### "Great remote software with good feature set."

June 19, 2019

5.0

I switched over from fixme.it as I needed a remote support app with a phone app as I use tablet and phones in the field and I'm.not always near a computer. Support has been great over chat as needed and most downtime is noted well ahead of time.

Pros

Ease of setup and configuration. Personal landing page for remote clients. Quickly see online status, system specifications and ram usage Easily issue commands to system and transfer files.

Cons

Upgrading and sometimes new clients have issues associating with account. Once in awhilenanfew workstations refuse to update and manually installing fails. Price is on the high side compared to some offerings. Screenshot is nice but really too small to be of ant use

Reason for choosing ScreenConnect

Costs.

Needed a web based portal and communication with client without having to bounce back between each session and the main page. Needed a phone/tablet app to use for remote support tech support via fix me was much slower an d sometimes required adding permissions into internet settings .

### "CW Control the most useful tool"

January 7, 2019

5.0

This software allowed us a more direct relationship with our customers, since it facilitates daily technical support and thanks to the chat itself, effective communication with the user can be made. Additionally, the updates can be executed comfortably and this favors the response times of our customers.

Pros

CW Control is absurdly stable and works under any OS that we have tested: Windows, Linux, Mac. Also in any browser: Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari. The functionality of allowing to listen to the audio of the connected PC is very useful since I can talk with the client while the support is made. Updates are easily made to the users.

Cons

Perhaps the most complicated is the administration of software adjustments. They should put better methods for security settings, since it is rather granular, but not the most intuitive. In addition to this we have not got another negative aspect in it.

### "ScreenConnect Review"

September 11, 2023

4.0

Pros

I like that we can now see software on the machine without logging in as the user. I also like that I can now login as the user on remote desktop without guiding them to join a session.

Cons

The expired token can be a problem. I appreciate that it clears up if someone is using up a seat and isn't at their computer anymore but I do wish it had maybe an idle timer instead of it running into that when I'm in the middle of something.

### "Great if you host on Windows, bad if on Linux"

August 5, 2020

5.0

Function - great. Stability; til 2019 great. Stability; since 2020 : zero.

Pros

It offers a good alternative to Teamviewer, and is IMHO even better. Price better, but functionality also. It offers the ability to request consent to customers to control their system. Add-ons increase the function set.

Cons

The support if you've the self hosted solution running on Linux is bad-bad-bad. Since 8 months we've to reboot our server 5-8 times a day because of a memory leak or something like that. Embarassing that the support team didn't pick this up, despite of tons of support requests by lots of customers.

### "Great Alternative to Cloud Remote Desktop Screen Sharing "

October 19, 2018

5.0

I've been using ConnectWise Control for several years, when it was called Screen Connect. I am satisfied with the ease of use and the flexibility with the customer installed version of the software. I would like to continue using the software in this way and not pay a monthly subscription for a cloud-based product.

Pros

I like that ConnectWise has two buying options: customer-installed on-premises software and cloud-base monthly subscription model. I prefer to host application software in my own private cloud where I can control it's use, security, connectivity, and data redundancy.

Cons

You need to have a Webdev background to customize the on-prem software. Customization could be easier with a GUI based interface.

### "Great tool with Issues"

November 28, 2018

4.0

Overall experience is positive as far as the product goes, the support is not good until you get to escalation. As long as you are a small shop this software will function well but it does nto scale well.

Pros

This software has tons of features and easy to use along with very good integration with ConnectWise automate.

Cons

While this software worked great for us while my company was growing, it became a problem at scale and when used in virtualized non-persistent environments. The tool became slow and clunky to get workign and it took threatening our account manager that we would leave the product to get proper support for our issue which was discarded as a ticket for almost a year before then.

### "Simple and efficient remote connection "

June 3, 2021

4.0

We have several years working with Connect Wise and really align up our needs and even better cost than competition. The use of applications is intuitive and easy. We will continue with them for many more years

Pros

hat we like most is the easy and efficient way to remotely connect to a team. and the many functions or customizations that can be done to improve the experience of use

Cons

It seems to me that the web interface is still better a little more, it is not something that represents a great inconvenience since it does not remove it from the tool.

### "Best Remote Support Software I have used"

September 5, 2019

5.0

Teamviewer was expensive and it was a hassle to login and access sessions, and Connectwise was an easy switch and much better overall experience.

Pros

The download is quick, the software is fast and responsive, and it takes seconds to login to a computer and be helping a user.

Cons

When doing temporary support, you cannot see the popup for UAC login, which can be of annoyance when supporting users who are under domain control. However, if you install the client you can see the UAC prompt.

### "The Whole Package"

August 18, 2019

5.0

Working for an MSP, we have set up ConnectWise Control on all of our client's computers and it is the predominant means of offering remote support. It's very convenient to be able to switch between sessions on a computer as well when working remotely on a server. It is nice to be able to configure different users to require a notification before you start controlling their screen but to not have that be a blanket rule as some users want you to logon remotely when they are away from the desk. I use this tool every day and love it!

Pros

I love how easy it is to use. The clean interface along with a full feature set makes ConnectWise Control a wonderful tool to use! I enjoy the ability to customize your most frequently used tools on the side bar as well.

Cons

When using the chat feature, users I am supporting have a tendency to miss the chat popup. It would be nice if it would start foreground so it cannot be missed.

### "Formerly ScreenConnect"

January 7, 2020

5.0

Extremely happy. We tried TeamView, excellent but pricey. Very efficient software, would recommend to any IT support people.

Pros

You can deploy the software or your own server The pricing model is great and you do not feel ripped off You can choose or not to maintain support Fast and responsive Fully customizable

Cons

IT is a bit trickier to setup properly with an SSL Certificate Some aspects of customization are a bit nebulous.

### "Love ConnectWise"

October 3, 2018

4.0

I integrated ConnectWise Control into our business back when it was ScreenConnect and self hosted the server. Despite ConnectWise taking control of the product, they have left it the same great product we purchased all those years ago. With the improvements and optimizations that have been introduced over the past couple years, it seems that Control will only get better. Control is one of my favorite IT tools, and don't know how we would survive without it.

Pros

Easy to use and manage feature packed multi-platform multi-OS fast and responsive The remote access is one of the best I have experienced.

Cons

The Meetings portion is occasionally buggy, making it a second rate platform for web meetings

### "It's about the User"

January 28, 2021

5.0

Been very happy with it and same with my clients. The only clients we have trouble with it is mac but that has more to do with apple's security and not connect wise control

Pros

That the login passcode is something we give the client and not the other way around. With other remote tools the client has to provide the passcode. A lot of the time when when it's up to them they are unable to find or provide the correct information.

Cons

The branding option doesn't have enough colors to work with.

Price and once again the passcode is one the client has to provide to start a session.

### "Better than TeamViewer"

August 30, 2020

5.0

We manage large number of clients, some of them with unattended access and others without installing the client (on demand). After trial we have strong prositive impression with the functionalities and usability of the software. There was small fear of switching from a different product but the transition went smooth. We find some new functionality that we can use every week :)

Pros

Transition was easy both from our and the client side. Non of our clients had any experience with ConnectWise control but all were happy with the product and the service. Connecting to the clients are easy, but what we liked the most is the extensive information about the client that is obtained by the ConnectWise Control (connection history, notes, run commands, view and kill processes). This is highly recommended software for any IT service company.

Cons

So far (few months) we didn't have or find any problems with the ConnectWise control. Hope it will stay that way :)

Teamviewer started adding more features which were (1) poorly implemented (2) not needed, in the effort to boost the sales, while losing focus on the most important feature of their remote connection software. The trigger for the switch was when TV limited numer of the devices for unattended access.

### "Best value out there in remote support"

July 3, 2019

5.0

We're a small company so when one of their competitors had a major price increase, I started looking for an alternative. So glad I found ConnectWise Control! We're a small company and dont have the need for constant concurrent connection so paying thousands of dollars for that functionality didnt make sense. Service has been reliable, easy tio set up and most importantly, easy or my clients to use and connect.

Pros

Easy to use. Reliable. great dashboard.

Cons

It does everything I need and surprises me with things I didnt know I needed!

### "Remote control your servers"

November 16, 2018

5.0

When we went to demo the product, we had difficulty with the sign up process, but after reaching out to support, they got it sorted out in a business day. We are using ConnectWise Control for remote unattended access (more or less daily) to various machines that we have scattered around the province in vehicles. This solution has been far more reliable in actually staying connected and reliability reconnected when disconnected, compared to our previous solution using TeamViewer and is by far less expensive for the only unattended access feature that we use.

Pros

The solution for accessing unattended hosts (they call them Access Agents, or similar) works very well on every OS that I have tried (Windows 7, Windows 10, Debian, and Ubuntu). The unattended hosts stay connected very well even over the terribly unreliable cellular network connections that most of our hosts are on. The client software (for accessing the remote hosts) works very well on Windows and is super slick. The client software for Linux, does work (Java JNLP) but is very clunky compared to the Windows client.

Cons

The clunkiness of the Linux client. The rather poor support for any sort of large motion (and video in particular) on the unattended hosts, at least with the Linux (JNLP) client, I do not really use the Windows client much. This is compared to my experience with video using TeamViewer 8 (when you can get the Teamviewer Client to work on Linux anyway)

### "Needs Updating"

October 19, 2018

4.0

We have used Labtech / ConnectWise Control for 7 years and it helped us develop from a manual break / fix sort of shop to an actual MSP. I can't imaging doing business anymore without a RMM tool.

Pros

In the beginning, "Labtech" was ahead of it's time with it's own scripting language. As it's integrated into the product it gives you a lot of options for control of the computers you are managing. Additionally, there is direct access to the database so plugins and additional functionality are more available.

Cons

The GUI / Interface obfuscated many of the advanced features. Tier I techs have a harder time finding their way around to the useful information.

### "ConnectWise Control was the best solution"

June 20, 2019

I have remote access included with the RMM software I use (which is not ConnectWise), but have chosen to get and use Control because it works easier, better, and saves me significant time.

Pros

Control is easy to use, accessible from everywhere, and I can use it easily on my Linux systems.

Cons

I have had issues with the security of my account, but I believe this was due to the improvements they are rolling out.

### "Remote Control Software That Just Works, If You Can Afford It"

March 1, 2019

5.0

Pros

ConnectWise Control is the most responsive remote control software we've used in over two decades of Managed IT work. Within 2-3 seconds of clicking the "Connect" button, the session is established and fully operational. You can select from multiple RDP sessions or the console view, and a recently rolled-out "Backstage" feature provides fully interactive PowerShell and CMD prompts that don't interrupt the active user. The product is FIPS-certified and CJIS compliant, and has controls for 2FA, consent prompts from end-users, and customizable auditing.

Cons

Since the ConnectWise acquisition of this product (formerly ScreenConnect), pricing for the self-hosted version has skyrocketed. If you don't want to pay ConnectWise monthly per technician, you're looking at a couple grand for a basic on-premise license which then needs to be renewed annually if you want to receive upgrades & security patches (which isn't really an option to ignore for software that grants remote control).

### "Great tool to use if you have all your users setup properly"

August 27, 2019

3.0

Overall good product. Wish the IT Glue password manager worked more like RoboForms so that credentials would be easier to cut and paste or automatically enter.

Pros

This works really great when you have all your users setup. It allows you to remote almost instantly. A nice features is if the user is already logged in you can pop right into the session. The file sharing is great too you can shares files between yourself and the end user.

Cons

It's pretty slow loading up. I don't like that you have to click an extra step to enable the keyboard or to copy from clipboard and paste in login area. I wish there was an easier way to retire or remove machines that are not longer in rotation.

Reason for choosing ScreenConnect

Integrates with other products we have currently have.

### "IT Pro Using ConnectWise Control to Remotely Support Clients"

March 6, 2019

5.0

Pros

I have tried, for at least 30 days, every remote control application available and have found ConnectWise to be the best for the price. Some options have the features and stability I look for in remote support tools, but they are way overpriced. ConnectWise has everything I need, such the same speed as if I am setting locally at the computer. File transfer, remote reboot, security, ability to run as a service, support for both Mac and Windows. One of the best options is I can create a session for my client, and if I con't close it from the dashboard, the client can connect with me at anytime of their choosing. I do not keep remote support sessions running on my client workstations because I want them to have the confidence there is never someone connecting to their computer without them initiating that connection.

Cons

I have found nothing that I do not like about ConnectWise Remote.
