multiple sites, your identity is in the hands of someone else already, and potentially your credit card info.

Pros

\- Absolutely necessary product in the age we live in! - Great integration with iOS! (recent update) - Works great across platforms, including all browsers - Lets you know when a site you use has been compromised - Lets you automatically change passwords with 1 click (sort of) - Safely manages your credit card info, and autofills shipping details - Includes a notes area where you can securely save important notes/details

Cons

\- The one-click password changer works for some sites, but I end up needing to do it manually most of the time - Sometimes (especially on mac) it doesn't always recognize that a login field is active, forcing me to refresh the page, or open the Mac app to activate the chrome extension, etc. This is a random bug an I'm not sure what is causing it. For the most part, though, it works well. - I wish it included a file storage section, although you can use Mega.nz for encrypted storing of files if you need that.

### "Decent password management for the average user "

April 1, 2022

4.0

I found the usage within my organisation somewhat spotty. It was widely adopted but disliked by the technical staff who wanted to use a more secure solution. It was widely used by most technologically literate staff. However the staff who did not have much knowledge of computer use had a poor adoption rate. I can only imagine that this lowered the effectiveness of password management for these users.

Pros

It was a decent piece of software for the average user. They adopted it and found its use improved their workflow - particularly on websites in which the chrome plugin worked effectively. I found that it provided a decent tool for managing my work passwords at the time and i eventually used the free dashlane tool at home before moving onto a solution that I personally preferred. It provided a good mix of convenience and security.

Cons

The company i worked for at the time used a premium account (for business) however switched to a different solution. Because i was not part of the decision to switch I cannot exactly explain why this was the case. Once I was using the free version after the premium ran out I found that this software was a good example of 'nagware'. It kept constantly asking me to go back to premium usage. I understand the company has to make money and convert free users to premium users but i found it too obtrusive and migrated all of my passwords over to a new solution. The software has a tradeoff between security and convenience with online password storage. Useful for the average user's passwords, but critical passwords should be stored offline.

### "Definitely a helpful, important tool to have"

April 26, 2021

4.0

Every now and then it might be a bit buggy but overall I am happy with Dashlane and they provide a service that is a must-have for all of us in the world of the internet.

Pros

\- I really like the password health functionality they have where they notify you of passwords that might be compromised (ie. after the discovery of a security bug in Spotify) as well as passwords that are weak and/or repeated often. As you fix the issues, your PW health improves and an account admin can also monitor the pw health of the whole team. - Their support team really tries to help. - The software now also knows my address details and such which makes online shopping much more seamless.

Cons

It's a shame that they are discontinuing the Dashlane app you could have on your computer and it will solely be a browser extension. However, I understand why they do this as in the past I've used the computer app to change lots of passwords (in an attempt to fix my pw health score) however there was an issue when trying to sync between the app and the browser extension (and mobile app). While their customer support was helpful unfortunately all the changed pws were lost to me and I had to start all over.

### "Good password manager to simplify storage and sharing of sensitive information"

May 1, 2018

4.0

Save and manage all of our passwords and credit cards

Pros

I tried several different password managers before settling on Dashlane for our small marketing team. With so many vendors and site logins, it is a nightmare to try and keep all our account login information secure, much less remember it. Dashlane simplifies managing all of that information. It securely stores company and personal contact information, credit cards, receipts, and account login information behind a single master password. Access can be granted to team members on as-needed basis, and sharing passwords is made simple for admins. It has a built in strong password generator, and can auto-change passwords in bulk in case you want to lock out someone who had access or if you are afraid security has been compromised.

Cons

Sometimes the app or the browser extension quit working, or won't offer to save my password. It also doesn't seem to work for desktop applications automatically, only websites and online forms. The pricing to me is also a little high, but it does save you a lot of time and security headaches.

### "Credential sharing made easy"

April 19, 2022

5.0

We have been using Dashlane for more than a year now, we are very happy about this choice. It's a must for mid-size and big companies.

Pros

It is very easy to : (1) add teammates, (2) add in new websites with shared credentials, (3) install extension or use the app to access websites. We are sharing dashlane within the company, it's SO MUCH EASIER NOW. We do not have to copy paste all the time and send confidential infos as credentials through chat and emails. It clearly feels safer.

Cons

There are so many steps in order to log in, BUT it's definitely a plus as well because it ensures our data safety for sure.

### "Dashlane - The OG password manager that just works!"

June 29, 2021

5.0

Right from day one, Dashlane has been a breeze to use. With great features and functionality that rivals it's competitors, Dashlane has made it extremely easy to store and use password within a secure environment. No leaks, no breaches - pure security!

Pros

Since we have been long time user of the free version of Dashlane, moving to the Business plan was only obvious when our business grew. It has been easy to use with multiple users. What's more? Every user account gets the family plan added that they can user for their personal use with family members.

Cons

Smaller business could find the cost burdensome especially in developing countries where maximum compliance is still expected but the cost becomes higher as more user are added.

### "This is the best and most secure password manager. Period. "

January 6, 2019

5.0

I use Dashlane to securely store all of my passwords and to create very strong passwords for my accounts. The sync features also makes logging into my account across my devices easy.

Pros

Dashlane is the best password manager out there. I've used several others, and I can confidently say Dashlane beats them all. From the very neat and intuitive user interface to the ease of use, this software is just awesome. The autofill option works like charm. That makes logging in very easy and painless. Another wonderful feature is that it seamlessly syncs my passwords across all my devices, making them available in whatever platform I'm using.

Cons

Aside the price, there's really nothing to complain about since I never expected such a wonderful software to come so cheap.

### "Only mildly annoys me while getting the job done"

February 15, 2019

My company pays for it but I'm not impressed.

Pros

\- it auto fills my log in and passwords - will automatically generate strong passwords

Cons

\- For whatever reason, there does not appear to be an option to add choose the phone number you use to autofill forms. Sometimes I need people to contact my office number, sometimes my cell. Overall Dashlane's form autofill annoys me. - Dashlane can be glitchy on certain websites. When this happens, I experience problems such as having to reload a page 20 bajillion times or turn dashlane off. -Dashlane automatically signs me out of my account multiple times a week. I have no idea why. I am the sole user on my computer. It's pretty frustrating. - I work at a consulting firm. We have numerous clients. Hence, I run into this specific issue with Sharepoint websites with similar set ups: Dashlane is unable to tell the difference between clients' Sharepoint login portals. I have to fight with Dashlane to turn it off, look up the password info for each client's Sharepoint portal and proceed.

### "A blessing for the forgetful!"

July 8, 2019

5.0

Dashlane Business is great way to share passwords with other employees for websites that everyone on your team uses. Also, you are able to separate your personal passwords/info from your work passwords, which is the best part!

Pros

Dashlane is very helpful for remembering the hundreds of passwords that we use on a daily basis, especially when you want to have very hard to crack passwords for different websites. I'm able to have a different password for each website and Dashlane keeps track of it all for me. I also love that I can save all my credit cards and bank info in it, so that I can checkout easily on payment platforms and online shopping websites.

Cons

I have had times that Dashlane didn't update a password automatically that I changed on a certain website, which I don't catch until then next time I try to get on that website again.
