### "Robust access software any IT pro should have. "

September 24, 2025

5.0

Overall my experience with Screen Connect has been very positive. It is my go-to when I need to remotely manage devices. I love its robust capabilities, and the price is very competitive with other software's that don't have as many features. Customer support is unmatched as well and they are always willing to take care of any issues with the software itself.

Pros

Remote access is a breeze with this product. Whether you need to have it installed on a machine or simply need to provide direct support to end users. The ability to view all screens, deploy scripts, and transfer files is always a bonus. Directing users to the remote support page is easy with a quick link or a added as a clickable on your website. Installing access on machines is as easy as clicking a button. No need for all the extra stuff that comes with other RMM's. This has definitely taken our customer support to another level.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a bit hard for older users to find and run downloads. Theres lots of pop ups the users have to accept before a connection is established. This is easily fixed with a little bit of walking through but can become a hassle when trying to assist those who are a little bit less tech savvy.

### "Great remote access tool"

May 20, 2026

5.0

Great, I am considering using it for my home lab. it is one of my favorite tools we use at as it is fast and simple and rarl;y has trouble.

Pros

Fast and easy to help people not under our RMM, and a great secondary back up if our primary RMM goes down. I can get a users connect with a quick email.

Cons

sometimes when I ahve been connected a while it gets funky but a quick reconnect fixes it. Better audio connection would be good for helpoign diagnosing speaker and microphone issues

### "A great tool for our team"

June 10, 2025

4.0

Overall, we're generally satisfied. It’s made managing remote support for our clients much easier and more efficient. The features and reliability are better than other tools we’ve used, and the backstage mode is a real standout. I’d definitely recommend it to other MSPs looking for a solid, professional remote support solution.

Pros

ConnectWise ScreenConnect is highly reliable for us. Not only that, it’s fast, and makes remote support easy for our us as well as our customers. More importantly, it's super easy to deploy and roll out to all our clients’ devices.

Cons

There are frequent updates, so our sys admin has to keep it up to date regularly and occasionally, there can be a bit of lag when connecting to Macs or when using high-resolution monitors.

### "10/10 Remote Access Software!"

January 18, 2025

5.0

I use this software to manage thousands of computers/servers everyday and it is made a breeze with ConnectWise ScreenConnect. The backstage features allow me to set off commands and install software without the user being stopped from working and I can also send them messages if required. A lot of the time, there are network dropouts and this software makes it easy to check out if this has happened on a surface level, so also very handy!

Pros

Easy to navigate access to machines and the layout is customisable dependent on your criteria. For my case it is whether consent is required or not, and this makes it easy to find certain companies. The backstage mode is critical to our work, as it allows us to implement updates and changes without disturbing users. The chat system also reduces call time as I can chat about issues and easily multi-task.

Cons

No complaints, this system is wonderful.

### "Very good tool for remote support"

July 28, 2025

5.0

Good technical support and active community, advanced security, and many convenient advanced features.

Pros

The best remote assistance software, easy to use and with lots of handy features for an IT department, plus it's fairly simple to implement.

Cons

The price is a little high compared to other competitors, but in my opinion it's justified. You have to get used to using it, it's not exactly intuitive, but you get used to it without any problems.

### "Best Remote Access Tool Ever"

June 27, 2025

5.0

This is the best remote access tool. Nothing comes close. I have been using it for about twelve years.

Pros

It is fast and easy and flexible. Backstage is a killer feature. I can fix a lot of issues with disrupting the client.

Cons

The agents are not signed so if you use ThreatLocker or something similar, it is going to be hard upgrading.

### "Simple to use but super powerful"

May 23, 2025

5.0

It's something we use on daily basis in my line of work. Its a very important tool for us. We use the software to gather information about our clients machines also very often.

Pros

How powerful it is. Gives us total control of the machine and is super easy for the customer to give us the access to their machine.

Cons

The menu bar at the top can be a little annoying at times to use. But that's really the only thing I can think of.

### "Reliable and easy to use"

May 7, 2025

5.0

Overall I enjoy the product. we have it integrated with Ninjaone so we can single click start a remote session from our RMM. the adhoc session are quick and easy to walk an end user through setting up.

Pros

reliability and ease of use is great. It is very easy to deploy and we can rely on it always being available. Integration is great also.

Cons

The interface can be a bit messy. we have accidently clicked on the wrong adhoc session before and they dont self-cleanup at all.

### "A product with minimal frustrations."

December 31, 2024

ConnectWise ScreenConnect has provided us with instant connectivity to our remote devices and offered more integration options.

Pros

Exemplary performance and stability of the software. The software also has very professionalised and responsive vendor support services providers.

Cons

Pricing of the software is always a challenge. It keeps going up.

### "Great Remote Assist Tool With Powerful Features"

September 27, 2024

4.0

Overall, I like it and I would recommend it.

Pros

I like that it’s easy to install, the UI is decent and technical. There are tons of features and more than 1 way to do things. Being able to go “backstage” and run commands, manage data, change settings, etc.

Cons

It was a little buggy sometimes but all software has bugs. There are times I wanted features to work or be implemented like remote printing, separate displays into different windows, record a single screen at a time if there are multiple monitors.

### "Easy to Use but Product Lagged and was Slow"

May 5, 2025

I liked that the product was user friendly, but I did not like how slow the product was.

Pros

ConnectWise ScreenConnect was quite user friendly. Setting up my screen display for the non-profit I work for was a breeze.

Cons

It was super slow and it lagged a lot. This made it difficult to use at times because it would sometimes take upwards of 10-30 minutes to load.

### "Connectwise tool for managing servers and workstations"

October 22, 2024

5.0

Very good tool to have all devices centralized to avoid connecting each time to different vpn, and to go directly to each business and different countries.

Pros

The best thing is that you have all servers and workstation consoles centralized, if you have different business units or supporting other countries, you can have a better approach using Connectwise

Cons

The only thing I have noticed is just that for a couple of servers, sometimes the CW agent needs to be re-installed since it reports as disconnected.

### "Involved setup but a top-tier remote access product"

August 14, 2024

5.0

We love this product. We use it for internal support access and unattended access as well as remote support where the user may not have the full ScreenConnect client installed on their system.

Pros

Very user friendly. We began using this product to support third-party access with time-based windows as opposed to the traditional VPN / RDP method. This allows our specific teams to provide their own connection requests to vendors who require temporary internal access to specific resources in our environment. We are able to run commands against machines remotely and view basic information about the resource.

Cons

There's a fairly intensive and not the most intuitive setup process if you're customizing permissions and the look-and-feel of the client application.

### "ConnectWise ScreenConnect"

June 14, 2024

Overall I am very satisfied with the product. We compared it against another well known screen sharing tool and this was way less expensive for the same features.

### "It is simple to access the server with ConnectWise remotely."

March 2, 2023

3.0

Mainly what we are dedicated to is structuring programmatic projects of our computer and hardware services, it is essential in this sense that when a problem arises at any time we can be 100% notified with notifications to repair the process of any program that we have in operation. on the server. This program has undoubtedly helped us a lot, we don't need to go back to work, with a home computer it's enough to be able to check the server, which is as if we were doing it live at work.

Pros

Initially, it is very easy to be able to connect everything with connect wise, especially for what we use it for, which is the testing server. Reciprocally, it generates more learning information where we move very well. Many times I leave the office and I receive messages of serious concerns about server errors where technicians are waiting for my help and direction. Thanks to the program, I can easily generate this by connecting from my home and everything has gone great.

Cons

There are some applications that are not compatible and tools that conectwise does not have at this time, other programs do.According to this, currently it will not be an impediment to change it, but in the future it may possibly be.

### "Connectwise Control - An amazing remote app"

March 28, 2023

5.0

Overall, ConnectWise Control has been a popular and reliable remote desktop software that has provided many useful features for our engineering team. Engineers have found it easy to use, and appreciate the ability to customize the software to meet their specific needs.

Pros

Many users have found the software intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to provide remote support to clients. Also, ConnectWise Control is known for its strong security features, including two-factor authentication, session recording, and permission-based access. This helps for external and internal security requirements.

Cons

The pricing model may not be suitable for smaller businesses or those with limited budgets. Security permissions are confusing but support are there to help with that.

### "Geat product very reliable and good value "

November 20, 2018

4.0

I think the previous box covered it as best as I can. you spend a lot on advertising your new and other products but it is impossible to buy them when the sales people ignore you even when your a current customer. I have had so many little issues that should have never happened and not been treated very well and fixing them only caused more problems that cost me and caused major problems for my company and our ability to support our customers. While I like the product I am very disappointed with the back office staff and how issues are handled and customers are ignored even whey they are begging for help. I left another vendor to come here when I had an amazing sales rep held me and get my onboarding taken care of and help me in every step of they way learn the basic of the product. She even tried 2 times to get me in touch with other departments for MSP products I needed with no luck before she left the company. I Am about to sign up with PCmatic later this week as I need a MSP product and wish it could have been with Connnectwise . I am not sure if I will stay wit the product I had one heck of a ride in my year and a half or so and issues that should have never happened and when they did should have never been handled the way they did that crippled my company. I apologize if my review may upset anyone but you did ask for it I am taking the time to be honest and tell you my true experience It is important to know the truth on how the customer feels. I hope it helps you.

Pros

Very reliable, The ability to preview desktops is a huge plus and adding 3rd party plug ins is wonderful.

Cons

Wish it had a roll out tool for installing on multiple computers. The platform does go down from time to time and you can self fix it by moving your system to a different location yourself. There are issues with the license counter and many times it says I am out of licenses and we are unable to use the product when we still have license available not being used. Two support requests tickets have been sent and they never respond. Support is a hit and miss. Email support and they will not reply or respond so it is useless , Chat support is hit or miss depending on who you get but if you get the right person it is great. Sales is very disappointing I have been using the product for over a year and so many times I tried to contact sales by email and phone about buying other products the sales reps will never call you back or respond so I gave up and went with another vendor. The sales rep I was working with that was amazing when I started with the Connectwise no longer works there so I am just left floating out here. When I had issues with my license it was a nightmare and ended up costing me a bunch of money to fix I have to repay for my subscription I was already paid for. I gave up trying to resolve the issue paying for something that I already paid because my company was down I needed the product working so we can support our customers. I still have a balance on my account due that I do not owe from that nightmare. Its a good product but there are serious back office issues.

### "Simple, Easy to use"

November 13, 2019

5.0

Initially used ConnectWise Control (Formerly ScreenConnect) for simple IT support sessions (credential resets, issues with software, etc.). Later deployed agents to network. We found this product much more superior than other alternatives available on the market such as Kaseya. Sessions with speedy, and tools were easy to use like viewing one monitor individually, or performing maintenance discretely in open office environments. Allowed for support sessions to be performed remotely by staff extending the teams' effectiveness even in inclimate weather or times when IT staff worked remotely.

Pros

Formerly Screenconnect, Connectwise Control is an easy to use remote software that gives IT professionals all the necessary support session tools to easily perform remote IT sessions with end users. - Includes chat messaging - Includes options to view services, logs, and processes - Allows technician to blackout monitor / block keyboard presses during session - Allows for easy facilitation of temporary remote sessions by non-technical staff - Easy facilitation to give "passes" (timed access) to end-users and technical support staff - Allows for basic scripting options for alerting and webhooks - 2FA Authentication enabled

Cons

\- Difficult initially to setup department groups of computers, - Not a lot of documentation on setting up webhook scripting, - Database maintenance can be tedious - Outside basic functionality (which is all you need), selective and limited add-on options and integrations (compared to other product Automate \[labtech\]) - Uses Java over HTML5 only.

Alternatives considered

[Zoho Desk](https://www.capterra.com/p/169505/Zoho-Desk/)

Reason for choosing ScreenConnect

Connectwise's product is just enough what you need for facilitating remote sessions without much of the overhead of complicated help desk CRM setup. With Control, login, generate a link, open the link on the target PC, and the agent installed and registers easily. Agents (MSI) should also be available to deploy via Group Policy as well.
