You can pretty much set up your boards exactly how you need them, whether you’re working on a simple to-do list or a complex project. I’ve added columns for deadlines, priorities, task owners, and even custom fields for specific projects. The templates are great for getting started, but once you get comfortable, the platform is flexible enough to mold it to fit your workflow perfectly. It’s perfect for keeping everything organized in one place, just how you like it. Pros The interface is super visual and easy to use, which makes organizing work way more manageable. I love how everything is laid out in boards that I can customize however I want. It’s made it so much easier to keep track of what needs to be done, who’s doing what, and when everything is due. Cons Can be very complicated to get things setup in the first place. Digital Artist Design Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Monday, great yet fragile out of the box" October 17, 2024 3.0 We were tasked to utilize Monday to keep track of all our assigned tasks at the studio we provided assistance to. At first it looked like an overwhelmingly complicated service to use, but sooner than later, I found out it was quite straightforward to use. It was exactly what the studio needed to keep track of the pending tasks assigned, along with monitoring the overall time it was taking for all the involved contractors to get a whole project done. Pros Despite its complex and extensive array of options; Monday turned out to be quite an intuitive tool, easy to get co-workers and even external contractors on board, and getting everyone familiar with the required tools in little time. Highly customizable, and just simply it was the best solution the team needed out of the box. Cons It was way too easy for any user to completely disorganize or even delete entire sections of a board on accident. For instance, I had an incident where my computer was unresponsive, and trying to click on anything again, I accidentally deleted one of our contractor developers off of an assigned section. Also, my leads often complained at how fragile the organization of the boards on Monday could be, where it seemed that adding a section to an existing board could change the organization of the entire board. I was on the Student Government Association Board and this was one of the ways we shared insightful facts. Also we used this platform to share reminders of upcoming events whether it was just to the members on the board or the entire student body. I liked using it and the logo was eye catching the moment I opened my school email it was the first thing my eyes would lock unto. Pros When information is sent on this platform it is easy to read and keep up. It's also user friendly. Cons When I am using it on my phone instead of my computer the functions are limited. I am impressed by those that know how to optimize it. Cons It's too complicated to learn....does TOO much. I don't have the time or desire to learn something so complicated to get it to work well for what I need. Project management is made much easier by being able to divide them by groups, by days, by priority and thus collaborate more with each other. In last I like how I can track on going tasks and progress on them. Apart from this to look at the entire project governance and helping with the WBS (work breakdown structure) framework as well is a progressive look compared to other project management tools out there. Pros The visibility to look at the status of each project and see daily, weekly updates at a quick glance. Also, the collab function to provide team updates and tag specific person to nudge them about their projects is a great help. Cons The reporting type (graphs) are very basic and limited to a point. I cannot drill it down to the level of detail I need without creating other metric dashboards or cards.
