### "Powerful but takes time to get right — worth it once you do"

May 18, 2026

5.0

We've been using monday.com for about 14 months across a team of 11 people in a marketing agency. After a shaky first month of setup, it's now the first thing I open every morning. The value for money feels fair at our current plan level, though I do wish the mid-tier included more automation runs. If you're willing to invest a week or two into setting it up thoughtfully, it pays back in clarity and accountability across the whole team.

Pros

Monday.com completely changed how our team tracks work. The visual boards are genuinely satisfying to use — color-coded statuses, drag-and-drop task cards, and the ability to switch between Kanban, Gantt, and list views without losing any data is a huge win. Task management is where it really shines; assigning owners, setting deadlines, and leaving update threads directly on tasks means we've cut our email back-and-forth by a lot. The automations are also a standout feature — once I set up a rule to notify the team when a task moves to "stuck," it just runs itself. Customer support was responsive when I had onboarding questions, and the help docs are actually readable.

Cons

The pricing jumps steeply once you scale up seats, which stings for smaller teams. The free tier is almost too limited to evaluate it properly. There's also a learning curve around process management — building multi-board workflows with dependencies and linked items feels unintuitive at first, and I ran into a few bugs where automations fired twice or didn't trigger at all (though this seemed to resolve itself after a day). New users tend to over-complicate their boards early on, so without proper onboarding, adoption can stall.

### "Flexible and intuitive project management tool"

June 24, 2026

5.0

Monday.com has helped our team stay organized. The ability to customize boards for different projects is a major advantage, and automations reduce manual tasks.

Pros

I like that it has a clean visual interface that makes tracking tasks easy. It has highly customizable boards, strong collaboration features, and automation that saves time.

Cons

Pricing may be higher for small teams compared to simpler options. Dashboards can occasionally lag or fail to update in real time, though these issues are rare.

### "Please Get and Offline Mode "

i have not worked with the ai platform much as I have not have had much time to look into how to use it

Pros

I like the automations they are extremely helpful. the customizatino of things makes the software adaptable to most of my jobs applications

Cons

the ability to not be able to work offline kills this for me. Competitor apps like slack and even google drive you have the ability to work on an offline mode. that is the main issue with monday.com

### "Powerful and Flexible but needs Customization for Nonprofits"

April 27, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with monday.com has been very positive. It helped us centralize workflows and improve organization across our nonprofit team. The flexibility, automations, and integrations save a lot of time, but there is a learning curve, especially for dashboards and more complex setups. The CRM templates are also quite sales-focused, so we had to customize them to better fit nonprofit needs. Overall, once set up, it is a powerful tool that really improves efficiency and collaboration.

Pros

I have been using monday.com for a while now to manage operations at a nonprofit, and honestly, it has made a big difference in how we stay organized. What I like most is how everything can live in one place. We use it for tracking leads, managing projects, handling contracts, and even donor tracking. Before monday.com, things were all over the place, and now it just feels much more structured and easier to follow. The boards are flexible enough that we can set them up exactly how we need, which is a huge plus. I also really like the automations and integrations. Once we connected it with tools like Thinkific and Zapier, it saved us a lot of manual work. Things update automatically, and we can see data almost in real time, which is super helpful for reporting.

Cons

here is definitely a learning curve, especially when you try to build more complex workflows or dashboards. Some features (like charts or reporting) are not as straightforward as you would expect, and sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to get things right. One thing I noticed is that the Monday CRM templates feel very sales-focused. They work well for traditional sales pipelines, but for a nonprofit like us, they do not always fit out of the box. We had to spend extra time customizing and adjusting the structure to better support things like partnerships, program tracking, and community engagement. Also, it can be a little confusing figuring out when to use the CRM side versus the regular work management boards. We had to experiment quite a bit before landing on a structure that worked for us.

Switched from

[Salesforce Service Cloud](https://www.capterra.com/p/136189/Salesforce/)

We switched from Salesforce to monday.com mainly because we needed something simpler, more flexible, and easier for our team to actually use day to day. Salesforce is powerful, but it felt too complex for our needs. It required more setup, maintenance, and technical knowledge, which made it harder for a small nonprofit team to manage efficiently. Many workflows were not as transparent, and it was not always easy for staff to quickly understand or update information.

June 16, 2026

5.0

As an education institution, we introduced monday.com to assist us in actualizing our desire to keep all operations in the institution running smoothly and it has given us a very efficient work management experience that has allowed us to meet this objective. We use it as our central team workspace where teams from all departments get to meet, discuss and come up with proper work plans on how to streamline both learning and the institution management operations. Having monday.com has made collaboration on all our institution operations become a reality and has also made it easy for us to monitor the real-time status of all operations making it possible to identify anything that might be slowing us down.

Pros

We brought monday.com into play in our institution to help us link up the teams from all the departments and make easy for us to collaborate in planning and managing our daily operations. Our experience with monday.com has been very productive helping us to facilitate our efforts of ensuring smooth functioning of our institution. monday.com provides us with superb digital work planning and organization features which enables us to lay proper plans for all operations in our institution, allowing us to keep all operations in the institution running smoothly without any setbacks. Having monday.com in place has also allowed us to keep all our teams and departments connected, aligned and working together towards delivering exceptional learning and institution management operations. It provides us with great visual dashboards which allows us to monitor the status and progress of our operations in real time. There are also great information sharing features which makes it easy for us to share real-time operations updates with everyone to keep everyone up to speed.

Cons

We had a very simple and straightforward implementation experience and our overall usage experience turned out exactly as we had hoped for. We have not seen and cracks in the performance of monday.com or any of its features and we are happy with everything about it.

### "Trust monday.com for project management and be guaranteed of success. A powerhouse that equips teams with greatness."

June 15, 2026

5.0

Our organization has benefited massively from our partnership with monday.com. Having a flexible project management tool that allows us to manage our different design projects from a single platform has really saved us the hassle of having multiple products for the same work. monday.com has also been a very useful link up point for our departments and teams allowing us to have a central workstation where we can collaborate on our operations easily to ensure fluidity of operations in the entire organization.

Pros

As a design organization, our partnership with monday.com started on a high note especially because it was easy to setup and customize it to fit our existing work setup. The user interface of monday.com is intuitive and we are able to easily and quickly surf from one feature to the other without any delays. The task management features are easy to customize based on the current project we are handling and this allows us to use monday.com to manage multiple of our design projects without having to change a lot of the initial presets.

Cons

We have seen no issues with monday.com so far. It has helped us to facilitate better operations management and has made it easy to keep our teams and departments working together as a single unit. We genuinely lack anything negative to comment about it.

### "Simple to use with great customizable options"

May 20, 2026

5.0

Really enjoyed the overall simplicity and the iOS app was great too. You can toggle between different views (Kanban, Gantt, Calendar, and Timeline) without needing a technical setup and I appreciated that.

Pros

Great task management tool, simple layout with highly customization options. Used it with a team of partner managers to collaborate on projects and ensure the partners were taken care of.

Cons

The pricing felt a little clunky. When we were first trying it out, there was rigid per-seat pricing with a three-user minimum. Once everyone on the team was using it, this was no longer a problem.

### "Easiest to use, most comprehensive online project management platform"

April 27, 2026

5.0

I have had an outstanding experience with Monday.com! I led a deep review of project management platforms with my former employer, and our execution and use of Monday was so smooth and successful that I have implemented it at my current organization. This will always be my top choice for usability, user friendliness, and a great competetive cost that gives outstanding functionality without breaking the bank.

Pros

We went through a review of various project management platforms and ultimately settled on monday for several reasons. First it has some of the best help files of any software service I have used, ever. The help and instructions site is amazing because the information is available in multiple formats, like text and video, not just one or the other, so the information is available in the manner in which the user learns best. It is also set up so that different preferences can be accomodated. For example if someone tends to work well with color coding, but someone else works best with lists both can be set up. The ability to see the status of multiple tasks or projects at once is really helpful, and now they have expanded their templates and integrated AI so it is even easier and more effective for basic users

Cons

I honestly dont have a lot of downsides. Any issues I have had I have always been able to solve by going to the help files.

### "Powerful for Product Launches, But the Price Tag Stings"

April 27, 2026

4.0

Monday.com is one of the most polished project management platforms on the market, and it shows when you're coordinating a complex, multi-stakeholder product launch.

Pros

Intuitive interface and visual clarity: The board layout is genuinely easy to navigate. Color-coded statuses, timeline views, and Gantt-style charts make it simple to get a quick read on launch progress without digging through spreadsheets or long comment threads. Strong AI capabilities: Monday's AI features stand out. From auto-generating task summaries to writing update drafts and surfacing blockers, the AI integration feels purposeful rather than bolted on — which is rare in this category. Powerful automation engine: The no-code automation builder is flexible and reliable. You can set up complex workflows (status triggers, notifications, cross-board syncs) without involving a developer, which speeds up launch coordination significantly. Flexible views and templates:Whether you need a Kanban board, a calendar, a workload view, or a high-level dashboard, Monday handles it. The launch management templates are solid starting points that don't require heavy customization to become useful.

Cons

Pricing is a real barrier for team-wide adoption: This is the biggest friction point. Monday's per-seat pricing model gets expensive fast — especially when you want to bring in cross-functional contributors (design, sales, support) who only need occasional access. The cost scales in a way that discourages full organizational buy-in. Feature gating on lower tiers: Some of the most useful features — advanced automations, AI tools, time tracking, and dashboard consolidation — are locked behind Pro or Enterprise plans, which compounds the pricing issue. Can get cluttered at scale: Without strong governance on board structure and naming conventions, workspaces can become disorganized quickly. For a product launch with many moving parts, this requires proactive discipline from the team. Learning curve for advanced features: The basics are easy to pick up, but getting the most out of automations, formulas, and cross-board dependencies takes time to master — which is a real cost during a time-sensitive launch.

### "Flexible, Intuitive, and Highly Effective PM tool"

April 27, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with monday.com has been very positive. We use it across all functions, including onboarding, sales, estimation, procurement, production, project management, contract overview, and maintenance. It has significantly improved visibility, coordination, and efficiency across teams.

Pros

It is well presented and very intuitive to use. The interface is clean and visually appealing, making it easy to understand even for first‑time users. Boards can be easily customised and reconfigured based on specific team or project needs, which makes planning and tracking work highly flexible and efficient.

Cons

Some advanced features can take time to fully understand, especially automation and integrations. Pricing can also become higher as more users and features are added, which may not suit smaller teams or budgets.

### "Overall, pretty good"

April 28, 2026

4.0

Overall, monday can be as simple or as complex as you need it to be. It is worthwhile either paying someone to set it up for you, or have someone internally as the champion to set it up. When used properly it can be very powerful, when used poorly, it creates too much admin. It is the closest to project management software I would design if I did it myself (still not perfect though).

Pros

Monday UI is very nice and intuitive to use (if setup properly) and has the ability to be a one stop shop platform. Ease of use has meant adoption from staff has been very good. Automation features are good, templating is reasonable but a bit buggy sometimes. Customer support has been very helpful when you can get to a human, but you often have to go through useless AI bots to get there.

Cons

Monday is very expensive, which means it can be difficult to justify seats for all users. This means that use of the software can be a bit half hearted by your company if only some people are allowed seats. The ability to track resources, time and budget is pretty basic, especially if you've come from something like MS Project. Updates seem to be mainly focused on AI at the moment, which can be frustrating, especially when features the community has been asking for for a long time continue to get pushed. Would appreciate more transparency on the roadmap.

### "Excellent for project management"

April 28, 2026

5.0

We migrated from Microsoft Planner for the majority of our projects and everyone across the company much prefers Monday.com. We have now run many projects through it and I truly believe that managing these projects would have been much harder with Planner. Getting people to use things is hard, but people genuinely enjoy using Monday.com which means we don't have any resistance when adding more projects into it and getting new people onboarded.

Pros

Easy to use for the whole team. It's very visually appealing which is great so that many members of the team like it and actively like using it. It's easy to understand and quite flexible which is nice. I really like being able to house everything in one board - all my tasks, documentation, forms and dashboards, all in one place. The automations are super easy to set up and offer a ton of value being able to dictate logic and have your boards work for you is great.

Cons

I think the pricing structure is a bit annoying at first. We've adopted gradually, but needing to buy licenses in set amounts is a bit annoying. When you connect a board to a column, there's no option for adding all the tasks from the board automatically to the connected column. You have to add them all manually and individually which is annoying. But not the end of the world. The name! You can't just say "Monday" because people have no idea what you're on about and saying "Monday.com" each time is annoying.

### "Powerful and Flexible Work Management Tool with Room for Improvement"

April 29, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with monday.com has been positive. It is a powerful tool for organizing work, improving team collaboration, and increasing productivity. While there is a learning curve at the beginning, once the platform is properly configured, it becomes a central hub for managing operations efficiently. It’s particularly valuable for teams looking for a customizable and scalable solution.

Pros

What I liked most about monday.com is its flexibility and visual interface. It allows you to customize workflows according to your business needs, which is especially useful for managing projects, tracking tasks, and collaborating across teams. The dashboards and automations help reduce manual work and provide clear visibility of progress in real time. Integration with other tools is also a strong advantage.

Cons

One of the main downsides is pricing, which can become expensive as your team grows or if you need advanced features. Additionally, some automations and integrations are limited depending on the plan. At times, the platform can feel overwhelming for new users due to the number of options and configurations available.

Alternatives considered

[Microsoft Planner](https://www.capterra.com/p/227201/Microsoft-Planner/)

Reason for choosing monday.com AI Work Platform

I chose monday.com over other alternatives like Asana, Trello, or ClickUp because of its balance between flexibility, usability, and visual project management. Unlike simpler tools such as Trello, which are mainly limited to Kanban boards, monday.com offers multiple views (timeline, calendar, dashboards) that allow better control of complex projects. Another key reason is its high level of customization. monday.com allows you to adapt workflows, fields, and automations to fit different business processes, rather than forcing teams into a rigid structure. This makes it suitable for both operational and strategic use cases. Additionally, its visual interface and ease of use make onboarding faster compared to more complex tools. Teams can quickly understand task status, ownership, and priorities without heavy training, which is critical for adoption. Finally, the availability of built-in automations, integrations, and customizable dashboards helps centralize work and reduce manual effort, making it a more scalable solution compared to many alternatives.

### "Solid, easy to use, great for our remote team"

Solid. For us individually as well as looking at the big picture of projects, deadlines, etc. Love the color coded options, how easy it is to set up new clients and projects. The mobile app is helpful for looking up specific items when I'm away from my computer.

Pros

### "Easy-to-use and flexible project management tool"

April 29, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with monday.com has been very positive. It has improved team organization, visibility, and communication across projects. It’s a powerful tool for managing workflows and staying aligned, especially for cross-functional teams. While there are some limitations and cost considerations, the benefits in efficiency and collaboration make it a valuable platform.

Pros

Monday.com is very intuitive and easy to use, even for teams that are not highly technical. I especially like the visual layout of boards and how customizable they are for different workflows. The automation features save time on repetitive tasks, and the ability to collaborate, assign tasks, and track progress in one place is very helpful. It also integrates well with other tools we use.

Cons

Some features can feel limited unless you upgrade to higher-tier plans, and pricing can add up quickly. There is also a bit of a learning curve when setting up more advanced automations or workflows. Occasionally, it can feel overwhelming with so many customization options, and certain reporting or dashboard features could be more flexible.

Great experience so far. It’s a powerful platform with a lot of potential once you get the hang of it. There’s definitely a learning curve, but once systems are set up properly, it makes managing tasks, communication, and workflows much more efficient and streamlined across the team.

Pros

Very up to date and constantly evolving with new features. It’s a great platform for organising workflows, automating tasks, and keeping everything in one place. The customisation options are strong, allowing you to tailor boards to suit your business needs, and the integrations make it easy to connect with other tools we already use.

Cons

The AI features can be a little confusing to navigate at times, especially when you’re first getting started. There are so many options and tools available that it can feel slightly overwhelming, and it takes a bit of time to fully understand how everything works together and how to best implement it.

### "monday.com - turning Mondays into something better."

April 28, 2026

5.0

My experience with Monday has been very positive overall. I really like how intuitive and easy to use the platform is—it helps me stay organized without wasting time figuring things out. The range of features is solid, and the automations and templates save me a lot of time in my daily workflow, which makes it great value for money. I also appreciate how responsive and helpful the customer support is when I need it. While I’ve encountered a few minor bugs here and there, they’ve never been a major issue and usually get resolved quickly. What I particularly enjoy are the widgets, which make it easier to visualize my work, and the integrations—especially with DocuGen—which add a lot of efficiency to my processes. Overall, Monday helps me stay productive in a simple and effective way.

Pros

I like Monday because it brings a sense of structure and fresh momentum to my week. When it comes to value for money, Monday offers a lot through its robust set of tools that help me stay organized and efficient without feeling like I’m overspending on features I don’t use. Another reason I appreciate Monday is its ease of use. The interface is intuitive, making it simple to manage tasks, track progress, and collaborate with others. I don’t have to spend time figuring things out—it just works. On top of that, their customer support is responsive and helpful whenever I run into questions. In terms of features, Monday covers everything I need, from task management to workflow tracking. The automation capabilities are especially useful, saving me time by handling repetitive tasks. I also find the templates very practical—they give me a solid starting point for different types of projects. Of course, like any platform, there can be occasional bugs and issues, but they’re usually minor and get resolved quickly. Overall, Monday helps me stay productive and organized, which is why I genuinely enjoy using it.

Cons

Actually, nothing I think, I really appreciate the software because it's always evolving. Maybe the fact that sometimes my automations get desactivated but I don't know why - so I went with workflows.

### "Implementing monday.com at digitalLIFT: Early Impressions"

May 5, 2026

4.0

Overall, the experience with monday.com has been positive so far. The platform is already adding value in terms of organization and workflow clarity, and while there is still a learning curve, we are continuing to build comfort and deepen our use of its features over time.

Pros

Finally implementing a centralized project management tool into our workflow has been a major benefit. We’ve especially appreciated monday.com’s flexibility in building custom workflows and automations, which has helped streamline task management, improve visibility across teams, and reduce manual follow-up.

Cons

Adopting monday.com while already operating at full capacity made the onboarding process feel daunting. There is a learning curve to fully utilizing the platform—particularly around structuring boards and automations—which can require a meaningful upfront time investment before teams realize the full benefit.

### "Great for an online media company"

April 27, 2026

5.0

Overall, we love it. It works great for our media business. We use it for editorial calendars, sales tracking, project management, and more.

Pros

It keeps my team and projects organized. The automations really help to keep my team on track. We also utilize forms for nearly everything.

Cons

I find that it's difficult to train new employees on the Monday.com process. Would love more training videos for users of Monday.com vs owners of the account.

### "Build It Your Way — If You Can Justify the Price"

April 28, 2026

4.0

One of the biggest strengths of monday.com is how flexible and customizable the platform is. We really value how easy it is to build workboards that reflect exactly how we operate, rather than being forced into a rigid, one-size-fits-all structure. Our workflows don’t follow typical patterns—there are nuances, exceptions, and unique steps that are essential to how we get things done. Being able to tailor boards to match those realities allows us to stay efficient without compromising our processes or relying on awkward workarounds. It creates a strong sense of ownership over the system and ensures that the tool genuinely supports how we work, instead of slowing us down. The main downside is the pricing. While the functionality is powerful, the cost can be a limiting factor, especially as teams scale or require more advanced features.

Pros

We really value how easy it is to build workboards that reflect exactly how we operate, rather than forcing us into a rigid, one-size-fits-all structure. Our workflows don’t follow the typical patterns you might expect—there are nuances, exceptions, and unique steps that are essential to how we get things done. Being able to tailor the boards to match those realities means we can stay efficient without having to compromise or create awkward workarounds. It gives us a sense of ownership over the system, and ensures that what we’re using actually supports our processes instead of slowing them down.

Cons

One of the biggest downsides for us was the price. It doesn’t seem too bad at first, but it quickly becomes expensive as your team grows. The per-user cost adds up, and because of the way the plans are structured, you often end up paying for more seats or features than you actually need. It also makes simple decisions—like adding someone new or giving temporary access—feel more complicated than they should be, because there’s always a cost attached. Over time, it starts to feel like you’re paying a premium, even if you’re not using the platform to its full potential. So while the system itself works well, the pricing can feel a bit out of proportion to the value you’re getting day to day.

### "Powerful Innovation with a Premium Price Tag"

April 27, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience has been very positive. Despite the higher price point, the platform is stable, intuitive, and highly effective for keeping our team organized. It has become a central hub for our daily tasks, and I would definitely recommend monday.com to any professional looking for a robust project management solution.

Pros

The platform is incredibly feature-rich and it feels like they are constantly innovating. I love how frequently new updates are released that actually improve my workflow. The versatility of the boards allows us to customize our operations exactly how we need them, making it a very powerful tool for business management.

Cons

The pricing is a bit steep, especially for smaller teams or scaling businesses. It feels like every time a great new feature is released, it requires an additional payment or a higher-tier subscription. I wish more of the advanced automation and integration features were accessible without such a significant price jump.
