Pros
It was easy to switch all our information from Campground manager over to Astra as it is the same company.
I have used this in the past and is perfect for online bookings. It's also great for adding additional items needed to enhance the camper experience.
I like that it is very easy to use and understand.
Cons
The way that Astra set up somethings makes it way to frustrating. You shouldn't have to do 15 steps just to input a start meter read.
I do not like the way you can't edit after you cancel or no show. The site is glitchy and shifts from a reservation to the POS menu, during a reservation.
Inconstancy in command functions, on some screens i have a print button and on other screens i am forced to right click. If i am taking cash i hit apply but if i am taking a CC I hit tab.

"Great Choice!!"
Overall: I switched to Astra for real time online reservations, and was very pleased with ease of set up and the support I received from the Campground Manager team.
Pros: Ease of use, Online real time reservations are a fast growing need in our industry

"ASTRA customization "
Pros: ASTRA is very versatile in customizing it to fit your needs. Their customer support is always available to answer questions.
Cons: It's very difficult to make changes on your own. They give you a manual for step by step changes, but each change of one price or category is a total of 10-15 steps. Its easiest to ask them so you make sure you do each step correct and you do not have to start over.
"Astra Has a long way to go"
Overall: We worked with Mission Management for over 20 years using Campground Manager. This was not a perfect system but it was stable and predictable. We were very excited to find out that there was a new software coming out (Astra) because we thought this would be as stable as Campground manager but more user friendly........wrong. Unfortunately they threw the baby out with the bathwater and Astra was not even capable of doing the very basics like producing a checkout list. My first year was met with double bookings, lost reservations, reservations showing up under the wrong customers (because you have to click "add" if it was a new customer and not if it was a returning customer) and a host of other issues some serious some just annoying. I will admit it was getting better for a while but they seem to have stall on fixing issues and started focusing on creating new options with their own set of issues.
Pros: I like the grid function, it is well done and fairly easy to use and customize. Online reservations are pretty seamless until some one changes a setting or upgrades the version in use and throws thing off.

IF i right click and select "add POS item" it does something different than clicking the Icon marked "add POS item". Consistency would go a very very long way in helping ease of use but that is lost on Mission Management. The system has recently begun attaching unit info to customer info which at first glance seems like a good idea unfortunately it cause conflict in ways you cannot even imagine if the unit on the reservation is different.
"Needs a Make Over"
Overall: I like it better than Campground Manager.
Pros: You are allowed to take one payment for multiple reservations. You can move people to another site from the grid by right clicking. Just to name a few.
Cons: I do not like the way you can't edit after you cancel or no show. The site is glitchy and shifts from a reservation to the POS menu, during a reservation. You can not take different forms of payment on the POS menu for one transaction.

Overall: I like that this is such an easy product to use, but the kinks need to be worked out.
Pros: I like that it is very easy to use and understand.
Cons: There are often glitches, where it will over charge customers, or not post payments. There are other times when the system will just shut down completely when you hit the enter button

Pros: It is pretty easy to take a payment and check people in and out. The little faces and icons are super cute.
Cons: I use to use campground manager and it was so much easier to change anything. The way that Astra set up somethings makes it way to frustrating. You shouldn't have to do 15 steps just to input a start meter read. It should be click and go like it was on the old system . I wish they would make a report that shows what type of payment was put where. If you checked someone in and they paid electric and site and then another that paid cash. It should show you how much of electric total was cash and how much was card.

Overall: Good
Pros: Everything although making me say more to complete the survey does not make me happy.
Cons: Sometimes froze again. Not happy that I have to write more to complete this survey.

Overall: Overall the experience has been quite pleasant.
Pros: this software really does accommodate a number of Campground needs and has great customer support.
Cons: there was definitely a steep learning curve when it came to learning Astra as well as training our staff members
"Astra for a campground"
Overall: Astra was confusing to navigate and not simple to teach others like other campground software. Decided it was not for us.
Pros: It was easy to switch all our information from Campground manager over to Astra as it is the same company
Cons: The look is very outdated. Feel like some of the features were a lot better with their old system campground manager
