In order to keep track of processes and gather data from coworkers, I use boards and forms. While the offered automations pack a punch, the abundance of available templates makes them accessible to beginners. Pros Monday.com's dashboards are the service's strongest suit. It's simple to present data in a way that's both aesthetically pleasing and straightforward. Monday has quickly become the first program I open each morning. Cons Perhaps it's just me, but I'd want more options for how others can see and respond to notifications. For instance, I would like to decide who, if anyone, should be notified if I convert a private board into a public one. Cons You can not download Gantt charts. to make it more effective, you have multiple people using it which can be a high learning curve as everyone has different ways of tracking their tasks. After an initial couple of days to get to grips with it, I have to say that I'm loving using Monday. I especially like the way that you can link boards using a summary so that you can see where you are across multiple projects and that they update automatically. Adding People into the boards and being able to add notes in works very well allowing us to manage many projects across different work streams. Depending on the board, I turn on or off notifications by email as well. Pros I particularly like the fact that I can run different project boards then have an overview board where it summates all the other boards. I have also created dashboards with Gannt and timelines on them. It integrates well with slack and other apps. Cons Although Monday.com provides a variety of collaboration tools, it does not provide support for person to person or group chats. Pros The program management dashboard is awesome and very easy to use. We use it weekly to review all of our projects, regularly to present to project steering committees, and montly executive review. Overall, awesome product. Cons Project management tool hasn't quite mature to the levels that you can use it to manage complex projects with a lot of dependencies and layers of sub-tasks. The sub-tasks, which is only one layer deep for now, are quite new and have ways to go. Reason for choosing monday.com For ease of use and price. Cons Il est difficile de s'adapter au début à monday.com, vu le grand nombre d'options et de possibilités. The quick look at the colors to see the progress was great. There was a place to put notes and mention people in posts to let them know there are tasks waiting for them. However, the customization was not the best. If you added one column to a section, it added it in for all sections. I did not have the time to take a deep dive but maybe if we got a higher package we would have more functions to organize. It was encouraging/discouraging to see the progress of the event and held people to be accountable for their portion. However, having to update this daily as we got closer to our event got too laborious to do. In concept, it's a good tool, but was not the right fit for my company and I. Pros That I was able to see what my co-workers were working on and their progress with the task. They used easy-to-view color-coded options. Cons You are able to clearly see the progress of your co-workers, however, it is hard to make updates or edits to the task. There is an area to make notes, however, it is not in the front for people to see right away. You need to click in to the whole task. Also, when you make a column for one section it creates it for all. Some columns are not necessary for each section and can be confusing when updating. We were able to customize columns easier with excel.
