It required some learning and effort to set up, and pricing can be on the high side to get the features you require. It is one of those love-hate solutions. Pros Monday.com is a good cloud based work/project management platform. It provides a colourful and easy to use interface for users, with plenty of templates, automation and reporting tools. Cons The free tier is not very useful and there are only 3 paid tiers. Some essential features are tied up in higher plans - forcing you to upgrade. There is a learning curve to customise it to how you want. However, it has serious limitations compared to, say, Jira, or another platform used to manage intricate projects spanning multiple teams. It keeps the team aligned and projects on track, which at the end of the day is what matters. We just wish the pricing was a bit more fair for growing teams. If you are a small team or a larger company with budget to spare, it is genuinely worth it. If you are somewhere in the middle, you might find yourself questioning the value every time the renewal comes around. Pros Honestly, the visual layout is what got us hooked. Being able to see all our projects in one place with color coded statuses, timelines, and dashboards made a huge difference for our team's workflow. The automations are also a game changer once you figure them out. Things like auto assigning tasks or sending reminders used to eat up so much of our time, and now they just happen. Collaboration feels natural too, everything stays in one place instead of getting lost in email threads. Cons The pricing is where it starts to hurt. As soon as our team grew, the cost jumped significantly, and some features we expected to be basic are locked behind higher tier plans. There is also a learning curve. Pros Monday.com is a helpful tool that I use as a Real Estate Team Operations Director. It's easy to format your calendar, checklists, etc. and share it with your team. I use it to delegate tasks for each property we work with to make it clear what needs to be done and my whom. It helps manage our processes, and simply automate tasks that are always needed for each property, along with being able to easily add in new items per listing as needed. November 18, 2025 2.0 When Monday.com was new, fresh and innovative we were big fans. Sure, it was a bit pricy, but it matched our needs very nicely. But over time we encountered to many limitations with scale so we had to move away to another tool. which ended in a horrible user experience for all team members due to a daily "Your Account will be blocked" message showing up for the rest of the subscription period. For EVERY employee of the company. HORRIBLE. Pros Gerat Design and great feeling when interacting with the modern and team motivating interface. the features it supports feel great for the team members to use. Cons we encountered more and more buggy behaviour on Scale using Monday.com to a point where we canceled the subscription. But then the horror happened. When the plan is canceled EVERY team member (Employee) will see a big warning banner EVERY SINGLE DAY saying: "Your plan's renewal has been cancelled and you will be blocked on August 6, 2025".- this is a huge NO GO and Customer service said there is nothing to do to prevent this from showing to every team member. "You will be blocked" messages going out to ALL employees for the next few months until our migration to another tool is completed is HORRIBLE. September 7, 2025 3.0 Very effective for my case use. But incredibly expensive as a solution to create master, shared spreadsheets. It clearly does do more than just this, but given the default views and setup, that's essentially what it is - rows and columns. It's incredibly over priced for this. Pros I couldn't keep effective version control over several shared spreadsheets very well. Enter Monday which worked wonders to do this. Created a single point of truth for key data where other tools I suffered from multiple versions being saved by various users, leading to inaccuracies. Cons Cost. With a need to share across internal users and external - you can absolutely do that - but internal occasional users must have a full seat and the cost rachets up and fast! Also, it requires a minimum seat subscription at start up meaning it starts more expensive than it needs to if you want to try it. It has also allowed upper management to get an oversight into the output of the team that is using it. Pros Monday is a very easy to setup and use platform. You can see benefits almost instantly when you start setting up your first board. Features such as the ability to view projects and tasks in multiple views (table, Kanban and calendar for example), and the automations are amazing. The number of growing integrations is another bonus. The special pricing that Monday offers Not For Profit (NFP) organisations makes it an absolute leader in this space. Cons There are some limitations in the platform such as an inability to create some automations at the sub task level. The support/development teams do a decent job of monitoring feedback in their official forums though. With enough feedback, some of these limitations can be addressed over time. We also use it to keep track of tasks, stay on top of due dates and priorities, communicate and collaborate with other departments that are working on the same job or part, and the list goes on. Honestly, I don't know how we could function as a business at this point without monday.com. I can't stress enough how integral monday.com is to our day to day operations. Pros I love the adaptability and versatility of monday.com. You can customize the setups, flows, views, tools in an infinite number of different configurations to suit whatever needs you may have for data entry/tracking in your workplace. The ability to build in automations and triggers helps to save you a lot of time. Cons The one pet peeve I would have with monday.com is that when multiple workstations are accessing the same view and make changes to the data at their station, this change isn't necessarily reflected in the same view at other workstations. Additionally, when you have multiple windows of the same view are open at a workstation and a change or entry is made, that isn't immediately reflected in the other windows. This can lead to confusion and wasted time. Remembering to refresh the browser is key, as this immediately updates all the data and any changes that may have been made at different stations or in a different window. Review Source GS Guy S. Cons The automation doesn't always work like it should. For example, when a task is completed, it doesn't always waterfall correctly, or notify the next owner of a task. The software also needs better executive reports. The software does not present information in an easily understandable way at a glance.
