It works well for me as a solo entrepreneur but I can see how it would work well for a team too. Pros I like the colour coding for different statuses of task progress. I also like that each social media channel has a different colour and each week or project has its own colour. This makes it easier to see what projects you have going on and where you’re at with your task completion. It’s also easy to see your social media content plan and what social media site has a post planned for what day. This was you don’t miss posting to each site on something important like a product launch and you can see where you have holes you might need to fill on the calendar view. Cons It can take some time to fill out all your tasks and social media schedules but this is a good thing to work on when you have some downtime like riding a bus or waiting for an appointment. Pros In my experience has been one of the best productivity and project management software I have used, it is very good for managing and tracking the progress of multiple projects, especially those with deadlines as it provides real-time information on the workload of each member, identifyng who needs help and who can offer it. The ease with which you can track team performance and profit streamlines the entire workflow. Of the points that I can highlight is its interface, its design is minimalist, the well crafted colors, its intuitive menus make it a pleasant platform for the user. Cons While offers effective project management and team collaboration features, the platform does come with its challenges. The initial setup can be awkward and time consuming, requiring research to customize it to your needs. We transformed our company to a cloud-based, automated operation in the last year and Monday has been the center-point of the transformation. Our entire team has embraced the platform and people of all technical abilities are able to use and learn the platform with ease. Pros Monday has changed the way our company operates for the better. We have removed 30,000+ manual tasks a month and created powerful workflows that are allowing us to scale internationally and maintain a smaller office staff who has more work/life balance than ever before. Cons There are small nuances to Monday that I hope are improved in the coming years. The only other thing that is frustrating is that AirTable seems to have better integrations and allow for more to happen with the data than Monday (mainly the ability to sync data with client-facing portals, which would be a huge win for our operations. I used it in my team that we could always have our department work plan at hand, that all department members could know what we are doing, where we are moving, and by when, yet know what their tasks and duties are. helped to connect and account to each other as well as avoid lengthy procedures of finding somewhere stored workplan document, opening it, scrolling it, trying to update, leaving update log etc. Cons I was using the trial version for my team which was very small (3 persons) so it was enough for us. we thought, if we grow, then we would think of investing into a better package. But after the trail version expired, it cut the access of my other team members which was a bit disappointing. Some other task planning and managing softwares after trail remove the features that go with upgraded packages, but still allow collaboration. While Monday leaves your free access, but there is no point to use it if you can't collaborate with anyone... Before this it was frequently quoted we have no time, though when the work had been logged and timings recorded it was quite clear what was taking most of the time which lead to multiple process improvements Pros It is very easy to see what people are working on, what tasks are outstanding and what has been completed. This is also very useful to monitoring regular tasks to identify where improvements can be made due to the length of time being required to complete Cons The system can be quite slow at times especially when bringing data from multiple boards into a single dashboard. If someone changes the visibility of a board it can cause an entire dashboard to fail or prevent people accessing it with no real explanation of how to fix this. If you’re not much a project manager or are easily intimidated by some of the more robust project management tools out there, you will find Monday to be very inviting and user friendly. Large icons, pretty colors, and drag-and-drop functionality. Cons Monday does not allow you to turn off “weekends” in your duration calculations when it calculates due dates for individual boards. It’s either turned on for everyone, or turned off for everyone. That means that if you have teams who work weekends and others who don’t, one team type will have to adjust to these strange calculations. We have come to rely solely on it to manage all of our tasks across several departments like HR, Sales, Operations, etc. The product performs very well. We very rarely have to fix things by hand. It's also relatively easy to set up and integrate with other tools, and surprisingly, it didn't take months to move everyone's tasks onto it thanks to the simple interface. All in all, we're very happy with the serivce from Monday, would definitely recommend. Pros I love how in-depth the product is. There are so many modules for all kinds of different features, like managing documents, inventory, pdfs, and more. It makes it so much easier for us to maintain our IT infrastructure by reducing the number of separate tools we have to integrate and keep up with. It's also a big plus for our budget. Also, I think the interface is masterfully designed to make everything easy to navigate even when you start having more and more boards and projects on it. Cons It woyld be good to have the mobile interface improved a bit. Right now, it's a bit ard to navigate and you can't use a lot of the features on mobile. We'd definitely benefit from having more features available on mobile, especially for our field personnel. We used to be on Excel which worked well for when we had a much smaller scale. But we decided to move to a full fledged project management software to boost our productivitiy, and I'm really glad that we did. Monday saved us from having to purchase and sync half a dozen tools together to get all the functionalities that it has under one roof. It's also well priced compared to most of the alternatives, and you can use it with almost no issues once you get the hang of it. Pros I think the best thing about Monday is the sheer number of things you can do with it without paying extra for every little thing. We don't have tons of IT resources so it's been an absolute treat to be able to use one tool for everything from projects and tasks to inventory, document backup, ideation and more. Cons There's somewhat of a learning curve in the beginning when you're exploring each module. We had to spend three or four weeks learning it before we were ready to move everything to it from Excel. Automations allow you to automate repetitive tasks and workflows, which saves you a ton of time and energy. For example, I have an automation set up so that whenever a new lead comes in, a task is automatically created in my CRM board. This way, I never forget to follow up with a lead. I also have an automation set up so that whenever a task is completed in my project management board, an email is automatically sent to the client to update them on the progress of their project. Cons There’s not much I don’t like about it… sometimes it can be slow to load which is frustrating. But personally it does everything I need it to do.
