It has been a lifesaver from my old manual way of doing things. Customer support is also super friendly and very responsive. Pros Llamas! The llama farm keeps me motivated and creates a sense of satisfaction for completed items. The colors accross the site keep things interesting. The software is overall really easy to use and very versatile. It was easy to set up, and I often duplicate a previous board to create a new one. I recently merged two boards and it went very smoothly. There is a student discount available but you have to ask for it. It's not published on their site. They have a very generous discount if you can use it. Cons The mobile version is sometimes glitchy, particularly dashboards. Dashboards on the desktop version also sometimes don't have as much functionality as I would like. Communication with the company has been minimal because we haven't had any issues, but when we have had a question, we've received a prompt response. We had two training sessions for our team and other than an occasional check-in to discuss best practices, our team has been able to use the software without issue. It has helped our office immensely. Pros The visual layout and ability for all of our team to very quickly setup tasks, monitor progress, and collaborate has been the best feature of Monday.com. It's drastically different from other project management solutions on the market, but with our team of younger millennials, the visual "gamified" approach to task management (turning things green to mark them complete) has actually increased productivity and even morale. Cons File sharing and downloading is the slightest bit clunky... we often find ourselves still sharing files via Slack or Dropbox instead of in Monday, but other than that, it's been really great and that's a minor complaint. Currently statuses should be manually moved by people, which is good. But sometimes it is nice to have statuses that automatically reset to PAUSE status or something like that at a given time. You can tell the developers worked hard to make sure it had lots of options for all different situations companies may need for task management and keeping track of projects. Its very clean, easy to move stuff around and communicate with your coworkers on projects within monday.com. Pros Our project manager had left for another opportunity and our boss decided to try monday.com and see how it would go. I can say we were all hesitant about the transition. However, on the other side of it I can say its been really helpful to have everyones tasks all in one place. To be able to see where we are for hours on a project and be able to break down sub categories within a project is also very helpful. It gives a fuller view of everything and a better understanding of what is all on each persons plate. I do also like the drag and drop feature with projects so I can layout it based on priority and finished projects. For the most part I would say monday.com is very straightforward. It just has so many tools within it. Its good to educate ones self on all that it offers to use it to its fullest potential. Cons I would say its a little overwhelming at first. But that all comes down to the user and taking the time to learn all its capabilities. I high encourage that if I company decides to use monday.com to help keep close track of projects and seeing whats on each persons plate. To take a day to dive into it and see how everything works. It took us some time to get it right for our team’s needs but once we did, we found it saving us a lot of time and saving me the headache of questioning if a project was on schedule and where it stood. You can drag and drop, assign projects, and add different columns as needed. You can create private boards which is great to use as a manager. It also integrates with your Google calendar. Cons You can sometimes find yourself spending too much time organizing yourself that it isn’t productive. We had to cut back on some of the features because it was just too time consuming for our team. Reoccurring tasks could be improved.
