Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Keep logins secure without wasting time managing account access" July 21, 2016 5.0 Dashlane allows me to maintain a strict security code of requiring every site to have a unique and random password while still enabling an easy way to share access without surrendering the security of that access. Pros I like that I don't have to know what any of my passwords are because Dashlane will remember it all for me. Dashlane will also alert me when any large site is compromised (like LinkedIn for example) and instantly give me the ability to change my password. Cons While I love the ability for Dashlane's accounts to sync across multiple devices (tablets, phones, laptops) I do have a few Chromebooks that currently are only able to use the web interface. I'm hoping that in the future Dashlane will fully support Chromebooks. Review Source SM Samuel M. So convenient and helpful, and saves a lot of time. I also love the ability to store secure notes. Cons Sometimes it generates a password and then doesn't prompt me to save it, meaning I'll have to then go and reset the password manually. Only issue is that not all features are on one version of the software. There are three versions (local program, browser extension, and web browser console) and not one has all of the programs functions, you have to move around to access all the features. Never had issues with this program. Pros I use the for personal and work. This has changed my life. No more sticky notes all over my desk with all my different passwords. I love that I can access Dashlane both on my computer and my phone on the app as those are the two main places I am constantly switching back and forth with. Pros \- I have no Pros other than they had great marketing appeal. But that was short lived after we bought the service and didn't get the information we needed to sign in. Cons \- Stole our money - No Customer Service We were so excited to get our first password manager system setup. Dashlane seemed professional, marketing efforts we great, so we moved forward. We paid to get our first 2 years which they were then suppose to email us our temporary password with username to login for the first time. Well the temporary password was never sent. We tried to find a number to call, there was none. I tried emailing their customer service, no answer over 3 months. I finally found a call, but no one would answer. Upon further review, I saw that SEVERAL other customers had the same issue and lost their money. Highly Recommend you stay away. I hope they fix the issue or they're just being a scam. Alternatives considered [RoboForm](https://www.capterra.com/p/152208/RoboForm/) Reason for choosing Dashlane for Business I ended up using Roboform and still use them. Roboform I would recommend. Pros We recently implemented Dashlane as our preferred password manager. It has very nice UI and offers all the features you might need for a competitive price. Now I won't go back. I made the switch because of issues with 1Password on different devices. Dashlane isn't without it quirks, but overall it's a great product and works across my devices and operating systems. Pros Ease of Use Device and OS Agnostic Allows more than passwords to be used... ie credit cards / etc. Cons Sometimes it doesn't wake up when using chrome extensions... seems to be working better over time, though. Additionally, it synchs well to my iPhone and works well there too. Cons Dashlane is perhaps the most expensive password management system on the market. But it's worth it... Pros Dashlane has some great visuals on password strength. The color coding to notify you about reused passwords or weak ones is helpful when thinking about your overall digital security. Cons It just isn't user friendly or easy to navigate for those unfamiliar with tech. The software isn't intuitive for people who aren't used to using password managers. There are some concerns about removing business accounts and it downgrading to free/personal accounts and then being unable to remove any of the previously saved passwords. It is a major security flaw. You only need one password to log in and it will automatically log into to any of your accounts on any device. If you currently use Google to save your passwords, this is way easier. Nowadays, we tend to login on so many websites that it is hard to remember all our passwords or even the email addresses we use to create accounts. Personally, I have been having this issue lately. Since I have been using Dashlane, I didn't need to worry about it anymore. Once I create my accounts, I make sure to let Dashlane store my login info. Cons For a few weeks Dashlane would not automatically fill in my passwords. I had to copy the password from Dashlane each time and enter in my master password. It is all fixed now!
