### "Why didn't I get this a long time ago?"

February 4, 2021

5.0

Sharing a desktop in Teams or WebEx is so limiting due to single monitor and non-admin restrictions. This gets past all that. The ability to install remote agents on our assets to allow unattended maintenance is excellent.

Pros

The ability to perform admin actions on the remote machine.

Cons

Having to download the little executable is a nuisance.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing ScreenConnect

The pricing model fit my business better.

### "Almost Perfect"

February 2, 2017

4.0

I work on small business and home user PCs freelance and tried out 13 different remote support tools before deciding on ScreenConnect. Yes, I'm a sick man, I know. Looking at my documentation right now and the only three that I even considered were ScreenConnect, GotoAssist and Teamviewer. My criteria was that it be easy to install for the end user, support two screens, support Wake-on-LAN and unattended access, support run-as-admin and sending a ctl-alt-del, support all new Windows OS, have good file transfer capabilities and be affordable. Zoho was a pain to install and the sessions got stuck (no kb for customer after disconnect). AeroAdmin didn't work when I tried to reconnect--no unattended access either. Chrome desktop couldn't do half of what I need. 4remotesupport didn't support Win10. Logmein was OK but the price was too much. Bomgar gave me an error when trying to press ctl-alt-del. And there were others that I will skip. ScreenConnect can do it all for me and for a lower price than TeamViewer and GotoAssist. The latter two are more polished, but I'm sticking with ScreenConnect due to the pricing options. I only wish that it came with more than 10 permanent installs on the lower $/month plan. I would still want to up to the next plan later anyways because I want wake-on-lan for when I deal with more servers. But ya, the end-user has to install a little app each time you start a session and you can't reboot, etc without the permanent install app on their PC. That makes it a bit of a pain, but still a great starter tool. Overall, 4.5/5

### "Excellent remote control software"

October 23, 2018

4.0

I have evaluated and used several other "remote control" alternatives. And, ConnectWise Control is by far the most cost effective, with the highest level of flexibility and compatibility.

Pros

Compatibility and flexibility. I am using the remote control software across several platforms. Including Windows, Linux, OSX, and android. I haven't found anything that I could not accomplish.

Cons

I don't have any complaints. However, to utilize some of the features are not intuitive. But, that is due to the flexibility of the software.

### "Powerful and fully featured remote support software that's easy to use!"

February 1, 2018

5.0

Clients are thrilled that I'm able to assist them almost instantly!

Pros

The platform is extremely powerful and allows nearly limitless branding and customization. There's honestly more options that I believe most people will ever use but it's GREAT to have them. The agent works flawlessly on Macs and PCs and installs in about a minute. There are also great extensions available to add to the already full set of features the core platform offers.

Cons

Connectwise Control needs major work on the mobile side. Their Android and iOS apps need a massive overhaul to compete with other major remote support offerings (LogMeIn, TeamViewer) They also need to allow remote viewing of iOS devices now that this feature is available from Apple - they did say that it's in the works but not estimated release as of 2/1/18

### "I'm Better At Work With ConnectWise Than Ever"

May 1, 2022

5.0

I have a wonderful and satisfying experience whiles using this software. Very easy to install, user-friendly, and most importantly it can be used across most iOS-like Windows, Linux, OS X, and Andriod.

Pros

The features of multifunctionality. It's a perfect solutions provider for meetings, easy remote access, help desk, education, and so much more.

Cons

I am yet to find any issues with this software. So far, it's at the peak of its game-perfect.

Reason for choosing ScreenConnect

ConnectWise is so easy to use. It has more functionality than the other software I was using.

### "Small MSP"

October 12, 2018

I use Connectwise Control to manage over 500 machines for various customers/clients. I really like being able to host on my own hardware, but I understand they also have cloud based solutions.

Pros

It is very reasonable priced and the upgrade path from version to version is also very good

Cons

Support thru the forum can sometimes be frustrating.

Remove Support

Pros

Easy to use, easy to customize, and reliable. WOrks well over multiple connection types, and supports all features in one price (for control) --- no upgrades necessary. Basically they took everything good about logmein and logmein central which I used religiously until back to back to back years of price doubles or more.

Cons

Have had a few issues with updates, but understand and support their desire to keep improving their product

Easy and inexpensive remote access to machines

Pros

Small footprint, easy to update. Support has been responsive when I've needed it. Easy to send remote commands to machines for various back-end tasks.

Cons

Nothing at this point. I've been using this software for 3 years and haven't found a downside yet...

### "Connectwise is the wise way to connect"

June 19, 2019

5.0

Working from home is better than a VPN. Having key clients ready at hand when they have an issues is nice.

Pros

Easy to use. Never seems to break. They have made the installation very easy and are adding new features regularly.

Cons

Meeting portion is less than what others offer but that is not my focus for the product.

### "Practical Support"

July 30, 2019

5.0

Pros

Relatively quick established of sessions. Excellent chat support. Copies with poor networks relatively well.

Cons

Issues with the agent on MACs with either inability to control without intervention by a target user and black screens. A recent support session issue was rapidly resolved with a chat, but the online help should have been able to provide me with the solution. I typically find the help difficult to navigate to a useful answer.

### "Great value for the money"

November 30, 2018

4.0

I've been using the software for over 4 years now and it has helped me support users remotely without subscribing to a monthly service that I don't necessarily need. Customer support has always been helpful if an issue arises and they are quick to respond to inquiry.

Pros

The software is fairly easy to use and lets you stay in control of your hosted environment (if you want to). The technician portal is easy enough to understand without a training manual and the software offers multiple plugins to extend functionality.

Cons

As of late, they have discontinued support for hosting on the Mac OS platform, which is why I originally bought it. They also hint to the fact that Linux support may also be dropped in future releases. I don't think this should be exclusively hosted on Windows servers, since many of the advanced crowd this software is geared for is either running Linux or Mac.

Pros

Most options are easy to use once they are set up. I like being able to see everyone's schedule for the day on one page.

### "ScreenConnect Exceeded All Our Expectations"

April 10, 2017

5.0

Our needs are simple, but we must have an application that we can depend on as 100% of our clients rely on our support remotely. So when we started looking for an alternative to LogMeIn Rescue, our search brought us ScreenConnect. From day one, they've provided us with a dependable solution that includes feature rich applications and timely support. A solution that has and continues to exceed what we thought no one could match with LogMeIn. The best part of of this transition is the cost savings. We replace our LogMeIn product with ScreenConnect for 1/3rd the price, again WITHOUT loosing ANY functions and ACTUALLY we gained in functions. I can't say enough about our refreshing find in ScreenConnect. While we're only approaching 1-year of using ScreenConnect, it has been a celebrated transition, not by our company, but by the hundreds of clients we support.

Pros

Everything, the ease of setup to our interactions with our clients. Very straight-forward and simple.

### "Great value addition to RMM"

March 2, 2019

5.0

Pros

We needed a solution for ad how client connections and CW Control slots right into that role for us as our RMM solution doesn’t have that functionality. Very cost effective too.

Cons

The only thing I would say is that additional platforms and OS’s could be added as remote control targets

### "Simple and Easy"

January 11, 2019

5.0

We have been able to connect to franchise community much easier and provide quicker and more robust support for some of our franchise base that would have been limited with previous softwares. We also are able to maximize the value of the Control system because the pricing value is so good, we can afford to have more users than in previous brands.

Pros

We loved the pricing structure, the allowance for installed agents, ease of use for non-IT users. Also the simplicity of the system working with customers.

Cons

There isn't really anything to not like about Control. The ability to use the Meetings function to have a recurring Meeting/Training is something small but we don't really use it for that purpose anyways.

Overall, it is a great product for many types of customer service work.

Pros

### "Simple and effective remote access"

May 5, 2022

5.0

Pros

The ability to quickly connect in a simple security verification allows remote access quickly for troubleshooting and support of remote stations

Cons

Once it's installed it can be difficult to turn the process off and when we first implemented it the software would trigger systems that were in sleep mode to start back up randomly.

Overall, it's been great as a tool for me to support my customers.

Pros

Cons

Tech support. I had done an update on my software that caused a bug. (my new access builds did not save the name) You made me purchase a newer version to fix the bug in your software.

### "I owe ConnectWise Control for the success of my business"

July 29, 2019

5.0

When I first encountered this product it was called ScreenConnect. So I have seen the development of 'Control' but also the other products ConnectWise offers. I believe ConnectWise is a good company providing tools for IT support businesses such as myself.

Pros

ConnectWise Control allows me to remotely control and thus repair or modify my client's computers and servers. Also, while on their workstations I can access other devices on their subnet too... such as printers and routers.

Cons

I will encounter little things, such as I cannot cut and paste from my controlling computer to the remote computer. But over time... and with feedback from users like me those features get implemented.

Pros

It's easy to use and setup, reliable remote connection software with a lot of capabilities and a reasonable price tag. Regular updates and patches that improve the product's functionality and reliability.

Cons

Some issues with connections to Windows 10 machines that were addressed in the recent version updates, some occasional crashes (mostly connecting to Windows 10 machines)
