### "Connectwise - Screenconnect"

October 28, 2021

5.0

I love it. It has helped with my work. Instead of free or limited remote software, it is cost effective and reliable. I can add as many endpoints as I need. Even remotely if on my network. Has small app that runs as a service. I have complete control of all of my computers...

Pros

It is always working. I have come to rely on this service. Setting up new workstations is a quick thing AND have the ability to support other workstations outside my network.

Cons

It MAY be a bit clunky or difficult to get add-ons to work

### "New User's Thoughts"

February 8, 2021

5.0

Over the last 20 years, I've used all sorts of remote control software, most for a year or more. I used Log Me In when it was the preferred remote control solution at Connectwise several years ago and was very happy with that program, but I changed RMM program, and switched over to Solarwinds old Take Control, which did the job, but did not have the features that ConnectWise Control has. I've used Zoho Assist, which was inexpensive, but again lacked the features with CW Control. Also used Splashtop Remote for over a year which again was just about the same price, but without the features we have here.

Pros

I really like the ease with which I can connect with my customer's machines. Also, their command center at the top middle of the screen sometimes gets in the way but can be moved around. That Command center has some impressive tools in it, more than most, and they are very useful. From the Managed Toolbox that you can completely customize with your own tools to the help box which lets you do Google searches without leaving the application. The chat feature works as expected but could be improved. And it's affordable.

Cons

When you chat with a customer and sent the chat, it would be nice if the customer's chat window popped up on the customer's screen with your chat, instead of blinking on the Task Bar. I usually have to go to the customer's machine, click on the blinking ConnecWise Control icon to let the customer know that I have information or an answer for them.

### "The best Remote Control Tool on the market"

January 8, 2019

5.0

I have been using this produce for many, many years, originally as ScreenConnect. It has been a valuable tool that I could not go without. I am extremely satisfied with the product. I just hope the pricing model doesn't continue to be changed like it was late 2018.

Pros

ConnectWise Control has a straight forward pricing model, works extremely well both for remote tech as well as customer. Extremely easy to start a session as well as access a running session. With the Access Sessions (always running) option, you can add all your managed computers and quickly remote in. This is one of the first to support all major operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iOS. This gives quick and easy access to all types of remote computers, no longer do you need to support multiple remote access tools to support your customer base.

Cons

I only have two complaints, the pricing model although fair, can get out of control if you want to self host or if you need the higher tier plans. The auditing and reporting is something that has always been partially implemented and needs a good bit of work. Also the pricing model was recently changed to move some features to the higher priced tier, this brings consurn that this activity may continue forcing a high monthly rate to maintain the same feature set. Hopefully this isn't true.

### "Personal Experience with ConnectWise Control "

December 24, 2022

It saves me travelling costs as I don't have to be on site to repair or provide support to my clients, thus saving me money and time.

Pros

Controller meetings start rapidly.Specialist establishments rush to finish. On premise server refreshes rush to finish, commonly in under 10 minutes.Impromptu help meetings are natural and simple to begin

Cons

the controller task bar bugs out more than it ought towhile doing a far off meeting from the help tab, possibly a few times it prompts for adminstrator access when this entrance is required. more often than not it simply dark screen when UAC input is required.it doesn't scale well when multiple screens are engaged with a far off meeting

### "CW Control is more bang for your buck"

June 28, 2021

5.0

One of our clients also had Wyse terminals in place at some of their locations and we had no choice but to use VNC for those outdated terminals. Once they converted to a WIN10 environment, we were ecstatic to be able to use Control for their entire system. Cannot say enough good things!

Pros

There are so many ways CW Control integrates with CW applications - Control can be used from within a ticket 2 different ways - both of which the sessions are attached to the ticket for ease of access to the recording. You can access Control from Automate, or from a web browser and a unique URL. If you need to see the actual environment/set up of the workstation area for additional troubleshooting, such as where a UPS is plugged in or what is plugged into the UPS, you can even start a Control session using the user's camera on their mobile phone! what will they come up with next?!

Cons

I honestly cannot say anything that I do not like about Control. CW is continually improving the product.

### "One of the most useful remote access tools for troubleshooting problems"

March 29, 2023

5.0

We decided to buy ConnectWise because of its reasonable pricing and high service quality; the ConnectWise platform has been around for quite some time and is highly recommended. ConnectWise's platform allows the same PC to be reached from any other q if required, saving time on solution issues affecting any enterprise computer. The highest-quality, most cost-effective, and most user-friendly remote access tool available.

Pros

We appreciate its user-friendliness and the fact that we were always able to get a prompt response from their helpful support team, suggesting options that would work best for us. ConnectWise is one of the best remote access solutions because of its encryption feature, which keeps our data safe while being transmitted and received via the platform.

Cons

The ConnectWise platform has provided us with far more advantages than drawbacks, but we have noticed that the mobile version is often much slower than the desktop version.

Great value software that helped us improve our service and support.

Pros

Easy to install. Chat option can be initiated from customer side and appear to technician. Doesn't consume Internet resources or computer hardware. Stability and doesn't face problems. Admin console can be adjusted as I wany. Can create groups and add devices to different groups.

Cons

There is no chat sound...just a blue dot appear next to group and device.

Reason for choosing ScreenConnect

Price and it was offered as a part ofor whole endpoint solution. Features offered overall was great.

### "An invaluable tool for supporting clients remotely"

April 12, 2019

5.0

Connecting remotely to help clients makes up about 25% of my total revenue, so ConnectWise Control is a huge part of my business. I have used other paid services in my decades of providing computer support, but each one has raised its prices too far and too fast for me to continue using it. So far, ConnectWise has not done this, and I hope they continue to be affordable.

Pros

The remote access tool is robust and easy to configure and use. The interface has so many tools that I haven't even had time to try all of them, but each one I've tried has provided excellent functionality. Having several different ways to get a remote customer connected has just been awesome. I love the customization with my company's information. It is very competitively-priced, and they have not raised the price very much (if at all) in the several years I've been using it.

Cons

I have had a few clients whose computers were so badly infected or corrupted that they couldn't get the software to install, but they could get Chrome Remote Desktop to install. I assume that the limited set of features in CRD and piggybacking on the Google Chrome installation that was already there helped in those situations. I think it has happened around five times in the hundreds of times I've tried to add a client in this way, so that's not a big problem.

### "IT Manager Review of ConnectWise Control"

October 18, 2018

5.0

One of the unexpected benefits of having ConnectWise Control is the ability for Managers and Office Managers to be given a subset of privileges to use the software for assisting employees remotely. There are many times they have new employees that need a little help getting familiarized with proprietary software we use in the Ag. sector. ConnectWise Control gives the new employee assurance they're not isolated on an island and the managers are not frustrated at having to drop what they're doing to drive over to a remote site to provide assistance with something that can easily be handled remotely with Control. (<--shiver, see how creepy that sounds...) This use case scenario is reason to consider a few extra licenses so your not fighting over them. We have two currently, but are considering upgrading since there are times that I can't admin since the managers are using the licenses. (Aarrghh)

Pros

This software is one of the most important tools I have in my toolbelt for quickly resolving issues. We have a few remote VPN sites and when an endpoint is having issues, it's so much more efficient to see the issue rather than have to decipher another persons interpretation of the issue. Our sites are not very far apart - about 45 minutes from main office, but when we have an issue that hinders or stops our ability to server our customers that drive feels much longer. To reiterate, resolving issues quickly and efficiently is what I like most about ConnectWise Control. Downtime is costly.

Cons

Probably my least favorite thing is getting the session filters tweaked just right. Once you get the hang of the syntax it's really not bad, but there is a learning curve. Having your endpoints arranged into session groups is well worth the effort. Oh, and the name needs to be shorter. It doesn't have to be ScreenConnect, but it needs to be that easy to say. Saying Control by itself sounds creepy, like Big Brother creepy. As an Admin I never say "I'm going to use Control to help you with that issue."

### "ConnectWise is a fantastic tool to remote in and help employees"

November 21, 2022

5.0

Pros

How easy it is to access other computers using Connectwise. It's really nice to run PowerShell scripts on it remotely as well using #!PS command before it. You can also segment groups so other people can only see their specific employees. What is also nice is installing updates for Connectwise remotely by using the reinstall command.

Cons

It's a bit pricey compared to other alternatives that we looked at.

### "Easy Access for remote support"

February 14, 2023

5.0

ConnectWise Control has helped us massively supporting users remotely, especially during the Covid pandemic when all users where working from home and we were required to provide support over the phone and whilst maintaining distancing.

Pros

ConnectWise Control is a seamless tool used for remote support. It allows IT support to connect to an end user device/Server without having to log the user or session out. meaning a user can report an issue and support personell can be on supporting in no time. There are also great file and clipboard sharing features. Along with unattended access to PowerShell and command line which can be useful for troubleshooting without impacting the users day.

Cons

ConnectWise Control is a brilliant tool for remote support, the issue I have is it can become a security risk given users machines can be accessed and remotely managed with no acceptance of session from the end user.

### "Good for IT ticket management and Time keeping "

February 20, 2022

4.0

It is a good tool and enables us to managed all out jobs and project work easily, it could do with improvement but it is one of the better job management tools I have worked with.

Pros

It is very good at job and project management. For jobs information is easily put in and can be escalated/passed to other employees in the company. The project management it can be used in conjunction with other PM software to ensure times are on track or if going over highlighted to management.

Cons

It is a little clunky, lots of clicking to get to between areas you are required to got. It can quite often take up time just to put time entries in. Some work on the GUI interface would not go amiss.

I use this software on a daily basis to keep IT operations within my organization running like a well-oiled machine. Our pharmacies are very remote and the ease of deployment makes it a breeze to troubleshoot any machine located anywhere from anywhere.

Pros

ConnectWise Control was incredibly easy to implement, and is very powerful. It comes with so many tools and features that are invaluable and solve complex problems very simply.

Cons

No cons really. Any features and updates or nice-to-have's are added by their development team in subsequent updates, and they really do listen to their user base.

we have been very happy with screenconnect and only see it getting better.

Pros

its ability to remotely connect really easy, this remote method works incredibly well.its fast too, unlike logmein or gotomeeting which can be very clunky and too busy with unnecessary controls. i love the feature of sending files and even folderswithout having to zip it.

Cons

### "Connecting The Dots Between Users and Experience"

January 16, 2020

5.0

When our office was brought down to a skeleton crew, the on-site visits took up most of our techs, which means that the tickets were piling up in the office queue. On the days where I was the only one in the office, it was ConnectWise Control that saved the day in keeping those ticket counts down. Early on in my IT career, this really helped me build my skill set as I was better at dealing with problems when I was right in front of it. This program gave me plenty of experience working with many different user pc's. Thanks for such a great product.

Pros

ConnectWise Control was really the tool that helped me expand my skillset in Information Technology. It was the key factor in helping reduce the number of on-site visits needed by a technician. It was much easier and faster to be able to remote into a client PC and see the problem recreated, troubleshoot it and correct it in a few minutes, as opposed to driving 20-45 minutes away to do the same thing and then drive back. I enjoyed being able to use the many features included in this. Being able to send a reboot command, work in the background, block user input, and upload a pertinent fie to a client pc just made knocking tickets out in a timely manner a cinch. It also helped to know when a user was idle or gone for the day for those scheduled end of day tasks.

Cons

The transfer options of getting a file/folder were sometimes picky. It seemed that it would take longer to upload a file to a client's computer by using the search and open function than it would to just drag a file/folder from my personal desktop over to the window with the client's desktop. It was inconsistent, picky at times, and just wasted so much time. You never knew which method would work better. When your business has strict SLA's, this kind of thing can kill that AND your performance record. Imagine losing your job because you didn't hit your numbers waiting on software to work...or not?

By using Connect Wise Control we are getting on time remote access to our servers, we can perform server updates and upgrades without any connection issues. Our clients are always happy that they can access our application anytime, anywhere, any device without the loss of connection. Connect Wise Control has tons of features to use without comprising downtime in this time of century.

Pros

For the past 6 months or so the company i work for has switched to Connect Wise Control, we can connect to remote servers that are most of the time unattended without the need of a human being giving us access. Moreover Connect Wise Control has some of the best features; Remote Access, which lets me to access our clients' server anywhere, anytime, and any device, Remote Meetings, with Connect Wise Control i can create a meeting to invite attendees to talk about our company's software workflow, and so much more, and lastly, the security integrated with Connect Wise Control which i can added different levels of security to different users accessing our servers via Connect Wise Control. Also, regarding to security, the different levels of security that i can give are; Permission based, Consent based, open communication, and No Footprint, Mostly we use the Consent based permission where the user will log his or her name on accessing the servers.

Cons

I Have not come across any issues with Connect Wise Control since i started using in the past six months.

### "ScreenConnect Make Support Easy"

February 1, 2021

5.0

We had a massive problem where we had been on an unstable version without realising. Support where very helpful and helped correct the problem with little fuss and even arrange a refund for the problem. What amazing support. The big thing we learned was not to use the unstable branch in production and that for more than 4 years the unstable had never caused us issue. We are now stable only due to our size and this is one of our most used applications in our tool kit for remote user support and server access.

Pros

The best features are totally the remote support and ad-hoc session access that can be shared with multiple agents. I addition we lean heavily on the lightweight client for permanent access to servers over RDS. Also ingrates well with Azure AD.

Cons

The worst part, which is minor is the amount of customisation and branding.

### "Close but missing the mark"

June 20, 2019

5.0

Overall I give you product a score of 9 out of 10. I actually love all that it does it is just you chat is very lacking. Good luck.

Pros

Price/value, Installs fast on my client's PCs, very configurable, works well with multiple monitors (now), faster than TeamViewer.

Cons

Oh, that easy... The chat window is the absolute worst! First of all ... If you go look at my chat logs you will see that I use it all day long, A LOT! Probably 200 messages a day maybe more for 2 years! I wrote that type of chat system in 2002 with visual basic. It is not object-oriented and barely HTML friendly. I suggest you embrace one of the chat libraries standards. so you don't have to roll your own. NUMBER ONE COMPLAINT It needs the ability to change my message after I have submitted it. It is so frustrating to accidentally misspell something and have no way of fixing it. When copying a prior message (to refere to It) your font is WHITE therefore if I paste it back into the chat window it is still white. (white on white!) Hello... How did the testing team miss this! It needs to remember my partial chat (un-submitted) message, even after losing connection and reconnecting or exiting and rerunning the app. It needs a search feature. (I know your code is only buffering back a short distance back, but at least search with the current buffer!) I can always scroll back further and further to expand my search. It needs to have a spell checker, (Or instantiate a COM Control of IE, Chrome and the spell checker will magically work!)

### "The single best remote access tool"

May 26, 2023

Great, we deployed ScreenConnect and never looked back. There's been zero reason too.

Pros

Small, clean, easily implemented and integrates well with our tool stack. It's pretty much everything we could as for from a tool like this and includes use auditing and recordings to meet any compliance requirements we've encountered.

Cons

Very little. The only real challenges we have are deployment and required end user actions for environments where it is not deployed. Honestly I don't know what they could even do about that as it's neither a deployment tool itself nor can they circumvent browser and OS security to be able to eliminate the necessity or end user actions in certain circumstances.

### "ConnectWise Control increases efficiency and increases customer satisfaction"

November 24, 2018

5.0

I'm an IT Consultant supporting a dozen business clients and over a hundred individual clients. Before ConnectWise Control, I was often found sitting at a client site upgrading or fixing a system issue after their work hours and sometimes way into the night. The remote access/administration solution has provided me the ability to work from my home-office saving me travel time and expense, work on multiple clients simultaneously, and has increased customer satisfaction by being able to respond to customer calls while they are on the phone and without the need for scheduling a site visit.

Pros

Ability to work from my home-office saving me travel time and expense. Ability to work on multiple clients simultaneously. Increased customer satisfaction by being able to respond to customer calls while they are on the phone and without the need for scheduling a site visit. Ability to host the server myself, providing me more value. Reasonable/flexible license pricing that fit my business model.

Cons

Security configuration a little cryptic. Ability to create a signed installer package from the guest page unclear. (Admittedly, i haven't called into tech support but scanned through the knowledge base for answers)
