Cons I dislike that Dashlane: - If you happen to have multiple accounts for a website the automatic login is frustrating. - Sometimes if you are updating a password through the site Dashlane won't save the new password. It makes sure that I am safe online which is important in my industry. Pros Dashlane is an established and trusted password manager. It makes it easy to manage multiple passwords, and also generates very strong passwords which is important in our business. Cons The only downside is if you have multiple credentials for one website, Dashlane will autofill for one credential which can make it time consuming to delete and reenter the correct details. This is a minor inconvenience for the features that Dashlane offers. I like being able to update in on my laptop and use it immediately on my phone. Cons It has a major bug in it that prevents me from using it on my computer (nothing unusual about my computer, btw). I liked the mobile access, the VPN, and a slew of other features that Dashlane has that the others did not. Pros Having to remember a secure and unique password for hundreds of different sites is impossible. With Dashlane, I can generate a a secure and unique password for every site and application that I use. As long as I have my phone or iPad with me (or have internet access) I can find my login information. Much better than just reusing a few different passwords or keeping everything in an unsecured spreadsheet! Cons I've had the PC software come up with an error twice which caused it to crash. The only remedy was to uninstall and reinstall. That aside though, I thoroughly enjoy Dashlane. It's easy to use, and the auto login is a nice touch. Cons I honestly have no complaints about this other, than, occasionally, when using a site that requires additional input information, it may "jump the shark" and fill in the information, which may not apply. June 30, 2018 5.0 Pros It auto-detects username/password fields on websites. I really like the password generator, though the auto-fill feature doesn't always work. On iOS, it connects well with Safari through an extension. Cons Occasionally glitchy on desktop (Mac). Invested time and energy in importing, categorizing, and managing passwords. In the end, the feature set and functionality did not justify the price for me. Pros Dashlane, especially the free and single user versions is a workable and robust solution for one person with one device. Once you get past that and move into the paid arena, Dashlane's features and value fall in comparison to other products. Cons Got more than one device or need to cover more than one person? Dashlane may not be for you. It does an adequate job, but at a higher cost and with less functionality than competitors' offerings. Secure locker for other sensitive information. Pros It consistently works. Captures new passwords on the fly, replacements, and recalls across a wide range of sites. It auto-generates passwords and usernames for me. Then it automatically saves them for me. Auto-login on all my sites and apps on my phone. Cons Auto-login can be a little buggy/slow sometimes. Sometimes it auto-fills forms and I don't want it to fill certain spots. Pros I love the level of security that Dashlane offers. I love that I do not have to remember hundreds of passwords. Cons This is a very specific dislike that I have with Dashlane. I am a payroll administrator and upon entering new hires into our payroll system (which is an online database) Dashline will prompt me to fill in employee information with my information from Dashlane. Cons It can be frustrating when both Apple keychain and Dashlane are trying to fill in the same form- instead of time saving it becomes time consuming to cancel all the dialogue boxes that are appearing. It keeps track of all of my business and personal passwords in a secure place. We can share login info with other colleagues in a secure way through Dashlane. I feel so comfortable knowing everything is stored in one secure place. Cons If anything I’d have to say the Dashlane app on MAC was disabled or something so I have to go to the website to login. Virtual security is not something to take lightly and should be protected at all costs. Pros Dashlane is a must-have for password security. You can store an unlimited number of passwords, snd add emails, security questions, and other notes to each password to make sure you have all the information in one spot. Dashlane also allows you to store secure documents and sync your passwords to your device so they auto-fill on your web browser when you log in. Cons I had a hard time trying to initially set up two-factor authentication for Dashlane. They could make the process for that easier to find. Other than that, the software is foolproof. An absolute home run and, thanks to some stumbles by LastPass, my go to product for all password and security needs. Cons The interface can be a bit clunky on earlier versions of Android and iOS, but, so long as you're up to date in terms of your operating system, the mobile interface is as seamless as the PC product. Whoever you have the data breach with, you just change that password instead having to change the password in multiple places if you use primarily one password. Pros You can have the software save encrypted passwords that can be easily accessed for your computer or cell phones. I have over two hundred different passwords. They also have other features. One is to save payment information, another you can save personal "IDs" like driver's license or passport information. You also have access to a VPN. Cons No complaints. Zero. With tons of online accounts all with separate passwords and different people needing to access different accounts, this software just made it all come together. Works pretty well for teams too. Cons The chrome integration is very strange and seems to confuse itself with the desktop application. The system sometimes doesn't request to save new passwords and it sometimes doesn't pull them up when I need passwords I've saved. It works most of the time though, so I keep using it. Pros Firstly I really love that I now have safe passwords for all of my many accounts, rather than doing what most people do and using one single password for everything and hoping for the best. Secondly I am so happy that these high quality passwords are always available on my Mac or my android phone, and pop up as autologin options whenever I want to log in to something. Really easy to use. And my better half likes it too. Cons The android app that opens other apps can sometimes have trouble finding the right information. Having said that I mentioned this to support and they asked me for examples so they could get to work on it. I spent 30 minutes trying to find one before I realised that they've either upped their game again, or that I was mistaken.
