Pros has tons of customization features (you can even add your own status types). Tasks can be easily organized within groups and you can set up the members, the status, and deadlines in just a few clicks. The app is very well designed, and visually appealing, which makes it both pleasant and incredibly powerful. The integration center is simply awesome, you can easily integrate Google Drive (but not only) to Monday.com to add any file to your items. I haven't explored automation yet, but it looks promising and tells a lot about how large monday.com is in terms of features and options. Cons Some features are unclear, and I sometimes struggle to understand how things are supposed to work. I need to look up the tutorials online, and I wish it were sometimes more self-explicit. Pros This software is indispensable in this new world of remote and hybrid working. has fully replaced our grant management system we have before and the functionalities make it much more user friendly, able to coordinate tasks and proposals so much more effectively. We have also set it up so it tracks the progress and deadlines of our grant-reporting requirements as well which was an area of particular weakness for my organisation before we switched over to this new platform. Cons It took quite a number of weeks for our non-profit status to be approved so I could get the wider team added to the platform- however the fact that it is completely free means I can not moan too much! Each of those sections can be broken into sub sections and it's super easy to track and find conversations or documents relevant to a particular aspect of the project. significantly reduced the time I spend "searching through emails" for that one piece of data I need. Cons I love that the software incorporates social media tools and usage into its platform. I noticed that it was much easier for the younger people in my office to "get it". The older people (including myself) struggle with learning it because we aren't used to using those social media tools. Once you learn them, they are awesome. needs a really good training tool to help the older crowd. The training videos don't cut it. I'm highly impressed with the ease of reporting on this tool, the folks at have really thought through the interoperability of the sight. I also love how many automations and integrations are available, the platform is quite robust in this area and there are enough automations available to automate most any workflow. And customer support/community around the platform is great, the folks at monday.com are quick to respond and help out with getting you up and running with specific needs and requirements. I also love how transparent they make the backlog of new features coming out, they use monday.com boards to communicate their changes, so I really have a lot of faith that they believe in the platform, as they use it to run their business too. Great Product. Cons We use a lot of 'subtasks' on the board, and there are a few key features missing for the subtasks. They are working on these and have made good progress lately, but it is still a little cumbersome to work with. Each thing that you click on seems to open another window with potentially different information that may not reflect in another view. Plus the real time updating of information that can be seen throughout the team is a game changer. We love that you can tag tasks to an individual as well. Pros It is visual so it's easy to see where things are at with a quick glance. As a tool to help our company be more productive, it's nice to have software that does not slow you down navigating or understanding it. Setting up boards can be a little time consuming to figure out how to best lay out the fields for that particular need but it incredibly easy and dare I say intuitive. (i.e. Do I use the date option or timeline option? Can I fit the options I need in a status box or does that need to be a text box?) The format and readability of the site allows even our technologically challenged dinosaurs of the office to use this software with ease. Cons The pricing on this can be a little confusing and prohibitive. Price is broken apart by what features you pay to use as well as number of users. We are a smaller company but have plenty of need in organizing systems and communicating information. Monday seems like it would be a good match for our bottlenecks but doesn't fit what we need exactly, so while we can stretch the capabilities to work for us, it ends up being a bit cost prohibitive for us to do so when adding in useful features (private boards, selective sorting, etc) also adds to the cost with every addition. Monday is much more convenient to what we were doing before (whiteboards, spreadsheets, calendars) as everything is located in one place but our previous solution was free and this fix (that requires quite a bit of tweaking to hold our needs) comes with a monthly price tag. What it boils down to is this software is convenient but not necessary. I don't see it paying for itself with time or cost savings due to having better communication and more of our info located in one location. If it doesn't increase profit, is it worth it? Learning a new software, especially a project management software shouldn't be difficult as well. This system, in my opinion, is the absolute cleanest and easiest-to-use project management platform on the market. Deceptively simple in design, this platform offers a robust (and fun) way to track all of your individual and team projects. This platform requires minimal hands-on time for set up and templates are easy enough to customize for special needs. Pros The clean design is my absolute favorite thing about this platform. Badly designed project management platforms just create noise around data. Onboarding teammates is incredibly fast since the interface is so intuitive, which has lead to higher adoption. Cons Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I wish more people in my organization were on this as opposed to Trello or Jira.
