Pros: We moved from a company that charged 25% for a lot less of what we need. While the old login software was limited to 10 computer for more than we currently pay, we can now remote into 100 computers with unlimited logins. We only needed 25 remote computers but since it is so cheap for the 100 computers we went with that and have started offering this service to our clients so that we can log in to their computers and get the financial data directly from their computers rather than having to have them do it for us (which can take both their time and ours and can be frustrating waiting for the data we need fast).

It is MUCH easier to install the software to set up a new computer as all you have to do is name a new computer and download the installer and click on the executable file on the computer you want access to and you are done. 5 minutes to install have up and running. Then you simply have a web portal to access of your computers and you are just two clicks away from the computers you need to access from anywhere in the world.

Cons: There are times when I wish there was a downloadable application to install on computers you will be using frequently to access your remote sessions. But the web login is fine and keeps you logged in for quite some time so having a program installed on your computer is not as much of a necessity. I also don't like that it has an always on preview of the desktop from your web portal. I like that you can see if someone is active on the remote computer you are wanting access to but I think there are some privacy issues that if our clients knew we could "peek" at their desktop without logging in, they might not be so ready to give us access to them.

Overall: Inexpensive, full featured remote desktop software that is super easy to administrate and use. IT professionals would be hard pressed to find something this good for this price. And companies that need remote access for their employees need look no further.

Comments: I love this software and use it daily.

Pros: Easy to use, it lets you add commonly used tools to your toolbox for easy execution, and it is very easy for the end user to setup on their device. The price is way more affordable than their competition.

Cons: The description of their pricing is a little confusing other than that I think this is a great remote tool.

Very affordable web-based remote access tool that works great!

Pros: Machines can be grouped in any way the user would like. Permissions with the "Access" package give certain users remote access to only what you allow. Full-screen version works much smoother than other softwares in the same category. Install once on the user machine and good to go!

Cons: Would like to have a standalone admin program instead of having to use the web. Wake-On-Lan doesn't always work with Macs or devices over Wi-Fi (however, customer support is always willing to help troubleshoot and are a great help!)

Comments: Most professional platforms like ScreenConnect are hugely cost prohibitive. The top dogs usually want a few thousand a year to start. I suggest giving it a try. Working in the IT industry I have tried almost all remote access tools and I can't recommend ScreenConnect enough.

Pros: So when a user is having trouble with their device I direct them to the support site the through a wide array of options. Most commonly telling them the website and giving them a code or just emailing them an invitation. The user in trouble simply downloads and runs the file and I can connect and start helping them right away. ScreenConnect has a ton of helpful tools and makes it easy to convert one-time sessions into remotely accessible machines. It's really easy to manage a ton of clients. I was used to the best remote access tools and was extremely pleased with the superior quality of ScreenConnect remote sessions.

Cons: Their Samsung mobile device support is limited but having the ability to access large majority of android device screens is a huge advantage.

Pros: Easy to establish a connection between myself and end users - we have the URL embedded on our website allowing them to just click and enter the required code.

Cons: Connecting to mobile devices needs a lot of work. Button and keyboard events don't work well and some on screen controls for home / back would be great.

I have the ability to resolve the issues of my clients without having to travel to their location.

Pros: Easy to use both by clients and myself and my clients. Using the tool box I can store scripts that are used often and this allows quicker issue resolution time.

Cons: I like all aspects of this software that I have been using. The only con is I didnt know about this produst before spending a lot more with team viewer.

Pros: I like the web UI, and that I can manage several remote sessions. I like that it has an API so that as my business grows, we can furhter integrate the software into our tools.

Cons: I would prefer if there was a permanent onscreen share/dont share button, which defaults to not share. When you launch a controller session, it would be good before it starts, if you could choose which side is in control at the start. As it is likely that the person is on their computer when you connect, its probably polite to start not seeing their screen straight off.

Overall: it allows me to support my business customers in real time, develop apps together offers real value to them and a unique insight form into their business lives. I don't have to travel, I can offer timed short sessions to work around my customers time slots, and allow for last minute changes in my schedule to maximise my earning potential. I could live without this product it was just what I was looking for to help me run my business entirely from home.

Pros: Easy to use, easy to customize, and reliable. WOrks well over multiple connection types, and supports all features in one price (for control) --- no upgrades necessary. Basically they took everything good about logmein and logmein central which I used religiously until back to back to back years of price doubles or more.

Cons: Have had a few issues with updates, but understand and support their desire to keep improving their product

Pros: The web interface is really easy to use. Implementing the program on a client computer for continual use is also very easy via the web. The ability to send a client an email with a link to the session makes it easier for clients that are not very tech savvy and don't navigate the internet that well. The program has a very small profile and will not use a lot of resources on the client system.

Cons: It would be nice if I could use the web interface to force a machine to reboot if it is in a state where it will not respond like other remote control programs allow. While I like the web interface a desktop application would also be nice like some other remote control programs.

Overall: The ability to remote into a client computer via the web.

Pros: This product is great in diagnosing and accessing other computers. It is fairly inexpensive, non-intrusive and allows many features like blacking out the screen, etc.

Great hosted unattended remote control from PCs - Not so much from Android.

Pros: Easy to setup

Geographic customization (for hosted)
Easy upgrades to server side and client side (automatic or forced).
Keep organized and secure with groups for different levels of access.

Cons: The Android mobile app has gone from bad to worse to bad again. The mouse function makes it frustrating to connect and support anyone. At one point, for a few months, the mouse didn't work at all. It shouldn't be this hard to use a phone to do remote support. I switched from LogMeIn and their Andorid app was fantastic.

A complete redesign is necessary and should be a native app, not a browser wrapper.

Overall: Ability to provide support to remote users.

Pros: This software makes remote support of my client's computer and servers a breeze. It is simple and easy to use for both the support representative and the client. I can't even describe how much time this product has saved and they keep adding features all the time.

Pros: Affordable, easy to use, easy to get up and running on new systems, and auto reconnecting to a client after reboot is a god send.

Cons: Gui could use some freshening up, organization of units could be made simpler, tagging system is cumbersome and not always clear on how to organize computers the way I want to.

The software formerly know as ScreenConnect meets all our needs for a remote control platform.

Pros: The sheer ease of use and versatility is amazing. We previously used LogMeIn for years and have found this to be a much better solution.

Cons: The web interface can experience issues with slowness when met with remote computers with a larger resolution than your own screens.

Pros: Works just as good as teamviewer and gotoassist, and much cheaper. Quick install for the remote clients and easy navigation to help.

Cons: Does not have a desktop management software, you have to use the web client. Not too bad but can be slow depending on internet speed.

Pros: Flexibility and ease of deployment. It works across many platforms seamlessly and gives us the freedom to access Linux and Unix clients as well as Windows..

Cons: Update process disrupts a few of our more secure installations because it requires some of my clients to reconfigure their firewalls every time.

Pros: This software is quick and easy to use. Unlike other vendors, you are allowed to create a pool of machines for unattended access and all administrators can access them. Mobile app also works well.

Cons: I do wish updating endpoints to the latest version was a one-click action.

Overall: I get my work done much more efficiently and experience fewer interruptions.

Pros: I can provide ad hoc support to my Mac and Windows clients without breaking the bank on a LMI Ignition subscription .

Cons: I can't change the resolution on the remote computer through the interface. Also the chat window on the client side is unattractive and too easily dismissed.

I have been using the cloud version do over an year and been very useful.

Cons: Doesn't seem to work as well with Linux. Not able to see contents of directories on my Linux comuters.

Pros: The mobile app was a key reason for using ConnectWise, it allows our mobile and remote support reps to literally be anywhere in the world and instantly access servers and client pc's in an instant.

The interface is very easy on both mobile and desktop, ease of connection form the client side is perfect and the ability to not just support on the fly but build permanent access machines and group them is a great help.

Cons: Customer support is hard to get on the phone, at least it was when they were ScreenConnect, to be fair i haven't needed support since the rebranding to ConnectWise. Email support is slow but acceptable. That being said, the fact that i haven't needed support, and truthfully have only ever needed it maybe twice, kinda speaks for itself.

Overall: mobility, reliability, ease of use, permanent access machines, client side ease of installation. mobility.

Used Screen Connect for about 2 years. It was easy to deploy in my network and connect to clients.

Pros: The ease of use. Compared to other Remote programs, Screen Connect is just as fast, if not faster. Sessions connect fast and the extra tools are an extra help such as the file box and remote commands.

Cons: Setting up different sites was a bit difficult but once I figured it out it was easy. It could be easier though.

Overall: Very good remote software and being able to connect to clients on the fly. It was very cheap and affordable even for a one man shop. Made me look like a bigger organization.

Connect wise is an excellent piece of software for managing customers computers.

Pros: It makes giving that extra level of support to your customers a breeze, Customers really enjoy that fact that if they are having an issue with their computer then instead of bringing it in we can remote in and sort the issues.

Cons: Sometimes connection is slow and that depends on server location as we are in New Zealand server location is in Australia and can have an impact on speed and level of service we can provide

Pros: Software has not failed and works great with all OS. The software is quick in connecting to the client and also the restart feature has not failed on me. It has always connected me back without any issues.

Cons: A little expensive for an occasional user and the file transfer function should be free to all. The software should be made where a user should not have to download a file but connect by clicking on a prompt so that inexperience people don't need to be get confused

Overall: Manage to get control without making a physical visit to resolve minor issues

Pros: We used screenconnect after longtime with LogMeIn Rescue so our standards was high and screenconnect didn't let us down.

Great solution with competitive price and good features.

Cons: We would like to see some crucial features to be added but the good thing that the development team keeps upgrading the system in regular basis.

Things like a calling card/desktop icon for OSX to connect to support would be great.

Also having a sound notification when support session connects from the client side.

I provide remote IT support. This would be difficult without ScreenConnect.

Pros: I can quickly and easily connect to any of my remote systems with a click of the button using the ScreenConnector application. The variety of connection options allows me to reduce the network impact for my remote customers. The ability to issue commands remotely is fantastic. It allows me to work behind the scenes without disrupting my customer's regular business.

Cons: The random "rate your experience" surveys that pop up after disconnecting a session. The new "your system is being controlled by..." banner on the remote system. It wouldn't be so bad if I could modify what it says. And the android app is barely adequate in a pinch. Definitely not something I would use regularly.

I evaluated several vendors before selecting ScreenConnect, and have enjoyed using it since.

Pros: The software is easy to install and use. The interface is very intuitive and requires little training to use successfully.

Cons: I have had several occasions where the web interface has to restart itself due to unknown error. It could be related to connection of ISP. I have had a few instances where the applications fails on the end machine, but this is not very common.

Overall: Remote management of PCs across 13 libraries in 5 counties.

Screenconnect is a great product that allows me to remotely help my users from anywhere in the world

Pros: Its simplicity but also the features like command line interface, file transfer, remotely updating the software, etc.

Cons: There isn't much to dislike. Occasionally on macs or machines with high resolutions (4k, etc) it can be slow.

Pros: Speed of getting connected to a remote client, with inclusive file transfer and reporting options without extra charge.

Cons: Occasional cloud outages, which may not occur if you hosted the software on your own servers. Issues are resolved quick however.

Overall: Cost saving

Works great with Winows Machine. Very poor with Ubuntu Linux

Pros: It's easy to setup and provides a professional interface for clients. It works reliably with Windows machines.

Cons: It doesn't work with Ubuntu. WHen connected to remote Ubuntu Desktop machines it is very slow and many graphics errors. A little pricey if your a small IT support company that casually uses it.

Overall: Remote machine support.

Pros: Easy to use, intuitive, multi platform, App for Smartphone and cost - benefit also is a Plus agains others platforms

Cons: Some times have to remote reinstall the App because the remote screen turns blank, would like to have file transfer possibilities.

Overall: A very easy to use platform, cost benefit is a plus against other remote platforms, also the easy setup for non dedicated remote agents and to provide remote support is very simple to use.

Pros: Ability to control and connect to another computer is very easy. Love that you can control another computer if the operator is not there.

Cons: For meetings there is no way to phone in from a land line.

Pros: The cloud solution which I new as beta tester is fantastic. Compared with other solutions where you have to install software on your computer and licences are linked to it, ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect) allows me to use whatever computer I'm on. Even an smartphone but my fingers are too big to manage it properly.

Other features I like:
*I love the ability to change a remote support conection into a full access.
*You can customize your online website to match your corporate id.

Overall a nice alternative to other reown an expensive solutions.

Cons: I've found an issue with a Mac install. Maybe it was something specific from that laptop, since other OSX remote sessions went well.

Pros: Linux compatibility! This is the reason I chose Screenconnect and I believe the transition to connectwise was smooth. Hope to keep seeing great things.

Cons: The taskbar and certain windows won't appear when remotely connecting/controlling on Zorin OS linux. They use Gnome 3.0 I believe. If there is a fix for this it would be appreciated. Also if more features such as reboot and reconnect worked on Linux, that would be cool, but I am sure there are technical limitations.

Overall: Linux support, ease of use, better price than competitors.

Pros: The ease of setup of new customers and the portal make this cloud based app wonderful. I don't have to manage anything. And the price fits perfectly for a single outsourced CIO.

Cons: Disabled some of the remote printing redirection features can be difficult and the two factor authentication is clunky.

Overall: Inexpensive software that allows for remote support for my clients.

Awesome across platforms and amazing when working with multiple monitors (on the client's end)

Pros: Interface is good, works across the board and my clients usually don't have any trouble getting the remote session started

Cons: Price skyrocketed with the change of ownership and required me to upgrade plans after Windows 10 required updates. I chose ScreenConnect because it was a much cheaper option vs competitors. Now I'm evaluating other options because pricing isn't special.
One missing feature is ability to get admin access once connected. If the user didn't run the connector as admin, it still works and we get connected, but I basically lose connection whenever a UAC prompt happens. I have to End Session and talk through client to get connector to run as admin. Competing products allow host to request admin and once client completes UAC, it stays with admin rights for the rest of the session

Pros: Features are clear and work exactly as expected. Easier to use than most of the competition, and at a better price. Quality is improving with every release, and problems don't stay problems for long. The steady point releases mean I can test fixes and features when I want, and the automatic snapshots mean I don't have to worry about something breaking on the upgrade.

Cons: Performance can occasionally be a bit sluggish with the hosted service, I suspect due to host loads. The product is still very usable, but it is noticeable at times.

Overall: Reduced time to resolution for our customers. Reduced technician travel time. Reduced overall cost to support both customers and internal users.

Pros: Has saved me many times on trips to my customer's sites. Also allows me to give a more reliable remote support.

Cons: None I have not had any problems with the software. I think only issue I had one time was with connecting with a MAC but it was resolved

Pros: It's easy to use and very stable. Clients see when I'm connected. I can chat with them through text when we're not talking on the phone.

Cons: Since Windows 10, I've found that people sometimes need to reboot before they can install the app, but it happens rarely.

Overall: It allows me to help people remotely in a much better way than Remote Desktop but it's not outrageously expensive.

Pros: Easy to connect to remote users, flexible interface for dealing with multiple screens, security prompts, etc.

Cons: Can only match the client system monitors (so can't do 2 monitors if they only have one connected, so not a great solution for remote users as a full time connection option). Security prompts sometimes block screen input without indicating why the session appears locked.

Overall: We switched to ScreenConnect after LogMeIn Rescue was getting too expensive for the number of users we had. We also tried some other on premise solutions. ScreenConnect worked better and was easier to connect and support our clients. Since we sold off part of the business and reduced support staff, we have switched to the hosted version of ScreenConnect (the upgrade price to get the Windows 10 fix didn't make sense at our smaller size). Still easy to use and connect to both external systems and internal systems for support. Would highly recommend this product for remote troubleshooting and training.

Pros: Ease of use and setting up client connections. The toolbox and remote reboot features.

Cons: iPhone app is consistently broken.

Overall: I use ScreenConnect to access approximately 100 unattended machines plus the occasional on demand support call. Generating a session and getting the client connected is easy, enabling unattended access from there is even easier. The toolbox and remote restart (especially in Safe Mode) are extremely helpful. I've tried many of the competitors products, and I prefer Screen Connect. My only negative is the iPhone app has not worked many times. They do an update and it works, then they do an update and it's broken again.

Recommendations to other buyers: Definitely worth taking the time to try it out and learn all of its features.

Overall: Our remote support department have been using ScreenConnect for almost a year now it has been a great experience.
The service is fast and reliable and has never gone down once. We use it to support our break/fix customers remotely and the ease of use to get clients to connect is great. Alot of other remote software gets complicated for the client, clicking several links to get connect, but with ScreenConnect, simply download and run.

I can do this very nicely with unattended service and I can also connect to those same computers from my mobile..fast and secure access. Overall: I am a LogMeIn Rescue user since several years. I was looking for a similar, but less expensive remote desktop solution.
I used ScreenConnect for several months, in conjunction with LogMeIn Rescue.
During this period, I compared the value of both products and found the overall RD experience to be superior with LMI and chose to spend the extra money for this.
ScreenConnect is an excellent solution, and I did not expect it to compare on all aspects to a more expensive and more comprehensive product, but I found LMI better suited for my line of work.

LMI allowed that from advanced commands. needs more controlled file transfer; local IP not appearing in web interface is needed. need a dashboard to reboot machines en masse. mac task switching messes up windows buttons; sometimes primary clicks become secondary mouse button clicks. Make mac buttons match to remote (not alt/option mapping to command)

Overall: Have almost 250 machines in my and it costs 400 bucks less than similarly scaled LMI Central. will never go back to LMI

Cons: It is very flexible but you may need to call into support if you cannot easily achieve what you need through the GUI.

Overall: The main problem I had with other remote access software was the inconsistent connection and lag on different platforms - Windows suffered from dropped and failed connections and Mac suffered from severe lag where I ended up driving in to work because the remote software caused more problems than it was worth.

ScreenConnect resolved all my issues and at a much better price point. It just works.

Comments: ScreenConnect has been a fantastic investment. Super easy to use, configure, and integrate into our website. Compared to other programs we tested I've found that screen connect is easy to have even the most computer illiterate client's initiate a session. Overall: I have been using the product since last summer. I really chose it because of price, as I was desperate for a remote support solution that we could afford. It really has lowered my stress level immensely. I have over 90 users in 4 locations and find it invaluable in my job. I remote with vendors and other helpdesks to solve issues, and double remote to help the end user clients without having to displace them from their desk. It is also wonderful when users start out doing mobile or remote work with either their own or my devices. I can zap in and troubleshoot for them very quickly.. helping with their VPN establishment etc. I have found support for the product to be very helpful and personable as well; they assisted me to upgrade/update when I first started using the software.

A solution that has and continues to exceed what we thought no one could match with LogMeIn. The best part of of this transition is the cost savings. We replace our LogMeIn product with ScreenConnect for 1/3rd the price, again WITHOUT loosing ANY functions and ACTUALLY we gained in functions.

I can't say enough about our refreshing find in ScreenConnect. While we're only approaching 1-year of using ScreenConnect, it has been a celebrated transition, not by our company, but by the hundreds of clients we support.

Cons: We wish we had found it sooner!

Overall: As an MSP of many years, we have used over a dozen different applications to provide remote support, including offerings from all the major software providers. ScreenConnect has emerged as the most versatile, easiest to use, most functional remote support tool we have encountered. Extremely well written, supported, and updated, I would recommend it to anyone. (Except our competitors...I hope they don't discover the powerful tools ScreenConnect has to offer!) Overall: I use this tool both for own company supporting my clients and internally at another clients supporting hundreds their own internal users. The system is scalable, supports multiple screens, and I have only seen one bug so far which I intend to report (that has to do with an inconsequential setting of wallpaper on a remote mac client. I took a star off the customer support because my internal dealings with sales and use of different products with this was very confusing as I was bounced around to many people and had a hard time getting the answer I needed. But on terms of supporting the product directly, its great.

Recommendations to other buyers: Allow MFA for users other than the account admin.

Pros: The software gives me more features than it's closest competitors, auditing, functionality, and a simple user interface.

Cons: I have yet to find something I don't enjoy about the software.

Overall: We started using ScreenConnect because it was more cost effective than our previous software, and had quite a few more features. While utilizing the trial we discovered the amount of control, flexibility, auditing, and cheaper than the other options available. We contacted support and their sales team multiple times through our trial, and they were incredibly helpful, and insightful during the entire process. We enjoyed everything so much we decided to purchase, and roll it out to all the equipment we access remotely. I'm so fond of the software I even use it for my personal remote access.
It's great for any size of business, as well as the home users.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try it, play with it, try to break it. You'll fall in love with it.

Overall: I use ScreenConnect everyday in my roll as a Application Administrator. Connecting to customer machines all over the world has never been so easy. Back ground command tasks can be done without customer interruptions. Messaging customers is simple and an excellent feature. You don't have to wait for them to see their email or even our Skype for Business IM's, It pops up and gets their attention. What did we do before screenconnect is history.... Get more done quickly! Get Connected via Screen Connect!

Cons: The need to get the client installer past security on the Mac since they don;t feel the need to pay the 99/year developer fee ! Should have more than 10 "access" licenses at the base level

Pros: Ease of Use, web interface is simple for end users, works great when connected to workstations

Cons: Some users complain of desktop looking way off after ending connection. They have to restart their workstation to get it back to normal which is a hassle when they have work open. Mac users experiencing security issues and having to walk them through over the phone how to open the file.

Overall: I like the ease of having users connecting to this via web browser. The remote control functionalities are relatively smooth and I like the chat feature so you can keep your user in the loop. Minor tweaks would be UAC administrative prompts blank out the screen if you don't set the settings before hand and having Mac users connecting they get a security warning and have to open it from Finder instead of directly from the download. Not necessarily a huge issue but when you have users that are not so IT savvy, there should be further instructions on ScreenConnect's end that have instructions for Mac users.

Recommendations to other buyers: Maybe a little more instructions for end users so the tech can spend less time explaining how to get connected. End users get frustrated having to jump through several hoops just to even get the remote connection started as they need their issue resolved that they initially opened a case for.

Comments: We've used GoToAssist for years with over 400 unattended machines. We tried trials for TeamViewer and other options, and came back to ScreenConnect for its incredibly easy deployment, super fast connection speed, ultra flexible cloud-hosted instances and outstanding support. TeamViewer's frame rates and video compression tech may be best in class, but ScreenConnect's feature set for IT pros is really hard to beat (preview screenshot before connect, remote command execution, platform extensions, reboot and reconnect for Mac & PC, and much more).

Pros: Extremely fast and lightweight to deploy and use. Fabulous extended feature set for IT pros. Extremely flexible and totally re-brandable, even in their public cloud. Aggressive pricing for the industry and outstanding support and development teams.

Cons: Requires installing the Java JDK for Macs 10.11+ in order to reliably connect to UNATTENDED sessions. Apparently, the app is Java dependent, and Apple eliminated some code in recent OS versions. I understand they are working on eliminating this drawback, but I'm not clear as to the timetable. Also, Macs have issues with losing connection during sleep, when they didn't have that issue under GoToAssist. There are workarounds, but they aren't super elegant presently (eg - prevent sleep for laptops connected over WiFi while on AC Power, etc).

Recommendations to other buyers: Do a demo! You'll love it! If you support a LOT of Macs, you'll want to wring out the functionality before going in big.

Comments: I can't tell you how Screen Connect has brought my stress levels down. Why didn't I do this years ago? ... I have no answer!!

It was incredibly easy to set up and implement. I love the ACCESS feature which I use to manage all my servers. Its great to know I am just seconds away from a particular computer instead of driving out to the location.

Our customers are benefiting too from a much faster response time to their problems. A lot of the time its a small trivial matter.. and accessing their computers remotely for this just makes sense.

I would love it if Screen Connect could come out with a way to sign out of the browser admin login, (if you ever use someone Else's computer to remote in. Ie... to make it sign out of admin for all devices apart from the one your working on etc.

Overall I just couldn't be happier. My life just got a lot easier.
