Promoter Music Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "Disappointing Customer Service" April 7, 2022 2.0 Their trial is a scam. I had a lot of difficulty cancelling the account trial and had to speak with 2 representatives. They ended up lowering the refund amount from $24 to $19, which I felt was insulting. There are many companies like theirs with bugs in their system so you can't actually cancel online. Very frustrating. Pros It was really easy to set up and the preferred module out of the few we were testing, however their customer service was disappointing. Cons I used my personal credit card to set up the trial and test the site. My team liked this module so we decided we were going to purchase the business account. I cancelled my trial to set up the business account with the business credit card. When I went to update our account I saw that my account was still active. I cancelled it again. I had no confirmation email. I was charge $48. I contacted customer support, they were condescending and offered $24 of a refund and asked if I wanted them to cancel my account. I thought I had already cancelled it. 3 times I had to cancel this account and after a lot of back and forth with the company, they only refunded me $19, less than what the original representative had offered. March 17, 2022 5.0 So happy! Pros The final product and presentation was extremely professional. It looked like I hired somebody to create the invitation. The entire process was easy and streamlined. The confirmation, tickets, etc. all looked like I spent hundreds to create! Cons Editing the website. Sometimes I would delete pre-filled data and would lose editing in that particular field. Last March, when the pandemic hit, the events where we usually sell our products were all cancelled. I knew something needed to be done. Someone approached me about doing an online event, and I didn't even know where to start. I have little to no knowledge in building a website, so I googled it. And I found event create. Because of the ease of this program, 100's of makers have been able to sell their products to a virtual world. It was exactly what I needed at the perfect moment. We are now hosting our 4th Virtual Market, and they keep getting better and better. Pros The features of uploading images and links is very smooth. It's also very easy to create text and link the text and menus. The layout is easy to work with. Cons I have had to delete a part of my page before, and it leaves a gap, instead of moving the rest of the information forward. SAVE constantly. I learned this lesson the hard way. If you don't save, sometimes it doesn't load properly, then when you refresh, you lost the most recent work. Review Source AT Anna T. I've tested over a dozen other platforms and this one has so far, been the best, especially for the value. The customer service has been quick and very helpful as well. 100% recommended. Can't see us moving to a new platform for our events, and we've tried almost everyone out there. Pros The team at EventCreate is incredibly responsive. Any technical issue or question we've ever had has been handled quickly. They have great front end design options for your event website, which is something you typically do not get with most event software or you have to pay 25X what you would pay through Event Create. They are continually adding features on the back end that help us improve our event planning and marketing. Cons Since they are a newer platform they do not have EVERY feature you might find on the backend from EventBrite or more expensive solutions. For a ridiculous LOW FEE I have created an awesome website, sent a Save the Date email out that included the website, I have already received immediate positive responses, I can set up the official registration, they have all options for billing attendees, I will learn the responses immediately, I can link to other websites, you can design with your logos, photos and much more. Pros I have never built a website, I'm 75 and organizing a high school reunion. After only one week I created a great website and sent to almost 700 alumni. I was extremely impressed with the result. I like that you can sell different types of tickets on one platform - ie in person tickets to a show vs virtual tickets to the livestream, vip packages etc. So far I have run into zero issues, which is pretty unheard of these days! I haven't had a chance to communicate with the employees at EventCreate yet because they have been out of the office since I designed our page. They do make it easy to schedule a call and they emailed immediately with an address that I could respond to with questions as well as they have a chat option on their page (not 24/7 though). Cons 24 hour support would be nice, but I understand the difficulties in a startup keeping employees on the clock all day every day. Their different tiers of membership were a bit confusing but Im sure they can clear that up pretty easily with a phone call. Review Source JF Jonathan F. Since I'm a marketing team of one at my new job and didn't want to track RSVPs for our dinner events, this was the perfect solution. I can set up a professional looking page and registration system in 15 minutes.
