## What is Inuvika OVD Enterprise?

Inuvika OVD Enterprise delivers Windows and Linux apps and desktops to any device. With the efficiencies of our Linux based platform, you need less infrastructure.  OVD Enterprise also eliminates most Windows server licenses and Microsoft SQL Server licenses. Inuvika OVD Enterprise is easy to administer. Create a tenant and fully brand each one with the click of a button. The product runs on any hypervisor, including ProxmoxVE, KVM, Nutanix AHV, vSphere, VergeOS and Hyper-V. OVD delivers a secure and excellent end-user experience with features such as best in class USB redirection and two factor authentication built in. Users can access their apps and desktops on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, Chromebook and Raspberry Pi thin clients. Available in over 60 countries.

I have nothing but great things to say about our interactions with Inuvika in general. Incredibly powerful platform, excellent and knowledgeable support, and an unbeatable price. Cannot recommend this platform highly enough!

Pros

We've appreciated the ability to use multiple different hypervisors on the backend, every support interaction we've had has resulted in quick resolution of our questions, and frankly you can't beat the price, especially for the feature set.

Cons

The only non-positive thing I have to say is that the platform can be a little daunting at first when you start kicking the tires (from an admin perspective). That being said, the only reason it feels that way is because of its capabilities - there are a lot of options, but if you read the documentation first, it becomes far more manageable.

With the uncertainty caused by the Broadcom acquisition, we needed to be sure we had a solid product offering that our customers could believe in.

Alternatives considered

[Citrix DaaS](https://www.capterra.com/p/116275/XenDesktop/)

Reasons for choosing Inuvika OVD Enterprise

Citrix is strong, however it is not nearly as competitive price-wise, and doesn't offer the same flexibility with in letting us choose our own hypervisor.

Our experience has been very positive across sales, support, and the product itself. As VDI solutions continue to grow in cost and complexity, it’s valuable to have an alternative that stays within budget while remaining easy to deploy and operate.

Pros

Inuvika stands out for its simplicity, cost efficiency, and able to deliver virtual applications to a wide range of use cases.

Cons

A little bit of a learning curve if you are jumping in for the first time or if you're coming from other VDI platforms.

Overall, the experience has been very positive. The platform is stable, performs well, and has met our requirements without causing unnecessary overhead.

Pros

The simplicity and stability stood out the most. It’s easy to administer, doesn’t require constant attention, and performs well even with multiple users.

Cons

Nothing major stood out as a problem, the system is easy to understand and configure. The VDI interface is extremely easy to navigate

It's a excellent solution, which I did not know even existed until speaking with another vendor of a solution we purchased from them. We moved away from a "competitor" and will not look back.

Pros

OVD enterprise is lite weight solution for our VDI setup. We can use thin clients, browsers or OVD Ent, desktop client for VDI access. You can deliver virtual desktops and applications. The most important piece we like is the support we receive if we have issues - in a nutshell fantastic. Last but not least is the pricing. Very cost effective.

Cons

The only thing I found with OVD Enterprise is learning the interface for the setup and management. It's not overly difficult but can take some getting used to.

Overall, great experience working with their sales, presales, and support teams. Product does exactly what they say it will.

Pros

Many things! 1.Tight integration with VergeIO which was key. 2. Very simple to use and deploy 3. Awesome licensing model by doing concurrent users instead of named users 4. User experience was awesome, wide array of support for client side

Cons

I can't really say there is anything negative about Inuvika. Their team has been great both from a sales and technical prospect.

All experience was gained through hands-on work during the POC, in-depth review of the documentation, and a comparative analysis with Omnissa technology.

Pros

The solution offers an outstanding breadth of features, delivered in a single, unified platform with just one SKU. A key differentiator is its native multi-tenant capability, which enables efficient management, scalability, and isolation across multiple environments—all within the same solution.

Cons

The market is currently dominated by large suppliers such as Omnissa and Citrix in the VDI and application virtualization space. To gain greater market traction, it is essential to build and showcase more customer success cases

After Omnissa’s pricing spiked almost tenfold, we moved to Inuvika expecting to compromise on something — performance, usability, or support. Instead, we gained all three. The platform is lean, stable, and flexible, delivering the same end-user experience at a fraction of the cost. It’s clear that Inuvika has built OVD with real-world IT environments in mind. Our migration has been smooth, our users are happy, and we’ve regained control over our virtual desktop strategy without vendor lock-in.

Pros

The simplicity and transparency. Deployment was fast, integration with our existing Active Directory and hypervisors was seamless, and performance has been consistently solid. The licensing model is fair and predictable — none of the eye-watering cost escalations we saw with Omnissa. User sessions are fast to start, management is cleanly designed, and the support team actually listens and responds.

Cons

The admin console takes a bit of adjustment coming from Horizon, and some of the advanced policies could be surfaced more intuitively. Nothing show-stopping — more a case of learning a new rhythm after years in the VMware ecosystem.

Switched from

[VMware Horizon](https://www.capterra.com/p/203536/Horizon/)

Omnissa’s costs had gone through the roof — close to ten times what we were paying before — and it just stopped making sense. We needed something that could deliver the same reliable VDI experience without draining the budget or tying us into a giant vendor ecosystem. Inuvika OVD ticked all the boxes: straightforward to run, great performance, and a licensing model that actually feels fair. It let us keep everything we liked about our old setup, minus the financial pain.

Alternatives considered

[Parallels Remote Application Server](https://www.capterra.com/p/246688/Parallels-Remote-Application-Server/)

Reasons for choosing Inuvika OVD Enterprise

Parallels RAS is solid, but it’s still heavily tied to the Windows ecosystem. That means extra dependencies, more patching, and less flexibility in how you build or scale your environment. Inuvika OVD, on the other hand, runs natively on Linux and supports a mix of Windows and Linux application servers equally well. That open design fits perfectly with how we manage infrastructure.

Pros

It offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional VDI solutions, with licensing that scales well and doesn’t feel bloated with hidden costs.

Cons

While the admin console is user-friendly, advanced configuration can take time to master compared to larger, more establishe Some areas of the documentation could be more detailed, especially for troubleshooting or advanced networking scenarios

It is a tool that achieves the objectives of the support we need, in addition to its support areas fully willing to solve and provide assistance to its clients.

Pros

The versatility of the services in providing support to our clients. It is an intuitive tool for the user area.

Cons

It is probably somewhat complex to understand how it works in terms of architecture, but it is rather perhaps an internal matter of how it is designed for our company.
